Love Comes To Me
Chapter 727: Plunging into the Abyss

Passers-by all around kept moving in the direction of the two men, occasionally pointing.

Rowson simply ignored the accusations of those around him and tugged a few degrees harder on Katerina's lapels.

Katerina, however, was undaunted, her eyes bland as she looked at the storming Rowson.

The more emotional he gets the better it is for her, after all sometimes love is a sharp sword.

"Rowson, you think just because you're a doctor you can dispense an antidote? I don't think you're at the top of your medical game. How can you develop an antidote when you don't even have a sample? Besides, I injected it in with the anti- inflammatory drug, which is supposed to be colourless and odourless.

Even if you took her for a check-up you wouldn't replace anything, and you don't even know what that drug consists of, so ... you'll just have to work with me, it's the only way to make sure Eloise isn't in the slightest danger." Rowson shrugged off Katerina as the woman stumbled back a few steps, hiding her disdain in her eyes.

She did not say anything, but waited for Rowson.

"You went to all this trouble just to get me to cooperate with you? How much do you and Hector hate each other?" Rowson was still very confused; after all, she didn't seem like she should have anything to do with Hector. Katerina smiled and did not reply.

Instead, he continued what he had just left off saying, "The drug injected in is ... not fatal, but the attack can make a person experience a feeling worse than death, as long as Miss Eloise is given her medication regularly there is no harm done, I think... ..."

She ruffled her hair and lifted her eyes, hiding all the teasing from her eyes, then spoke, "Mr. Rowson must not want to see Miss Eloise in pain."

At the words, Rowson's fists clenched involuntarily.

It seems that the woman in front of him had come prepared to make such a big circle just to get him to accept their partnership.

But what he was angry about was the fact that the girl he had protected so well had been drugged right under his nose!

Rowson fought back the rage in his heart and asked the woman in front of him with the last vestiges of sanity left, "You're threatening me, eh?" He pressed angrily, "Where is the antidote?"

Without speaking, Katerina just stood in front of him, her eyes indifferent as she looked at the anxious man in front of her.

Now that the situation has been reversed, it's not as if she begged Rowson to collaborate.

And Rowson, too, was about to take the bait.

After asking many times, I did not get an answer after all.

Rowson shouted at her, "Are you deaf? I asked you a question! Give me the antidote!"

"No."

Katerina spoke with a calm face, "This was prepared by the professor, you'll have to join us if you want the antidote."

Seeing Rowson's attitude just now, her tone was not as sincere as it had been earlier, but rather a little playful.

At the sound of his voice, Rowson's grip on his fist increased a few notches, and the gaze beneath his eyes intensified, wanting to tear the woman in front of him to pieces right now. In the next second, he did give into action.

Before Katerina could react, she yanked her wrist directly.

"What are you doing?" Katerina asked nervously as she was suddenly grabbed.

She struggled several times, but without success; in the end it was a disparity of power between men and women.

Rowson simply ignored Katerina's struggles and questions and quickly dragged her to the alleyway behind the hospital before stopping and vigorously flinging Katerina out.

But Katerina is also trained, and with a few rolls she steadies herself, her eyes sharply fixed on Rowson.

The two men's eyes met in the air, both with a monstrous anger.

Rowson's mind wandered back to what Katerina had just said, his face grim and dreadful, his hands hanging open at his sides and clenching into fists.

Katerina kept an eye on Rowson's every move and when she saw his fist strike, she quickly ducked her head sideways.

The wind brought up by the extreme speed lifted a few strands of her hair.

Rowson's wrist is held in a raised hand and a straddle catch is made.

Rowson flipped over her, rolled on the floor and immediately crouched up again to overcome the dizziness he had just experienced from the spin.

The next second, straight up, he squeezed Katerina's wrist, eyes red, and moved into Katerina's ear, saying threateningly, "Your professor has the antidote and you'll go get it from him, or else your hand is ruined." At these words, Katerina hooked up an impish arc.

"Is that so?"

Raising a tail note.

Then she leaned back and Rowson's pupils snapped.

He didn't expect Katerina to be so physically strong and handy for a woman.

The mind has to be impressed.

For several rounds, both men were tied.

It was probably also clear what the other side was capable of.

Although Katerina does not have the upper hand in terms of power, she is much more agile than Rowson.

Because of the fight, both men's chests were constantly heaving violently, gasping for air.

After a couple of minutes, Katerina relaxed her guard and walked towards Rowson with a smile.

"Why are we wasting our energy fighting like this? You just have to cooperate with me properly and I promise I won't make Eloise suffer a bit. If you insist on not cooperating with us... then there's nothing I can do about it." She shook her head and then turned to leave.

Rowson stood still, his eyes cold as he looked at the departing Katerina.

With his left hand over his chest, which had just been injured in the fight, Rowson waited for Katerina to disappear completely around the corner before stepping away.

She and Marian are both people who will do anything for profit, and such a woman is just too dangerous.

If you work with them, you are bound to be on your guard.

Otherwise, you'll be in deep shit.

Driving back home, Rowson sat fuming in the living room.

There are now two ways before him, one is to draw Eloise's blood himself and configure the antidote by comparing it to the blood of a normal person. The second one is a collaboration with Katerina.

The risk is high on both routes because who knows how long the incubation period of that germ is and how much damage it can do to a person.

Even working with Katerina, the antidote obtained would only solve the pain for a while and would not completely eliminate the germs in Eloise's blood. Besides, he didn't believe that Katerina would be kind enough to give him the full antidote.

He clutched his head in fury, his eyes slightly narrowed.

He looked up again, his features expressionless, his deep eyes staring ahead, as if in a daze and as if in thought.

Suddenly he got up and ran straight downstairs on long legs.

He can try to go both ways, and if the first one doesn't work, he can go the second one.

After all, he is also a doctor and doesn't believe that anything can be difficult for him yet.

Get in the car, start it up and drive away.

In order to get to the hospital quickly, he increased the speed of the car to the maximum and ran an unknown number of red lights along the way.
