Love Comes To Me
Chapter 744: Artificial Injection

The little girl was crying her eyes out, but when she heard that, her voice stopped for a moment and she looked at Hector half-heartedly.

Blinking her big watery eyes, the little girl was restless.

"Really? Mummy will be awake soon?"

Seeing the distrust in the little girl's eyes, Hector took out a piece of paper, wiped her nose and said to her in a lowered voice, "Of course it's true. When has Daddy ever lied to you?"

The little girl thought for a moment and then shook her head firmly, "Daddy didn't lie to Sweety."

With that, Hector smiled and touched his little girl's forehead, saying softly, "So Sweety can go with Uncle Thomas to pick up her brother from hobby class first? When you get back, maybe Mummy will be awake." The little girl sniffled her red, flushed nose and responded in a milky voice, "Yes."

Only when she agreed did Hector nod his head in satisfaction.

"Thomas, take Sweety to Solomon."

Before leaving, the little girl looked at them with reluctance.

It was Hector who pacified him for a while longer before he would follow Thomas.

Once the two men had left, the ward fell silent for a moment.

Hector sat at the bedside and looked at Eloise.

Her complexion was already pale, and when she was ill, it was even paler and slightly transparent in the afternoon sunlight.

Because of the fever, a few veins can be vaguely seen.

She had a towel on her forehead, her brow furrowed and a cold sweat pouring out.

A syringe was inserted into the back of the hand and a clear liquid slowly flowed in along the green veins.

Hector stared at her for an instant, removing the towel from her head and replacing the water every few moments.

Then apply it back to her forehead without fail.

I don't know how many times this action has been repeated, but Hector has the patience to do it.

Time passes by in a blur of fingers.

On the other side the little girl's restlessness after meeting Solomon finally had someone to share it with.

Souring her nose, she flung herself into Solomon's arms.

Tell Solomon about the events of the day.

"Brother, although Daddy said that Mummy would wake up soon, last time, Grandma and Mummy were like this and slept in the hospital for a long, long time, what will we do if Mummy doesn't wake up ... Sweety is scared." Sweety said with tears smashing down her face.

Looking at Sweety crying, Solomon's heart was also anxious.

But as an older brother, he couldn't panic again and could only force himself to calmly reassure her, "If daddy says it's okay, it means it's okay, we have to trust daddy, don't panic yet, brother will take you to the hospital to see mummy now." With those words, Solomon urged Thomas, "Uncle Thomas, let's get to the hospital."

Thomas answered, and the three of them hurried back to the hospital in a frenzy.

Once inside the ward, the little girl and Solomon crowded to the bed and carefully guarded Eloise's sides, asking Hector with a frown, "Daddy, how's Mummy?"

"Not awake yet, but don't worry."

Hector couldn't help but frown, however, when he caught a glimpse of Eloise's face.

When I felt Eloise's forehead, I found that instead of cooling down, it was getting hotter and hotter.

It was immediately realised that something was wrong.

"Thomas, how long will it take you to get back and forth?"

Thomas looked at his watch, "It's taken about forty minutes to get there and back."

Hector's heart immediately stuttered.

He got up abruptly and was ready to go and get a doctor to come and have a look.

Just as he exited the doorway, he came face to face with the doctor who was about to enter, with a report in his hand.

Hector sidled up and hurriedly let the doctor in.

The doctor took Eloise's temperature first and his brow knitted for a moment.

After another brief examination, the doctor murmured, "Sure enough." "Surely what?"

Hector asked eagerly, vaguely sensing that something was not right.

The doctor glanced around the room at the two children who were also looking at him, and with a solemn expression, he said to Hector, "Would you mind taking a moment?" Hector nodded, turned back to Thomas and told him to keep an eye on the two little ones and followed the doctor out.

His heart lifted, his eyelashes fluttered slightly, and his heart was troubled.

The two walked to the doctor's office and Hector pressed on, frowning and inquiring, "Doctor, why hasn't her fever gone down?"

The doctor sniffed and sighed, "That's what I wanted to tell you, we just did a blood test on your wife just in case. Now something is found to be wrong, she shouldn't have a common cold." "What do you mean?"

At the doctor's words, Hector's expression changed abruptly and his eyes snapped into a glare, "Didn't you just say she was fine?"

Hector's sudden aura was so appalling that the doctor wiped away a cold sweat and continued, "Just take it easy and hear me out.

Your wife's fever this time was caused by a bacteria in her body that was built to resemble the symptoms of an unusual viral cold, which is why it went undiagnosed."

Hector listened to this explanation with increasing confusion, a heart that kept sinking lower and lower.

He frowned at the doctor, catching the gist of it by feel, and asked in a hushed voice, "What bacteria? Why does she have it in her system?"

"According to our preliminary judgment, this bacteria is a germ that is very harmful to the human body and destroys the body's immune system. But this bacterium is not something that the human body can freely breed, so it is likely to have been artificially injected in."

Hector's face turned extremely grim as he listened on the sidelines straight away.

Bacteria? Intravenous injection?

The words strangled his throat so raw that they nearly took his breath away.

A deep layer of fear hangs over the heart.

All he could feel was a chill running down his back.

"Artificial injections? Could it be a wrong guess, Eloise shouldn't let just anyone get close to her."

Eloise would have been aware of the injection if it had been done artificially.

"This is conjecture but there is a medical basis for it, this bacteria does not normally breed in the body unless it is injected in by special means to wreak havoc on the body system, to use an analogy, like ..."

What the doctor was saying in the background was completely lost on Hector.

The head suddenly went blank and the ears buzzed and chirped.

For a moment, it was as if the blood had flowed backwards, and it struck fear into his heart.

"Sir? Are you still listening?"

Seeing Hector lost in thought, the doctor couldn't help but raise his volume.

Hector narrowed his eyes, his fingertips whitened and his throat rolled slightly as he asked the doctor urgently, "So, what exactly is the cause of this bacteria, and have there been any cases of it in this country? Does your hospital know how to get it out of her system, and is there any danger other than destroying the immune system?"

He asked a series of questions out of excessive worry.
