Love Comes To Me
Chapter 767: Giving Hector a Taste

Hector, one hand clutched in play by Sweety, half his body leaning idly against the back of the chair, asked very diffidently, "What is it?" At that, Thomas wanted to growl, there was a whole lot of work to be done in the company, okay?

Still, he didn't dare say anything to complain when faced with Hector, so he picked out a few things that needed to be signed urgently. "It will be enough to send it over in the morning."

Hearing Hector sound so unconcerned, Thomas couldn't help but think that something bad had happened to the Rogers family.

As if guessing what Thomas was thinking, Hector said gently, "A few days out with Solomon and Sweety, so you'll have to keep an eye on the company." Eloise couldn't help but give Hector a look, so he had his moments of capriciousness.

Thomas over there didn't know what to say, all he could think of was the word "faint".

"It's okay to hang up."

Before Thomas could say anything, Hector simply hung up the phone.

Hector, nowadays, couldn't wait for the life of the dim-witted king to continue.

The lovely children and soft Eloise are naturally more pleasant to him than the boring paperwork and meetings he has to deal with day in and day out. On the other hand, Rowson's heart was full of vinegar and anger.

She had been absent from home day after day for the past few days, and he knew that she was out with Hector.

However, I can't argue with her now, so I have to run off and drink.

At the bar, Rowson poured a mouthful of liquor into his mouth and before he knew it, the table was empty of several bottles. Rowson, who was drinking alone in the light and dark bar, received a lot of attention.

He was handsome and uncommonly beautiful, and his face was obviously expressionless, but he was even more desirable. Many women jumped at the chance to try to get closer.

Only, whenever it came close, it was unceremoniously driven away by Rowson.

Reluctantly but helplessly, the crowd gradually dispersed.

After a few moments, a shadow falls overhead.

The strong smell of perfume filled the tip of his nose as Rowson, without looking up, threw out a cold word, "Get out!" Instead of being deterred, the visitor sat down beside him, took the glass he was holding and tilted his head and drank it down. Rowson looked up angrily, only to be met with Katerina's slightly sultry face.

He frowned, not really wanting to pay attention.

Katerina ruffled her hair in style, "Handsome, it's no fun to drink alone, I'll keep you company."

She personally filled up the glass she had just emptied and handed it to Rowson's mouth.

The side that was purposely stained with his own lipstick mark was aimed at Rowson's lips.

Rowson pushed her hand away in disgust and greeted the bartender with a new glass.

A look of loss crossed Katerina's eyes, then she withdrew her hand and took a shallow sip, smiling like a flower.

"Let me guess, you must have come here for a drink because you're having relationship problems with Eloise."

Rowson looked at her coldly and warned, "You'd better keep your nose out of my business."

Katerina shrugged, unconcerned, "I'm just trying to help, don't you want to take back your beloved?"

Rowson looked up at her.

Seeing this, Katerina's heart burst with glee; it was true that a man's mouth deceives the devil.

Raising an eyebrow, she took the cup in Rowson's hand in her hand and said, "I have a way to help you get the man back." Rowson asked with a lack of interest, "Oh, what's the solution, tell me."

"You give her this and she'll be at your mercy, guaranteed."

Said Katerina handing him a packet, smiling mysteriously.

Rowson lowered his eyes and looked at the thing, which didn't even have a package, thinking it couldn't be anything good. He is not exposed to this, but being in this class, it is inevitable that he will hear something similar.

Nasty, dirty.

Rowson doesn't give a damn.

He took it from Katerina's hand, didn't even look at it and threw it straight into the bin next to him.

Katerina's smile faded a little and her aura became serious.

Ignoring the change in her breath, Rowson lifted his eyes and spoke one word at a time.

"I never meant to force her, let alone such underhanded tactics... Don't mention such things in front of me in the future!"

Katerina laughed at his anger-filled look.

Fingers painted in bright red nail varnish hold the glass of wine and elegantly bring it to the lips for a sip.

"Mr. Rowson is a true gentleman, as rumoured."

Listening to Katerina, Rowson had become quite impatient and wanted to get up and leave.

He didn't want to make any deals with this woman when he wasn't sober.

However, Katerina knew how to take things as they came and duly said, "I respect you, but if you don't like it, I'll just have to give Hector a taste."

"What do you mean?" Rowson frowned.

Katerina smiled teasingly and climbed snake-like onto Rowson.

After he pushed him away, he didn't mind and said with a smile, "No point, just showing Eloise, the man she likes. A nice picture of rolling around with another woman, and guess what her reaction would be?" The flickering lights of the bar illuminate Katerina's gorgeous face in an eerie way.

Rowson froze.

"How about it, do you want me to help you?"

Katerina said propping her chin up with one hand and couldn't stop moving closer to Rowson.

Her eyes were full of charm and she looked at Rowson with affection and exhaled.

The scent of alcohol tingles Rowson's nerves and this time he doesn't hide, but gazes steadily at Katerina.

The two men stare at each other in the light, one looking serious, the other smiling.

The one who smiles is ready, the one who is serious, his brow furrowed and his cold, stern expression makes people afraid to approach.

Seeing him hesitate, Katerina was in no hurry.

She waited in good humour, admiring Rowson's handsome face in all its glory.

There was nothing about this man that was not to her liking.

But in their line of work, if they were to move with their true feelings, what would happen to them would be unthinkable.

At this point, Rowson's mind swept through a myriad of thoughts, too many to catch any of them.

In the end, all that remained in his mind was Eloise's clear face.

The way she smiles at him, the way she frowns in anger, the way she softly pleads, the way she stubbornly holds back ...

Rowson's throat went dry and he grabbed his glass and drank it down, still unable to quench his thirst.

And then, unbuttoning the front two buttons of his shirt, as if deciding on something, he narrowed his eyes and said, "How are you going to help?" Katerina did not make a sound, but watched his movements.

Sensing the look in Katerina's eyes, Rowson looked at her coldly and gathered his shirt tighter, his tone inexplicably somewhat grim.

"What are you looking at?"

Katerina looked back and threw a wink.

"It's human nature to hold on to a handsome man."
