Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 814: Leave this to me
The André estate at this time.
Hector slowly walked up to the door of the main house as yellow lights gradually came on in the trees on either side.
The door to the mansion burst open and a tall young man stepped out from inside, "Hector! We meet again at last!"
The man said and walked towards the two men with open arms and embraced Hector.
Hector patted him on the shoulder, a grateful smile on his face, "Thanks for tonight, Andre."
"It's good to know that you can also use me in a way that I'm naturally happy to help."
With those words, André put a long arm around Hector's shoulders, "How's that, did it show?" "No, no one has found out who I really am for the time being."
The two men looked at each other and both laughed.
"It's really thanks to you, otherwise I'd be in big trouble tonight." Hector said with a raised eyebrow.
Andrei gave Hector's shoulder an angry thump and said, "A little help, how many times have you helped me before? You've never counted on anything in return." The two men were standing in the middle of the road talking when there was a rustle on the grass next to them.
Thomas felt something suddenly run over his feet and screamed out.
This unexpected touch is most frightening.
At the sound of the voice, Hector and Andre's conversation was immediately interrupted and they looked at Thomas together.
Thomas gave an embarrassed smile, "Sorry."
Andre smiled reassuringly, "It's okay, that would be baby squirrels, they like to be out at night."
The three of them talk and walk, and soon enter the main house. The hall is not overly fancy, but the decoration and furnishings are exquisite and elaborate. What catches the eye most is a painting above the mantel.
The figures on the paintings are lifelike and well crafted.
Hector, for one, couldn't help but look twice at it.
André introduced it with satisfaction, "It's a work that took me two whole years and a lot of effort."
Hector nodded, complimenting, "It's really good."
André led Hector to the bar and suggested, "A drink? We haven't seen each other in a long time, let's not get drunk."
Hector sat down in the comfortable sofa, "I'm afraid there's no way I can promise you that."
At those words, Andrei was on his feet.
Hector used to have a small gathering of the two for a nice bottle of wine whenever he visited.
However, this time Hector's arrival and unusual behaviour made André smell a difference.
With some concern, he asked, "What's wrong? Did something happen?"
Hector stood up, patted Andre on the shoulder and looked at him a little apologetically, "I'm here to replace someone this time, so I can't stay with you until I'm drunk." Seeing the sadness in his eyes, André's expression became serious, "Looking for someone? I might be able to help."
Hector paused, remembering Eloise, and his expression dimmed.
"My wife, Eloise, has been taken to Italy with malicious intent and I must replace her as soon as possible."
Andre looked at Hector a little inquisitively, "Can I be of any help?"
At these words, Hector fell into silence.
The André family's contacts in Italy, although extensive, are all serious business.
To be tainted with the Bergerian, a vine of iniquity, could well be detrimental to the whole family.
Such an outcome is not what Hector wants to see.
"This is a bit tricky and I don't want to involve too many people in it just yet."
Seeing him say so, André did not continue to ask further, but only admonished, "Since you have already decided, I will not say anything more, but when you need help, you say so.
It is late now, so stay with me, it is safe here, and as for replaceing someone, you can send someone in secret, it would be too big a target for you to go out yourself."
Hector thought about it and it wasn't a bad way to go.
There was no telling if Bergerian's men were watching the outside of the estate, and if he found out that he was a fake, it would level the playing field.
"Yes, please." Hector said politely.
However, just as the words left his mouth, he was tapped on the shoulder by Andrei, "I told you not to say anything polite to me, the guest room is ready, you guys have a good night's rest."
Inside the guest bedroom on the first floor, Hector stands by the white carved balustrade and dials a number that is not in his address book.
The call was answered and a cold female voice came through, "Who is it?"
"Hey, it's me." Hector's low voice rang out.
Killers was lounging in the bath and became serious when he heard Hector's voice, "Ken, what's wrong?"
"Killers, any news?" Hector asked as he got right to the point.
"I'm sorry, not yet. I've sent someone to keep a close eye on the Hades Society, but they're acting normally, so I haven't found anything out yet, and that Rowson is being too cautious, I haven't found out where he lives yet." Hector's brow furrowed slightly, although this result was expected, he couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment when he actually heard it.
Soon, he hid the despondency in his eyes and the number of Rowson's car in the car park came to him.
If we can locate the car, we can probably tell where Rowson lives.
"I need you to run a plate number for me, but it doesn't have to be a real one."
"OK, leave this to me."
After promising to do so, Killers quickly used his contacts under his command to start looking.
At the moment, Eloise, in the townhouse, is sitting bored in her room.
Rowson has not been seen since he left that day.
The extent to which she can move around each day is in this small room, surrounded by three maids who provide 'help' for her in real time. To put it bluntly, they are just eyes and ears to spy on her.
