Love Comes To Me
Chapter 716: Treating well

It wasn't until Rowson left that Solomon relaxed.

He was really afraid that this man would steal his mummy away again.

Noticing that Solomon was feeling a little down again, Eloise tried to be patient and reassured him for a long time before Solomon became active again. On the day in question, Eloise had been lying in her bed for too long, so she went for a walk in the garden downstairs.

On her return, she saw a very stylishly dressed woman in front of the ward.

She didn't care at first, but took Solomon's hand and walked slowly towards the ward.

Who knew that the woman's eyes kept falling on her, hot as if to stare a hole through her.

After they had gone in, the woman followed.

The woman was Adeline, but today she was a little too heavily made up and had a wig on, so Eloise couldn't tell who she was for a while. Seeing the smug gaze on Adeline's face, Eloise was a little puzzled and asked politely, "And you are, may I ask?"

Adeline let out a snort, looked Eloise up and down and said mockingly, "Quite the nobleman, what, have you forgotten me so soon?"

It was only when she heard Adeline's voice that Eloise remembered who it was.

However, she did not think that Adeline had come here today to visit her.

So she deliberately showed an apologetic look and said with a smile, "Sorry, I've seen so many people, I really can't remember." When Adeline heard this, she was furious that this woman had forgotten all about her, clearly not taking her into account.

So wasn't her last fracas and the humiliation she had suffered a waste of effort?

Thinking about the last incident, Adeline's body radiated a strong sense of hatred. Her eyes were so vicious that even Solomon sensed it.

He took a step forward and stepped in front of Eloise, glaring at the woman warily.

If Solomon hadn't suddenly stepped over, Adeline would have ignored him completely.

Such a tiny one, though, Adeline didn't give it a second thought.

Just stared at Eloise with eyes like hardened poison.

She stood in front of the door of the ward with her shoulders clasped and said viciously, "It doesn't matter if you don't remember me, after all, a vicious woman like you will get what's coming to her sooner or later!" As she said this, she looked at the hospital gown Eloise was wearing, an unkind gleam in her eyes.

Sensing Adeline's unkindness, Eloise tried her best to maintain a calm tone.

"What are you trying to do again?"

Adeline slowly moved closer towards her, "Doing what, coming to see you, to see how down you are, I heard you were injured and I thought you were bedridden and about to die."

At her blatant provocation, Eloise's face sank straight down.

But before she could say anything, Solomon suddenly pushed Adeline away angrily and said, "You're talking nonsense!"

Anger was all over his little face.

Although Solomon was still a child, the strength in his hands was not something to be underestimated.

Adeline was unprepared and was staggered by Solomon's push.

She looked down at Solomon and said disdainfully, "You have a son with someone else and you're still pestering Rowson, you're hooking up with someone else, you don't know what he sees in a woman like you!" The insulting language was too much for Eloise to bear, but she didn't want to argue with the woman in front of Solomon.

Pointing at the door, she said sternly, "Get out!"

Adeline ignored it and pressed on.

"It's my business to go out, you have no right to interfere, but I'd like to see how you have the cheek to stay with Rowson. Adeline said, about to go up and touch Eloise's face.

Looking at Adeline's long nails, Eloise stepped back and said, "You like Rowson, that's your business, not mine. Do you know why Rowson doesn't like you? It's because you're so aggressive and blame everything on someone else! He doesn't like you and you should reflect on yourself!"

At Eloise's words, Adeline's face instantly changed.

What she hated most was that Rowson had turned a blind eye to her feelings for her, and now that she was being exposed in plain sight by this woman she couldn't see, she went mad in a flash.

On impulse, she reached out and pushed Eloise hard, saying, "Go to hell, bitch! What's the point of being arrogant just because Rowson likes you!"

She moved so fast that Eloise was caught off guard.

Her body was already bruised and she was pushed against the wall, the wound instantly crumbling open and oozing blood.

Solomon froze in shock, tears welling up in his eyes.

The next moment, though, he turned violently and lunged forward menacingly.

A headbutt into the woman's waist pushed the man straight up against the wall.

But he was still young, after all, and Adeline had been professionally trained by the family before, so Solomon couldn't do anything to her.

In her anger, Adeline pushed him to the ground.

The force with which he was thrown to the ground caused Solomon to grunt in pain.

Seeing Solomon on the ground, Eloise cried out in pain, "Solomon!" and shouted angrily at Adeline, "He's just a child! Do you have to hit him so hard?!"

Solomon hated himself beyond measure at this point, being so weak.

If he had been stronger, he would have been able to protect Mummy.

So much hate for that wretched woman!

At that moment, Hector, who was in the ward listening to Thomas's report, came out and saw Eloise with blood on her clothes and a woman confronting Solomon with a death grip.

In an instant his face sank, the temperature around him dropped and a storm brewed in his eyes.

He strides towards Eloise, not even looking at the woman, and directly instructs Thomas, "Give me good hospitality!"

The last word carried a vague hint of murderous intent.

Thomas knew that the boss was angry and dared not be slow to carry the howling woman straight out.

What awaited her would be a torture.

Hector didn't bother with the woman, he picked Eloise up and put her on the bed and quickly called the doctor.

Eloise's wound had opened up, causing blood to flow freely.

When the doctor saw it, he frowned.

The wound was in such a state that it would have to be re-bandaged, but with Hector watching, his sharp, knife-like gaze fell on the doctor's hand.

If he hurt Eloise even a little, Hector would kill him with his eyes.

The doctor was relieved when the dressing was finished, and quickly took his things and left.

If he had stayed any longer, he would have been frozen.

All the while, Solomon stayed by the bedside, his little eyes pitiful.

His face was the same as Hector's.

The resemblance between the two faces is striking, but the expressions are also the same, which makes them so delightful to watch.

Eloise was in pain, but was still amused by the sight of the father and son.

When they saw her laugh, their faces eased a little.

But the happy result was that Eloise pulled the wound and sucked in her breath in pain.

Both father and son tensed up and leaned over at the same time.

The movements were identical again, heads almost touching, and Solomon pursed his lips and took the lead in averting his eyes. Looking to Eloise, he whispered, "Mummy, are you still in pain?"
