Love Comes To Me
Chapter 765: None of it ends well

Hall watched her eat with a very contented look on his face and would occasionally hand her a napkin or something, very attentive. "Okay, I'm done eating, you can go now."

Marian put down his fork when he finished eating and looked straight at Hall.

"Good." Hall, though reluctant, kept his word and stood up to leave.

Watching him leave, Marian sighed in relief and left after him.

Get into a car at the door and the expensive limousine leaves in a huff.

Hall and Marian parted ways and didn't go anywhere but straight back to the place where they had been staying for the past two days. After he had said "behave", the test must have been opened.

In order to get through, it is better for him to be at peace in the meantime.

Opening the door and inadvertently scanning the room, Hall paused slightly on his feet, immediately noticing that something was wrong. On the way out, the curtains, which he had left deliberately a crack instead of drawing them completely together, were now closed tightly. Hall's heart lifted as his eyes swept inch by inch over everything in the room.

Then he jerked open the door, turned and went downstairs, the thud of his footsteps indicating the urgency he now felt.

Running to the car park, Hall checked the car out of anxiety and out of a habit of caution over the years.

After confirming that there was no problem, he got into the car, stepped on the accelerator and the car drove off like an arrow off the string.

Hall kept looking behind him through the rear view mirror, but behind him was empty, everything was as it should be, and there was no one in pursuit. Could he have been mistaken?

Impossible, he was used to going out and leaving something seemingly inconspicuous that could be spotted immediately if it was moved.

This approach has been tried and tested and he has escaped many a perilous situation as a result.

Hall had learned the hard way when he was working for Hector, so when he first arrived in Italy, he habitually found himself three places to stay. The car drove for about half an hour to a rather outdated neighbourhood.

Hall parked his car and walked towards his accommodation when a harsh wind sounded approaching behind him.

Years of intuition caused Hall to jerk sideways.

The movement allowed him to duck a little, but was followed closely by a second fist that came straight towards the cheekbone.

Hall caught a glimpse of a tall black figure at the other end, coming up to him, and cried out inwardly.

He was still too careless and fell prey to others.

He couldn't even deal with these two, plus one more, would he die here today?

The man approached with a cold face, carrying a strong aura of fury.

Hall froze violently at the sight of the face.

"Gladish?!" He shouted out of breath.

In the Dark Guards, people don't know each other very well, but they do know each other.

This man, dressed in black and physically fit, is one of the Dark Guard, called Gladish.

Hall's mind raced, incredulous, "Why?"

The fact that Gladish is here means that Hector wants him dead.

But didn't he leave him alone?

"Why? You should ask yourself, no one who betrays a prince comes to a good end!"

Gladish's clipped lips spit out cruel words.

Hall's heart surged with great bewilderment at the words, "But the prince has promised to let me go?"

Gladish looked at him with a smirk and a look that was like a wink.

Hall's eyes widened as he suddenly understood what was going on.

In this moment, it was like something inside, shattered.

It was this moment of dumbfoundedness that greeted Hall with a few punches to the body.

A strong desire to survive made Hall fight back with all his might.

He had little strength in his right hand and his swing was not threatening at all.

The men saw his weakness and attacked him hard in the upper part of his body.

Hall received two stabs to the body, which were not fatal, but the blood kept flowing down the body in a steady stream.

Soon, he couldn't hold back, and a blackness came over him.

After a stumble, Hall was kicked into the wall by the man who came after him, and his body slid down slowly against the wall helplessly. He struggled hard to get up, but a pair of black leather shoes stepped heavily on the back of his hand.

Hall let out a grunt and his spine straightened as he slumped helplessly to the ground.

With his face pressed to the ground, an icy chill seeped into his heart.

Hall gasped for breath like a fish deprived of water.

Gladish admired Hall's wretched appearance from above, no pity in his eyes, only coldness and indifference.

With all his might, Hall shouted, "Gladish, Hector is an emotionless man, my today is your future, what do you have to be proud of." "And you dare to denigrate the prince."

Gladish ground down hard on the back of his hand and Hall was suddenly sweating with pain.

He is so plagued with this hand that everyone seems to be happy to torture him so much.

"You..." Hall's face was a horrible mess of blood mixed with sweat.

Seeing that he was defenceless, Gladish seemed to have lost interest in him as well.

Shifting his feet, he said lazily, "I'll leave you alive, so you're no threat to the prince."

When he had finished, he waved his hand and disappeared with his men as silently as he had come.

Hall took a hard breath, shuddered, pulled out his phone and called Marian, who was at the top of his address book.

Now, the only person he can ask for help is Marian.

As soon as Marian on the other end got through, she said reluctantly, "You don't have to contact me, just wait for me to contact you, you ..." "Marian, help me, I'm hurt..." Hall's voice was weak.

Marian was silenced, she could hear something wrong in Hall's voice, his breath was weak, his life seemed to be slowly fading away.

She settled down and said, "Where are you, I'll bring someone over now."

Ten minutes later, Marian arrived.

Marian didn't arrive too quickly and Hall held his breath for her to come.

When the man arrived, he passed out without saying a word.

Seeing this, Marian immediately directed someone to get him to the car and take him to the hospital for examination.

Halfway through, Hall woke up and the doctor rambled on while dressing his wounds.

Said he had a lot of wounds, well none of them were fatal, just lost a bit too much blood

Hall looked around and saw no sign of Marian, interrupting her to ask, "Where is the man who sent me here?"

The doctor froze and replied, "She's outside."

When the doctor finished bandaging, Hall couldn't wait to get out of bed to go to the others, but ended up pulling the wound and sucking in a painful breath. Marian pushed the door in and saw this scene, and couldn't help but frown and reprimand, "Don't you know how badly you've been hurt? Lie down and don't move." Hall did as he was told, without taking his eyes off Marian's face.
