Chapter 739: Is it sick

Eloise is not very happy with the way this matter has been handled, but she knows that Rowson is not to blame.

He is the decision maker of the company and is expected to think about the company.

Thinking, Eloise shook her head and replied, "I don't blame you, I know there's nothing you can do about it, besides you're not at fault for looking out for the company in the first place." At these words, Eloise clearly did not blame him, but as Rowson listened, he could not help but feel some bitterness in his heart, and for a moment he could not speak.

Despite what she says, she must not be happy inside.

She was not wanting this outcome.

But now that the big picture is set, it is not something he alone can change.

"Tomorrow is the weekend, do you want to take Sweety out for a walk? Take a break too by the way, it's just as well that you've been tired these days and could do with some rest." With that said, Rowson looked at Eloise expectantly.

I wanted to take the opportunity to get closer to Eloise over the weekend, and I didn't want to see her so depressed.

It had also been a long time since the two of them had spoken together because of their work commitments.

He now wondered what Eloise was thinking and wanted to get a good idea of it too.

Eloise listened to Rowson's words with a wink and a wink, not taking it all in.

There was some hesitation in my mind when I heard Sweety.

However, for her right now, she's really not in the mood to go out at all.

After thinking about it, he refused, "Forget it, I've been too tired lately and I want to get some rest."

All that was on his mind was the termination of the partnership with Hector, and the bitterness in his eyes went straight to the bottom of his heart.

When Rowson froze and didn't say anything, Eloise didn't know what to say and could only speak, "Get some rest, you've been tired for a while." With that, she walked upstairs without looking back.

Looking at Eloise's figure, a slight sense of helplessness and bitterness surfaced in Rowson's mind.

He was tempted to go over and talk to her, but the way she was now, she didn't really want to have much contact with herself, I think.

He sighed softly and shook his head; it seemed that it would have to wait for some time.

The inky eyes are deep and unseeing, forlorn and expectant at the same time.

He knew it was a slim expectation, but even so, he was willing to take a gamble and put up a fight.

At least it doesn't fail to live up to its own heart, without too many regrets.

But really, Rowson doesn't regret her choice, even though it would have upset her.

It's not that he actually cares about profit or loss on the project, he just doesn't want Eloise to have too much contact with Hector.

Walking upstairs and seeing the closed door to her room, Rowson's raised hand dropped again.

Two people each with something on their mind.

Eloise went back to her room, took a shower and lay down on her bed, not wanting to move even a finger.

Looking up at the ceiling, her mood irritable, the guilt inside her intensified as she thought about Hector's reaction today.

A sleepless night, in a trance as if I had fallen asleep, and as if I had not.

The next morning, the faintest of sunlight poured in through a gap in the curtains and Eloise squinted and opened her eyes, two bruises beneath them. After washing up, Eloise changed her clothes and went downstairs.

Mrs Darlington looked at Eloise in poor spirits and asked with concern, "Eloise, what's the matter, haven't you rested well? I see you don't look well." Seeing the worry in Mrs Darlington's eyes, Eloise smiled and said, "I'm fine, I'm just a bit tired, you don't have to worry."

She tried to look a little more relaxed and didn't want Mrs Darlington to think too much about it.

"Eloise, don't let your work spoil you, you're the daughter-in-law of our Darlington family, you don't need to work so hard, plus now Rowson has gone to the office. Just leave some things to their men, you'd better rest more at home." The conversation between the two attracted Rowson and his mind tensed when he heard his mother ask if Eloise was unwell in any way.

It was about the same time as Katerina had said before, and Rowson said straight away, "Is it sick? I'll walk you to the hospital to get checked out, couldn't care less about your health."

With those words, Rowson began to pack his things, intending to take her to the hospital.

Eloise is still aware of her body and now looks unrefreshed, probably because she didn't sleep well last night.

She didn't want to put the family on edge because of herself.

She took Rowson's arm and said helplessly, "I'm really fine, you don't have to worry too much, it's the weekend but there should still be some things you need to take care of at the office, so go on." With that Eloise pushed Rowson out the door.

Seeing her like this, Rowson couldn't say anything more.

Before he left the house, he said, "Eloise, if you don't feel well, tell me, don't push yourself, just rest at home today and don't go to the office."

"Good, then you don't get too tired."

At these words, Rowson was relieved to leave.

Before leaving, Rowson gave another explanation to the family's housekeeper.

Eloise hadn't looked right all morning, and although no one else knew what it was about, Rowson did.

It seemed necessary to make a trip to Katerina myself.

After leaving the house, Rowson did not go to the office and went straight to the hospital.

Katerina was not surprised to see Rowson coming to see her, minding her own business at hand.

Occasionally, he looks soberly at the man in front of him and waits for him to speak.

Rowson certainly didn't look good when he saw her, and his voice was bitter, "What exactly are you hiding about that germ? What effect could it have had on Eloise?" Katerina gave him a look, and the movements of her hands did not stop.

"Don't be so impatient, the germs won't do her much harm, at most her body's resistance will be reduced, I just want to make sure you don't leave half way through."
