Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 806: Going to a lot of trouble
Hector will need at least a little preparation time to take on a pharmaceutical family with deep roots in Italy, which has been established for many years - after all, it is not his own territory. Bergerian is an opponent that can no longer be underestimated.
"No need to look into these companies he's acquired for now, but what has he been up to before this?"
King sniffed and thought for a moment before saying, "There have been a number of extremely secretive institutes in the Bergerian prior to this, three have been traced and found so far, all spread out in different towns." A few short sentences are enough to show how vigilant Bergerian is.
After hearing this, Hector was lost in thought.
Rowson is now in Italy, where Bergerian's lair happens to be, and where Bergerian has institutes. Hector would not believe it if he said that there was no necessary connection between them.
They have joined together for nothing more than drug research.
Rowson was highly competent in medicine and Bergerian was bound to pull him under his wing.
This time Rowson took Eloise straight to Italy at the behest of Bergerian.
As for what might happen to Eloise while she was under their command, Hector dared not think about it and ordered in a cold voice, "You'll need to keep a close eye on Bergerian, he's very cunning, don't fall for him." King nodded, "Don't worry boss, I'll be careful."
Hector pinched his brow a little tiredly, his eyes red and bloodshot from a late night.
"Just keep an eye on Bergerian, he should know I'm coming, the main thing now is to replace out where Eloise and Rowson are, they've only just arrived, they'll be looking for a place to stay first, let's start with the hotels." "Yes, boss, you get some rest, I'll be right there."
With that, King quickly left the room to go on his mission.
Knowing that he still had to keep a rational mind at all times, Hector forced himself to close his weary eyes.
After all, he is not a machine and is a human being who needs rest.
But the thought of Eloise's safety was unpredictable and he couldn't really sleep, his mind was on Eloise.
In another location in Italy, there is a hint of fragrance in the air to which Eloise is slowly waking up.
Looking around at the unfamiliar surroundings, Eloise couldn't help but be wary.
The room she was in was large and the interior was quiet.
It was so quiet that Eloise wondered if she was alone here and even time seemed to stand still.
The texture of the quilt covering your body is silky smooth and smells pleasant.
The floor is covered with exquisite carpets and there are exotic paintings on the walls.
She moved her body and the pain behind her neck was overwhelming as Eloise recalled what had happened before she fell asleep.
It seems she was arguing with Rowson about something when a sudden force knocked her right out.
Now looking at the large room with only her in it, Eloise couldn't help but feel a little scared.
Where the hell is this?
Did Hector know he was being taken?
How do you get in touch with him?
Everything here is an unknown to Eloise.
The eye glances at the window and outside the garden is neatly repaired but the bushes are very high.
With the addition of a fence wall to hide behind, it doesn't seem too difficult to climb out of here ...
At this thought, Eloise sat up sharply and was just about to lift the covers and get out of bed when there was a thin sound of a door opening at the door. Her mind panicked and she hurriedly lay back down and closed her eyes.
There was a click and the door opened from the outside.
The sound of footsteps slowly approaching from a distance.
"I know you're awake, get up."
Rowson's voice rang out as if her every move could not escape Rowson's eyes.
Knowing that she was being poked, Eloise had to sit up.
Seeing Rowson approaching with a tray in his hand, she shrank back under the covers and hid.
Seeing her looking at herself so defensively, Rowson mentally sighed and moved the tray a little closer.
"You eat something."
Eloise glanced at the tray of milk and subconsciously refused, "I'm not hungry and who knows what strange things will be added to the food this time."
The last drugging had put her on alert enough that any time Rowson gave her something to eat, it reminded her of what had happened before.
Rowson, however, ignored her words and handed her the milk in a gentle tone.
"You haven't eaten since you left France, your body will never stand it if you keep this up, be good."
Eloise looked at his gentle look and became increasingly angry, "Now you're concerned, why didn't you think I would hate you when you joined forces with your mother to trick me into coming home?"
Rowson was silent, his hand with the milk pausing awkwardly in mid-air for a moment.
When he didn't answer, Eloise grimaced, "I'm going back."
After a long period without energy and water intake, her lips had begun to turn white.
But now, she was never going to take any of the food Rowson handed her lightly again.
Rowson knew she was wary of herself now and could only persuade her nicely, "You can't leave just yet Eloise, I brought you here for your own good, the medical conditions over here are quite a bit better than in France, Hector he can't cure you."
Eloise was impassive, staring down at the pattern on the carpet, deaf to what he had to say.
With successive rejections, Rowson's eyes were no longer calm.
He got up and moved closer to Eloise, raising his voice, "Will you believe me for once? I'm definitely doing this for your own good, I'm not going to hurt you!"
Eloise was caught unawares by his shoulders and fought desperately to get away from him on her hands and knees.
"Rowson, if you really wanted what was best for me you wouldn't have drugged me! Didn't you cause the bacteria in my body? And now you say you're going to bring me in for a cure, who knows what you have in mind!"
Her struggle like this left Rowson helpless, and the anger and questioning in her eyes made his heart ache even more.
Seeing that Eloise was still struggling, Rowson took Eloise by the shoulders and forced her to look at him, frowning, "Calm down, Eloise, I'm the only one who can get the cure for you now!"
At those words, Eloise's mouth curled into a mocking smile, "The antidote? Rowson, it's come to this and you still won't admit you did it?"
At her questioning gaze, Rowson slumped his shoulders in dismay, his face turning uncomfortable.
"Yes, I admit I did it, but I'm trying to salvage it now, Eloise you believe me."
With a smile on her lips, Eloise said coldly, "Deliberately drugging me and now saying you'll cure me, Rowson, you've gone to a lot of trouble to be the good guy."
