Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 819: This is not a place to stay for long
"Where are you?"
"I'm at the Seine Hotel, room number 1808," Eloise said as she gave the hotel and room number in quick succession.
"Listen, Eloise, from now on the call must not be disconnected, you go now and lock the door of your room immediately and don't open it, no matter who knocks! Wait for me to get there!"
Hector gestured to Thomas, who was following him, and Thomas complied, hastily sending his men off after Hector.
Eloise sat leaning on the edge of the bed, listening to the familiar voice coming from the receiver, and the unease in her heart finally dropped.
He would surely come to her rescue.
The sound of a car roaring over the phone, and feeling him getting closer, Eloise's heart grows firmer and she can't help but feel a lump in her throat.
Hector pushed the accelerator all the way to the floor, fearing that if he arrived a second later, something might happen.
Fifteen minutes later, arrived at the hotel entrance.
Looking at the lift that had already gone up, Hector cursed and ran up the stairs without even waiting for the other lifts.
Listening to Hector's increasingly rapid breathing and the chaotic sound of his footsteps, Eloise, somewhat unable to contain her excitement, went behind the door and looked out through the cat's eye. "Eloise, I'm coming."
The moment she saw Hector's tall figure through the cat's eye, Hector's voice sounded abruptly.
Eloise couldn't wait to open the door, so excited that even her movements trembled a little.
The door to the room opened and Hector's heart fluttered as he looked at the small woman half hidden behind it.
Hurriedly, he stepped forward and held the person tightly in his arms, "Finally, I've found you."
Hector wrapped his arms around the woman in his arms, only to feel more vulnerable than before, as if he could crush her with a single push.
Eloise's heart, which had been in a panic for a long time, seemed to quiet down completely in his arms at this moment.
There was a long hug before Eloise looked up and nudged him gently, her slightly nasal voice ringing out, "Let's go inside."
Hector reluctantly released her, unable to stop his heart from aching as he looked at her red and swollen eyes.
The cool fingertips gently brushed away the teardrops from her face, but the more they wiped away, the more they grew. Hector looked at her visibly slimmer face and figure, and his heart welled up with pain.
Lifting her straight up by the waist, she returned to the room.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, Eloise tightened her grip on Hector's palm, the only way she could be sure that she was really there for him.
After staring into her eyes for a long moment, Hector lowered his head and kissed her lips, swallowing all the whimpers that came out of her mouth as well. He kissed her until she couldn't breathe, and then Hector let her go.
Her cheeks were a flush from the kiss, but she could not hide her pale face.
Smoothing the strands of hair from her ears back, Hector inquired softly, "What's been going on with you these past few days?"
Eloise sniffed and her face darkened.
The last few days had been a nightmare for her, and the changes in Rowson were more than she wanted to remember.
Noticing the emotion in her eyes, Hector's large hands fell to her back and he couldn't help but take her into his arms, stroking her back one by one, soothing her.
"I was taken to Milan by Rowson, who said he was going to treat me, put me in a house and sent someone to keep an eye on me, and then... switched to a villa."
During those closed hours, she was alone in the empty house all day long, and every now and then the servants who came in stared at her with cold eyes, afraid she would run away or kill herself.
The endless waiting and the panic of being imprisoned made her afraid to even sleep with the lights off at night, and even the sound of the wind outside her window could wake her up in an instant. Eloise paused and sniffled a little, her voice finally stopped shaking, "I eventually found a way to escape, and on the way I met a kind man who took me to this hotel."
Her eyes were unconsciously fearful, and her wet eyes were like those of a deer.
Hector could almost imagine what a frightening time she had been having lately trying to escape Rowson's surveillance.
His brow furrowed and his heart was thankful that he had arrived a step earlier.
If Rowson or Bergerian had found it earlier, there is no telling how much more suffering would have been involved.
A slight chill ran through Eloise's heart as she recalled the previous days, but fortunately, the man's chest was so warm that little by little it dispelled all her fears.
"And have you noticed if Rowson has been in contact with anyone in the last few days?" Hector asked out loud, still patting her back gently.
Eloise hesitated for a long time, thought hard and shook her head gently.
Eloise, whose mood had by now adjusted, emerged from the man's arms and, seeing his brow furrowed in concern, asked, "What's wrong? Is something wrong?" With those words, he lifted his hand to tenderly smooth the crease between his brows.
Looking at the tenderness in her eyes as she looked up at him, Hector reacted by stroking her silky hair.
"Nothing, thinking about something small and insignificant."
When he finished his eyes shifted down and noticed the wound on her calf, Hector abruptly knelt down and gently touched her calf muscle. "How is it hurt, does it hurt?" The normally cold brow was now all nervousness.
"A little bruise, it didn't hurt, it was just a bruise, it's fine now."
With that she drew her calves back, she didn't want to worry Hector.
But when she moved, it seemed to pull at the wound and Eloise gave a soft "hiss".
"Where does that not hurt?"
Hector made a move to grab her ankle, trying to get a closer look for any other injuries.
At this, two red clouds rose on Eloise's face, and her eyes dropped slightly in embarrassment as she grabbed his wrist with her small white hand.
"It's just a little skin from the fall, it's not a problem."
It was a short sentence, but to Hector's ears it was heartbreaking.
He rubbed her head and said, "Eloise, this is not a good place to stay, we must leave now."
"Okay, I'll go with you."
Hector took off his jacket and draped it over her, half-embracing her, half-hugging her as she stood up, pulled off her room card and walked out the door.
Passing through the huge transparent revolving doors, Hector took Eloise's hand and walked towards the car parked in front of the hotel.
After opening the passenger side and escorting her head to the car, and carefully arranging her clothes, Hector walked around the front of the car, got into the driver's seat and started the car. The car pulls slowly out of the car park and gradually merges into the traffic.
Not far from a car, Rowson had it all in his sights.
The intimacy between the two stung Rowson's nerves hard.
She eventually followed Hector.
Rowson smiled miserably, and a bitterness seemed to well up in his throat.
He had gone to great lengths to fight for her condition, even to the point of blocking the last of their friendship and imprisoning her, only to get such a chilling result.
The night was as sombre as his mood at the moment.
Rowson's bony hand on the steering wheel was white, and he couldn't look away from the two men for a long time.
Abruptly, with a hard push on the accelerator, he dashed across the road, rolling up a trail of yellow leaves at the rear of the car.
