Love Comes To Me
Chapter 717: Turning black and white upside down

Eloise blanched and smiled reassuringly, "It's okay, Mummy doesn't hurt anymore."

Looking at Hector again with a bit of pleading, she hoped he would set a good example for Solomon.

With her looking at him like this, how could Hector say anything to Solomon? His cold, hard face softened a little and he said to Solomon, "Be a good boy and stay with Mummy, don't disturb her." Solomon pouted, but nodded obediently.

Hector got up, remembering that the woman was still unresolved, and went out to ask Thomas to bring the man in.

Not knowing what Thomas had done, Adeline kept dodging in fear at the sight of Hector, her eyes afraid to meet Hector's. Hector was cold, like he was looking at a fly.

"Apologise!"

He said coldly, spilling out from between his thin lips.

Adeline shuddered, but bit her lip stubbornly, refusing to say anything.

Hector didn't say anything, he looked directly at Thomas and kept his words short and simple.

"Knock the man out and put him in a sack, replace a forest and throw him in."

Adeline looked at Hector with wide eyes and disbelief.

He had thought that Thomas' words were the limit, but he had never thought that Hector would be more ruthless than Thomas!

Adeline had the guts to yell, "You want my life? That's a straw man!"

Hector curled his thin lips and smiled cruelly.

"Yes, I do want you dead."

She had dared to lay hands on his Eloise, and she would have to pay the price.

It was a good thing he had appeared just then, otherwise the consequences would have been unthinkable.

Seeing the ruthlessness in Hector's eyes, Adeline was completely panicked.

However, her eyes still glared at Eloise in the hospital bed, even though Eloise was just lying calmly, looking at her without a ripple in her eyes. But Adeline somehow felt that she was mocking herself.

She had grown up smoothly, and could not bear such humiliation.

"Ask me to apologise to her, no way!"

As soon as the words left her mouth, Hector's eyes fell on Thomas.

Thomas took it in his stride and dragged the person straight out the door without any semblance of mercy.

Adeline screamed as Thomas pulled a pile of paper out of nowhere and shoved it directly into the woman's mouth.

Now Adeline couldn't even scream, her eyes full of terror.

Eloise looked on coldly and didn't say anything.

Solomon snuggled up to her, too good to be true.

Eloise stroked his head, one by one, and it was a lovely sight.

Thomas's hands tugged hard on Adeline, threatening to throw her into the woods.

Adeline's eyes burst into tears and she made a desperate whimpering sound.

Now she was really scared.

This man Hector, he had many secret ways to kill a man.

To him, she was nothing more than a tiny ant.

In this moment, she gave in and nodded desperately at Hector.

Hector glanced at her coldly and gave Thomas a look.

Thomas lets go and removes the paper from her mouth.

By now Adeline's face was already blubbering, tears washing a trail of powder from her face.

She bites her lip in humiliation as she takes a step towards Eloise.

Standing a few steps away from the bed, she stood still, her head bowed like a gnat.

"I'm sorry."

Eloise was about to say something when Hector said coldly, "Sorry for what?"

Adeline shuddered, closed her eyes, gritted her teeth and blurted out, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said those things, I shouldn't have pushed you, please forgive me."

And so the drama came to an end, with Hector talking to Eloise as gently as if nothing had happened.

There was no trace of the ruthlessness of the cold voice that had just spoken of knocking people out and throwing them into the woods.

Even if he had been in the same state he had just been in, Eloise was not afraid of him at all, and her heart warmed.

He was always there when she was at her most critical.

Just then, the door to the ward was opened again and Rowson came in from outside.

He looked at the people inside and frowned.

Adeline's face was covered in makeup, a testament to what she had just been through.

When she saw Rowson, Adeline cried out as if she had caught a lifeline, "Brother Rowson, I only came here to visit my sister-in-law out of the goodness of my heart, but she didn't appreciate me at all and said some humiliating things, which really made me sad.

I reminded my sister-in-law that she is a family man and should not get too close to that man, but instead of listening, she wanted that man to come over and beat me up, and you see this is proof of their guilt in bullying me." Adeline said presenting the bruise on her arm to Rowson.

Rowson glanced at it and went completely black.

Looking at her face, Eloise laughed out loud, "I didn't know Miss Adeline was so good at smearing people, turning black and white upside down.

Solomon could not allow others to slander her mummy, she said crisply, "Yes, you pushed mummy! Mummy got hurt and Daddy was just here to help her, not like she said."

Adeline followed up with, "Mr. Rowson, look at her, she stays with this man all the time and doesn't give a damn about you, it's not worth it to you."

Rowson sniffed at Eloise and glanced aside at Hector, his brow furrowing even tighter.

Sensing his displeasure, Eloise couldn't help but feel a little mixed.

Rowson didn't believe her.

At that moment another sharp pain came from the wound.

Eloise blanched, her hand subconsciously resting on the wound.

Her fingers felt a sticky hand and her nose smelt blood.

When he looked down, he saw that the wound had opened up again.

Hector had been watching him and immediately noticed that something was wrong.

He walked over to her and saw the blood on her hand, his face immediately sank and he said in a cold voice, "Has it opened up again?"

Eloise nodded, her face hard.

"Wait, I'll call the doctor."

Hector's eyes sank slightly.

Eloise was leaning against the bed, panting slightly.

A face as white as a sheet, she had no strength to speak at all.

Only a faint nod signalled that he knew.

At that moment, Rowson noticed the commotion and didn't bother to tangle with Adeline, so he walked over quickly.

He was startled when he saw the blood on Eloise's hand.

Nervously, he asked, "Eloise, how are you?"

Eloise hung her head, somewhat speechless from the pain of her wound.

Seeing her ignore her, Rowson became more anxious and gathered around Eloise to ask questions.

Hector looked irritated and reached out to stop her, saying coldly, "She's wounded, so step aside."

At that, Rowson was a little upset.

He didn't like the way Hector spoke to him, as if Hector was the master.

But seeing Eloise's frail appearance, he shut his mouth reluctantly in the end.
