Love Comes To Me
Chapter 729: I just want to treat you well

Rowson stayed in the lab all night that night, before returning home early the next morning.

Sitting on the sofa with his eyes closed, he was also getting bored.

He doesn't know how to face Eloise now, after all, it was his negligence that gave Katerina the opportunity to strike.

Rubbing his inflamed temples, he suddenly remembered a few dishes he had learned from his nanny two days ago and planned to make some food as compensation. Rowson. got up and went straight to the kitchen, thinking that I should make some porridge for breakfast, so I washed the rice and put it into a pot to simmer. Then a few more small dishes were made.

It was eight o'clock in the morning when everything was done, and Rowson packed the meal into a thermos and headed out the door.

When I came to Eloise's room, I saw her with her head down, swiping at her mobile phone, her hair spread softly over her shoulders, presumably just waking up. Without making a sound, he tiptoed inside.

Carefully, the porridge is served in a bowl, though the crisp sound of the ceramic clinking disturbs Eloise, who is swiping down on her phone.

She turned her eyes to see a figure in the ward and her body shuddered to get a better look before she spoke softly, "Rowson, when did you get here?"

Rowson continued the action in his hands and responded in a light tone, "Only just got here a while ago too."

All the dishes were laid out on the table before Rowson turned to her and said, "The meal is ready, so come and eat."

Eloise glanced at the bowl with the porridge, which was still steaming, and the two plates of appetizers, which looked quite good for sale.

She swallowed and opened up straight away.

After the meal, Eloise rubbed her already full stomach and uttered a compliment, "You're a good cook hey, it tastes good."

Rowson smiled at that, "As long as you like it."

Pack your things away immediately afterwards.

For days on end, Rowson brought food to the hospital for Eloise in different ways.

And the dishes are different each time, but they are all suitable for wellness.

Over time Eloise picked up on it and, seeing Rowson clearing away the dishes, she suddenly spoke up, "Is something on your mind?" Eloise felt that something was not quite right with Rowson today.

Rowson was too preoccupied with collecting his things to hear what Eloise said, and inclined his head to look at her with a hint of enquiry. "Hmm?"

"Nothing."

Eloise dropped her head and absentmindedly played with her fingers.

Rowson didn't leave right away after everything was done, but sat with Eloise.

Despite the presence of two people, the ward remained very silent.

Rowson didn't know how to say anything, and just looked at her little face in silence.

Feeling someone's heated gaze, Eloise paused slightly and raised her eyes just enough to meet Rowson's.

The two men stared at each other for three seconds before Eloise hung her head once more.

Thinking of what to say, he smiled and asked, "Why have you suddenly started learning how to cook?"

Rowson, while being kind to himself, has never been as meticulous as he has been these past few days.

Every meal was brought to him personally and he had a change he couldn't tell you.

Rowson's brow quivered slightly and his palms rubbed against each other helplessly, unsure of how to answer the question.

After a long time of trying to come up with a suitable reason, the ward went quiet again.

Seeing Rowson's hesitation to speak, Eloise didn't know what to say.

But the next moment Rowson spoke up.

His tone was light and his voice a little husky, "I just want to be good to you, nothing more."

To make up for the guilt and hurt I have caused you.

This one, however, he left unsaid.

Eloise's face is not very healthy at the moment, but even her pallor does not hide her picturesque eyebrows.

At Rowson's answer, Eloise's eyelashes fluttered slightly and she nodded her head in disbelief.

Thinking that it would be boring for the two of us to stay together, Eloise found a random topic and asked, "What have you been up to all this time?" "Busy developing a medicine."

Rowson did not specify what the medicine was.

Eloise responded, and then there was just a bit of small talk.

After about half an hour, Rowson glanced at his wrist watch, looked up and whispered, "I've got work to do at the Institute, so I'll leave you to it." With those words, he got up and carried the thermos away.

After a few days, Eloise felt much more refreshed than before.

The inflammation was almost healed, so I planned to talk to Rowson when he came over again.

On this day, Eloise was wandering down the corridor when she came across Rowson, who had come to deliver her meal.

The two then went back to the ward together.

Before Rowson could say anything, Eloise opened the door and said, "I think I'm almost well enough, nothing more."

Staying in the hospital for long periods of time always made her feel like she smelled like disinfectant.

At that Rowson froze and quickly nodded again, "Since you want to get out of the hospital I'll go through it when you're done eating."

Eloise thought Rowson was going to say something to stop it, but he agreed so easily.

After the meal, Rowson discharged Eloise from the hospital.

He walked ahead with his luggage and Eloise followed him, always keeping a small distance.

Coming to the side of the car, Eloise sat in the back seat.

Rowson, who had intended to help Eloise drive the passenger side, hung his hand in mid-air in embarrassment.

Eloise did not notice and just looked out of the window.

It was sunset when they arrived at the villa and Rowson got out of the car to get the luggage out and opened the door for Eloise.

Eloise paused, then walked off as if nothing had happened.

In the living room, the family was eating and when they saw Rowson and Eloise, Mr. Darlington Sr. said with a smile on his face, "Come and eat." Eloise answered and quickened her pace, sitting next to Mrs Darlington.

However, Mrs Darlington got up a step ahead of her and Rowson happened to be sitting right where Mrs Darlington had just been.

Seeing this, Eloise had no choice but to sit down and eat the food in her bowl carefully.

During this time Mrs Darlington kept interrogating Eloise about her health and shushing her in various ways.

Eloise was overwhelmed when Mr. Darlington Sr. came to her rescue.

"Well stop asking questions, Eloise has just got home, better go and have a shower and relax, we'll talk about what's going on later." Eloise gave Mr. Darlington Sr a grateful look and went straight upstairs.

"I want to do an internship with the company."

Rowson's voice was not too loud, but loud enough for Mr. Darlington Sr to hear.
