Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 718: What a nice thought
Rowson held back his discomfort and stepped aside, his eyes still falling on Eloise with concern.
When Hector saw that he was not bothering Eloise, he sent for the doctor.
Soon the doctor hurried over.
As soon as he saw the blood on Eloise's clothes, he was furious.
The doctor heaved the object in his hand onto the table with a scowl.
"What's going on, do you not want this body? It doesn't work if you split your wound once, you have to do it again a second time, so your body can't take it know?" Within a short period of time, the patient's wound was opened twice, can one not be angry.
It was so easy to heal a little, and then this one after another, as a doctor, she was most uncomfortable with this kind of behaviour.
No one in the ward dared to disturb the sullen doctor.
Both Hector and Rowson felt that they were in the wrong, so they let the doctor scold them.
Only when the doctor was tired of talking did Hector say, "Doctor, is there anything wrong with her?"
The doctor looked at him and said, "Not now, but a few more times and she'll be weaker.
How the hell do you take care of a patient? If you don't want to treat the wound, don't send her here."
Hearing the doctor's rebuke, Hector said guiltily, "I'm sorry, I'll take care of it from now on."
When Rowson heard this, he was instantly upset.
What did Hector mean? Eloise was his fiancée, so he didn't need to take care of her.
He said, "Doctor, I'm her husband and I'll take care of her, and it will never happen again."
The doctor was confused when he saw both of them rush to assure him.
He looked at the two men separately and said with a cold snort, "I should have known better, what kind of loyalty would you be showing here, get out, I have to change the gauze on the patient." The two men, who were calling the shots, had no choice but to obey in the face of the nonchalant doctor.
Before Hector walked out of the ward, he looked at Eloise again and said reassuringly, "I'll be right outside, don't be afraid."
Rowson was not happy and held his breath as he went out.
In the ward.
The doctor lifts Eloise's shirt and removes the gauze, which has long been stained with blood.
Getting the wound during this, Eloise huffed in pain.
"Now you know it hurts? What kind of person is so unloving? The sky's the limit, not as important as your own body."
The doctor rambled on, unable to stop complaining.
She was about the same age as Eloise's mother and had a daughter at home who was about the same age as Eloise and was also Eloise's primary care doctor.
When Eloise was brought in, she was covered in bruises.
She was so distressed that she couldn't help but say a few words.
Eloise's heart warmed a little and she said good-naturedly, "I know I was wrong, I'm sorry."
When the doctor saw how good she was, he couldn't keep his face straight and tugged at the corners of his mouth, "Don't apologise to me.
Eloise smiled, her pale face still not able to hide the delicacy of her features.
At that moment, outside the ward door.
Rowson tugged at Hector's collar, his svelte face looking a little twisted.
"What did you do Eloise?"
Just the thought of Eloise turning towards Hector made him greatly uncomfortable.
Hector broke his fingers one by one, smoothing out the marks that had been yanked out, and said dismissively, "You seem to be asking the wrong person, you'd be better off asking the one next to you." Rowson frowned, "What do you mean?"
Hector took a step back, his expression cooling a little as he said, "Nothing, I'm just telling you that if you can't take care of Eloise, you'll give her back to me! Don't let any of the other people around you get close to her!" "You're dreaming!" Rowson said angrily.
Hector had always been a thorn in his side, and he worried every day that he would take Eloise away from him.
Now, this man was telling him straight out that he should give Eloise back to him, what a thought!
The corners of Hector's mouth were held in a grim scowl.
But Rowson was no fool and could tell that this was not Hector's doing.
Adeline had always been a cunning man and would not appear for no reason.
The two men, equally tall and distinguished, stared at each other for several seconds before Rowson finally turned to the woman who was standing next to him with a stern look on her face and asked in a cold voice, "What's going on?" Adeline's eyes were slightly red, the corners of her mouth turned up and she cried, "Brother Rowson, you don't blame me, it was Eloise who combined this, this ..."
She dared not say Hector's name and stammered.
Seeing her like this, Rowson knew there was something to it and snapped, "Tell the truth!"
Adeline was startled, tears welling up in her eyes; she had never seen such a fierce Rowson.
"I, I, I'm talking all the talk, it's them, they're bullying, I just came to see her ..."
Although she now looked charmingly pitiful, Rowson would not just believe it.
There was a strange expression on his face, and he said with a smile, "You came to see her? Why would you want to see her?"
Adeline's eyes dodged and she stammered, "Just... I met her once before, and when I heard she was injured, I ..."
Without waiting for her to finish, Rowson interrupted her.
"Tell me the truth, how exactly did Eloise's body get cracked?"
Adeline froze straight away and said numbly, "She, she hit herself on the bed and then, then ..."
Unfortunately, Rowson no longer believed her and said coldly, "Get out!"
"Mr. Rowson..."
Adeline looked at him in disbelief.
It was the first time Rowson would say such harsh words to her.
Previously he had always been civil and gentle, even when rejecting her advances.
How was it that now, after meeting Eloise, he was like this?
"Fuck off, I'm not going to repeat myself a second time."
Rowson said with a smile on the corner of his mouth, inexplicably a little harsh.
Adeline shuddered and lowered her head, a flash of resignation in her eyes.
She tried to plead, but Rowson didn't even look at him and had walked over to the door.
Staring quietly at the door panel, his erect figure was like a javelin.
Adeline was unconvinced, but there was nothing she could do about it; Rowson, in his rage, looked like a hard man to talk to.
She was also frightened by Hector's presence and the pressure he exerted on her.
In the end she had to leave, stumbling and staggering, her back in a state of disarray.
It was a stark contrast to the arrogance with which she had arrived.
Adeline's eyes were filled with hatred.
Last time it was because Hector had saved her, and this time it was still.
But next time she wouldn't be so lucky.
Adeline glanced viciously at the ward's location before stomping away on her high heels.
