Love Comes To Me
Chapter 797: Unidentified Drugs

Eloise couldn't help but feel sorry for the man in front of her. Hector has not been in good working order since Eloise left.

By now, Eloise was back, and it was time to finish the work he had delayed.

However, in order to be able to see Eloise at all times, the study door is open, and one can see, if one looks up, the first two children in the living room on the first floor. After giving the two children a bath, Eloise played with their toys and both little ones were in good spirits today.

It was Eloise, on the other hand, who was a bit low on energy and yawned as she played.

She sat on the carpet, her back against the sofa, trying to hold her eyelids up.

So sleepy...

Strange, she hadn't stayed up late and had slept in this morning, so how could she be so sleepy.

Sweety here didn't notice and softly said, "Mummy, pass me the piece next to yours for a moment."

As soon as the words left his mouth, Solomon immediately covered his sister's mouth and whispered, "Sweety, Mummy is asleep, let's be quiet and not disturb her, I'll get it for you." Sweety turned her head to look at Eloise on the couch and immediately behaved so well that she even let her breathing drop.

Later, when talking to Solomon, it was all lip-synced.

Eloise didn't wake up until the two little ones had finished putting together a Lego.

Over here, Hector was just about finished with his work commitments and finished his video conference.

Looking up, I saw Eloise curled up on the sofa, sleeping soundly.

He frowned slightly, striding out, leaning down to pick up Eloise and saying to Solomon, "Solomon, take your sister to bed." Solomon meekly said, "Got it, Daddy."

Hector then carried Eloise into the bedroom and laid her gently on the bed.

During all this time, Eloise did not wake up.

Hector just thought she was tired and didn't think anything of it. He went to the bathroom, took a shower, and fell asleep with Eloise in his arms.

As a result, Eloise slept until noon the next day.

Hector was in his study working on papers and came over to look at them at intervals.

At first he could not bear to call her, but when it was past twelve and Eloise still showed no sign of waking up, he realised something was wrong. "Eloise?"

Hector called softly to the person on the bed, but Eloise's eyes remained closed and she did not respond.

Hector's heart lifted and he reached out to touch her face, luckily, there was no fever.

However, even so, he did not drop his guard, as Eloise never woke up.

Hector got a bit flustered and patted Eloise's cheek and kept calling out, "Eloise, Eloise, wake up ..."

He stared at Eloise's face for an instant, wishing beyond hope that she would open her eyes, blame herself for disturbing her sleep and scold him for it. But Eloise couldn't let him have his way.

Realising something was wrong, Hector scrambled to get her out from under the covers, changed out of her pyjamas, carried her and rushed outside. Solomon and Sweety were both shocked to see this.

Hector settled down, worried about scaring the children, and said in a deep voice, "Mummy has eaten badly and is a bit sick, Solomon, Sweety, you are at home, behave yourselves." "Okay, Daddy."

Solomon led Sweety obediently and watched from his spot as Daddy hugged Mummy and left, but Solomon always felt that things were not as simple as Daddy said. Thinking of the germs in her system, Hector didn't dare hesitate to put his foot on the gas and drive towards Almeida's research lab.

All the way there, Eloise just lay there quietly, not responding no matter how much Hector called out.

Hector looked at the unconscious Eloise and was distraught.

When they arrived at the Institute, Hector hastily carried the man out.

Eloise's face was pale and Hector's hands were shaking as he held her.

"Almeida! Almeida!"

Hector's usual calmness has completely disappeared.

At that moment, Almeida emerged from inside the Institute, not daring to delay at all when she saw such an anxious Hector.

In the laboratory, Sener had received a call from Almeida well in advance to prepare.

After wheeling the person into the laboratory, a full body examination was started.

Outside the laboratory, there is silence.

Hector leaned against the snowy white wall, his large hands dishevelled over his eyes.

The tall body is weak and fragile in this moment, against the wall as if it can no longer hold on.

He held this position for a long time before he finally couldn't hold on and slowly slid down against the wall.

Hector was in a daze, feeling nothing but a buzzing in his ears and snowy whiteness before his eyes.

He didn't even dare to think about what would become of him if he got any bad results later on.

The moment seems to overlap with the scene from years ago when we searched for Eloise in the sea.

Everyone advised him to give up, but he was the only one who persisted.

I don't know what supports me, but there is always a voice in my heart that says I can't give up.

The phone in my coat pocket buzzed and vibrated, stopping and ringing until it went black.

A long, long time passed, so long that he no longer had the strength to move while maintaining the position.

He was so afraid... so afraid that she would just disappear...

After another moment, there was a rattle at the laboratory door and Almeida's figure in a sterile suit appeared before him.

Almeida took off her glasses and rubbed her eyes at the sight of the man sitting on the floor in front of her, staring blankly at one spot.

It was a sight he could not believe would be the spirited Hector.

"Prince?"

At the sound of the voice, Hector looked up dishevelled.

Almeida took off her gloves and mask and said quietly, "It's been checked and you can go in."

Hector moved slowly, as if his body was no longer his own.

Holding onto the wall, he just barely managed to stand up.

Looking through the doorway, the person in the bed was unmoving, still with her eyes tightly closed.

Hector mentally prepared for the worst and asked in a low voice, "What's wrong with her? Is it serious?"

"It's not life-threatening for now, just in a coma, so calm down Prince, let's come and talk."

Almeida was afraid that Hector would lose control and smash up her lab again.

After all, Hector is now at his most vulnerable and fearsome.

As if the words had brought his soul back to his body, Hector rubbed his pounding temples and followed Almeida into another laboratory. "Look, this is a new discovery this time."

Almeida handed Hector a new blood specimen and continued, "Miss Eloise had an additional unidentified drug in her system.

What appears to keep the original bacteria at bay actually strengthens their camouflage, which is not conducive to clearing the body of bacteria and can also be interpreted as new germs." With every word he spoke, Hector's face clouded a few shades.
