Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 728: I can only do my best
When he arrived at the hospital, he did not go to the ward, but went straight to the attending doctor's office.
Without beating around the bush, he stepped straight into the subject and said, "Doctor, Eloise has been in the hospital for a while now too. I'd like to do a blood test on her to replace out how she's doing today, and as I'm also a doctor, there's something else we can discuss together. I don't know if it's convenient now?"
The attending doctor nodded; Rowson's reputation in the medical profession was one she had known.
Then they went out to get the things they needed to draw blood and took Rowson to Eloise's ward.
At this moment Eloise is lying on her bed, looking out of the window at the big trees with a bemused look.
It's like an emotionless doll just staring out of the window in silence.
Sweety was no longer in the ward, probably picked up by Hector, Rowson thought to himself.
He then sat down in the chair next to the bed and nodded to the doctor, signalling that she was ready to begin.
"Miss Eloise, we need to take your blood for a test."
The attending doctor said as he took out the syringe.
Eloise nodded and didn't ask any extra questions, as if she was used to it.
Stretching out his white arm, which already had numerous pinholes.
Proof of her experiences these days.
Eloise frowned and drew a cold breath backwards as the needle pierced a vein.
It was good that the attending doctor was quick, so she had less time to suffer.
Looking at Eloise, who was enduring the pain, Rowson's heart hung in the air.
After the blood was drawn, the attending doctor left first.
Rowson stood up and walked over to Eloise's bedside and sat down, tucking her in and speaking softly, "Do you want me to stay with you for a while?"
Eloise couldn't help but feel a little uncomfortable when she met Rowson's affectionate eyes.
She shook her head to show that she was fine, and then, as if she didn't think that was right, she said, "You go about your business and don't spend your time on me. I'm fine now, it's not a serious illness and I should be out of hospital in a few days."
At these words, Rowson lowered his eyes, a flash of loss underneath them, but it was short-lived.
"Then since there's nothing else I'll go back, remember to let me know if you need anything and don't think too much about it, I like to be bothered by you." With that said, Rowson intends to leave.
When he reached the door, he turned around again and spoke, "I'll have the nanny bring some porridge over tonight, and you take care of yourself in the hospital." "Hmm."
Eloise answered and turned her head to look out of the window, resuming the scene she had just been in when Rowson hadn't entered the ward. Watching her lack of reaction to her departure and arrival, Rowson left with a sigh.
He then went to the attending doctor's office and spoke with a blank face, "Please give me the blood you just drew."
The attending doctor was stunned, but then responded that Rowson was also a doctor and must be taking the blood back to examine it himself. This is good, it saves them steps on their side.
"It's a good thing I didn't take the blood to the lab just now, just wait I'm going to get it for you."
With that, the doctor put the vial of blood in a small bag and handed it to Rowson, who was sitting in front of him.
"Thanks."
After saying thank you, Rowson left straight away.
He went straight to the lab, where Florent was working on something, and Rowson walked up with the bag.
"Teacher, this is Eloise's blood, please help me to test the contents of this blood."
His tone took on a slightly strained tone and Florent pushed the bridge of his nose out of his eyes and glanced at Rowson in surprise.
"Why are you thinking of checking yourself out? Isn't she still in the hospital?"
Faced with Florent's query, Rowson didn't have the heart to answer it just yet, and simply urged, "There's something else going on here, so please check it out first, please." Seeing this Florent did not press the issue any further, took the bag and went into the laboratory.
The minutes ticked by and Rowson waited a little anxiously.
Could it be some serious germ?
With that thought in mind, Rowson kept pacing the ground.
From time to time, he looked in, but there was still little response.
About an hour passed before Florent came out of it.
He looked at Rowson incredulously and questioned, "Where did you get this blood from?"
Rowson told them all he knew, a flash of concern crossing his eyes, "It was on Eloise, but she was poisoned.
But I don't know exactly what the toxin is, it's said to be life-threatening whenever it flares up, has the teacher seen something already?"
Florent shook his head; it seemed a waste to ask Rowson.
He had to turn around and go back into the laboratory, all the more reason to be more careful since it was Eloise's blood.
He knew how important this woman was to Rowson.
Seeing this, Rowson made no more noise.
Within moments the door to the laboratory opened again and Florent removed his glasses and sat down next to Rowson, explaining word for word, "As you can see, the blood is mixed with some cell-damaging germs and is not life- threatening in the short term. It's still asleep, but in time it could well destroy Eloise's life."
Destroying lives...
At the sound of his voice, Rowson, who was standing aside, grimaced and the air pressure around him dropped several notches.
As expected, Katerina is not a good person either, claiming that there is no safety of life, but unexpectedly it is an excuse made up to coax him into cooperating with them.
Rowson's fists clenched even tighter at the thought.
However, the most important thing now is not to settle the score with Katerina, but to replace a way to dispense the antidote.
He grimaced, pressed down his anger and asked in a sincere manner, "Then, teacher, can you replace out what the germ is? I desperately need the antidote to save Eloise."
Rowson may be an excellent doctor, but he has not learnt half as much as the professor in front of him, so he will not be of much help to Eloise's condition.
It was at this point that he felt that his own making in the medical arts was still not worth mentioning.
The only thing you can do when you need it is to have an empty stomach.
Florent frowned and looked grave, "The germ is very rare and the composition is very complex, I can only try as best I can."
Although the professor does not look old, his voice is pale in this moment, a kind of helplessness towards himself.
Rowson grew increasingly alarmed but nodded in response, "I trust you teacher, just a little clue would be good, it would mean there is a glimmer of hope that Eloise must still be saved." Looking at Rowson's infatuation, Florent bristled.
What an infatuated man.
