Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 722: Make use of some
That evening, Rowson had a thermos in his hand and intended to come and visit Eloise.
Inside was a lotus root and rib soup that he had been learning from his nanny all day, and it was the most successful he had ever made. Arriving at the ward, he was all but oblivious to the female nurse who was hiding in the shadows watching all this.
When I pushed the door in, I saw an empty hospital bed and no sign of Eloise.
He waited for some time, but Eloise did not return.
A flash of foreboding surfaced in his mind, but soon, he calmed down.
Ran to the hospital's surveillance room and got the staff to pull up the CCTV footage of the entrance to Eloise's ward.
Rowson bent over, hands on the surveillance table, eyes intently watching the security footage.
It was only when the white figure emerged from the ward that his heart hung in complete suspense.
Did she sneak out while she was away?
His suspicions were soon confirmed, and he didn't think that Eloise would even give him a call to let him know where she was going. Dropping her eyes, she hid all her sorrow.
It was only when a sickly-looking Eloise exited the hospital gates on the CCTV footage that Rowson straightened up, said a polite thank you and left. He walked into the lift in a trance, not even noticing the nurse who had been following him.
The nurse followed him back to the long-empty ward and stood outside the glass on the door of the ward to observe what was going on inside.
The corners of her mouth lifted at the sight of the lost soul's back as her eyes were grim and frightening.
The eyes watched as the man sat lost in thought on the hospital bed.
Rowson didn't realize that he had been so good to Eloise, but she still didn't have a piece of him in her heart.
For the past three years, he has shown his heart in front of her at all times.
And she doesn't know if she's playing dumb or really dumb, she's indifferent to his confession, is Hector really that good?
Is it that good in her mind?
He prided himself on not being the most capable person, but at least he was good enough for her.
Besides, he was the one who had saved her life.
Even if she didn't like him and didn't have him in her heart at this point, he didn't mind taking his time to develop his feelings and he was able to give her enough time. But... he lost at the starting line to the end.
His eyes were glued to the hospital bed as if there was a person lying on it.
The smoke from the cigarette at his fingertips curls up, and every now and then he takes a hard puff, and then, exhales.
As her back was to the nurse, she did not get a good look at Rowson's expression at this point.
But you can guess by that glimpse of his back that he must be in a bad mood at the moment.
Rowson glanced faintly at the thermos on the table, a self-deprecating curve pulling at the corners of his mouth.
Pulling out his phone, his fingertips quickly pressed a series of numbers on it.
Moving so quickly, I'm sure that string of numbers must have been engraved in his mind.
After a long moment of hesitation, he pressed the answer button.
The phone on the other side rang and Hector's deep eyes glanced at the phone whose screen was lighting up on the bedside table; it was Eloise's.
Without even thinking, he picked up the phone and pressed the answer button.
There is no note on this number, just a string of numbers.
Hector's good-looking eyebrows furrowed, and when he saw the other man hesitate to speak, he spoke in a deep voice, "Hello?"
Rowson, who was staying at the hospital, heard the voice on his mobile phone and his back tightened up.
Just as he thought, Eloise had sneaked out to replace him.
The back can't help but tense up even more, and the grip on the phone unconsciously increases.
After another long wait, and still no word from the other side, Hector was clearly impatient.
Just as he was about to hang up, Rowson's voice drifted over, "Where's Eloise? Did you abduct her?"
Two short sentences that hide a bit of heartache.
At the sound of his voice, Hector frowned.
He lightly hooked the corners of his mouth, a flash of disdain under his eyes, his tone full of sarcasm, "What? Twenty-four hour supervision? Don't think she has to give her body to you just because you saved her, I think she has her own free time.
There is absolutely no need to inform you of where you are going, and I thank you for saving her three years ago, but I hope you will understand that you are only her benefactor, not her guardian. There is absolutely no reason or entitlement to keep her prisoner to you, for she is my wife."
She is my wife.
Rowson felt a deep sting in the softest part of his left heart.
He didn't say anything and there was a busy tone on the other side.
The hand holding the phone dropped weakly and it slid to the floor, falling with a 'pop' sound.
In turn, his face sank and his eyes were all grim.
The fist smashed hard against the clean white wall, stinging blood staining it red.
Bright red blood ran down his palms, but he continued to smash, oblivious to the pain.
A shiver of violence flashed under his eyes and a low growl escaped his lips, "Hector! Only mine!!! No one will ever take her from me!"
It took almost ten minutes of madness before Rowson quieted down.
Seemingly done venting, Rowson's handsome face regained its blood faintly and he walked out of the ward with a sullen face.
When Rowson's strong back disappeared completely at the end of the corridor, the nurse in the shadows slowly stepped out. The corners of her mouth curved up in a grim and unfeeling manner.
A glance at the wretchedness of the ward and then at the end of the corridor.
She took out her phone, hovered her fingertips over the word "boss" and tapped it without hesitation.
The call was quickly answered, but the other party did not make a sound, and the nurse knew he was waiting for his report.
"Boss, it's true what Marian said, Rowson likes Eloise far more than we expected, the man could use some use."
Use that love he has for Eloise to get at Hector.
With those words, she shut her mouth and waited for her boss's orders.
"Very well."
The man across the table smiled, a simple statement but a powerful sense of oppression.
The female nurse stood still, listening to the man's words on the other end of the phone.
"This matter is in your hands, how to do it, I don't need to teach you, do I?"
"No need."
The nurse replied quickly, her voice cool and lifeless, as unfeeling and cold as the cold winter wind.
The man is in a noble and elegant office, lounging enjoyably in his office chair.
As he listened to the woman's report, he gradually curled his lips, a smile that was nonetheless so ghastly that it made Eloise shiver.
His voice, cold to the core, carried an extreme sense of oppression and intimidation, "If that woman can really influence Hector, toss me to death, and when the time comes, you won't be missing half of what you want, naturally." When the man finished, his deep eyes were fixed on the computer screen.
It was a document sent to him by his assistant, and his long fingers kept tapping on the keyboard.
"Do what I just said, and see what happens, don't make any mistakes, and report anything immediately." The man's voice was as cold as Hades in hell. "Understood."
The woman smiled, just a chilling smile.
