Love Comes To Me
Chapter 821: Welcome to us

Rowson wrapped his arms around his chest and leaned back against the back of his chair, taunting, "If I let go now, do you think I'd still be joining you?" Katerina flicked her cigarette ash and her red lips were on fire.

She took a puff of her cigarette, moved closer to Rowson and puffed it in his face, the white smoke blurring Rowson's vision.

Her voice came out like a ghost, "If you could really let go so easily, I wouldn't be saying this."

Katerina pinched him, powerless to struggle.

Rowson pushed her away with a grimace of disgust, "Get lost."

Katerina retreats, unimpressed, and presses her cigarette out in the ashtray.

Seeing Rowson go for another drink, he reminded, "Tomorrow is your official posting day, you don't want anything to go wrong."

"No need for you to bother."

Rowson reopens a bottle of wine with a scowl.

Katerina but just a word of caution.

Rowson is disillusioned, but in his heart he probably has a good idea of what he has done.

At that moment, the music in the bar suddenly changed to a very hot tune and, as if hearing a call to action, a crowd of people poured onto the dance floor. "To the dance?"

She pulled Rowson along and was met with a dry refusal.

Katerina snorted, Rowson was only good for a drink with that look.

Can't even accept the touch of the others, held to death by Eloise. "Pussies."

She taunted Rowson and received a cold, stern look from the latter.

After that, she left the man with the shadowy expression alone and went onto the dance floor to the sound of the music.

The crowd around him is frighteningly lively, yet Rowson feels incredibly lonely.

Katerina jumped out in a sweat and returned to her original position looking for Rowson, no one in sight.

Darkly wondering if he had gone back, his eyes flickered to the ground and he saw the drunken man.

With a low curse, she walked over and kicked, calling out, "Hey, get up."

Rowson did not respond and Katerina resigned herself to helping the man up and taking him back to his quarters.

I wanted to do something about it while I had the chance, but smelling Rowson's strong smell of alcohol and looking at his face, which was sleeping like a dead man, I lost interest and left the man behind and left. This night Rowson slept soundly.

In the dream, he was with Eloise and they went to a place where no one bothered them and lived a carefree life.

Each day is sweet and he wants to laugh and wake up with a smile.

The harsh light shone through the uncurtained window and Rowson's head ached.

Instinctively, he raised his hand to block it, and mentally hated the light, which pulled him out of his dream.

He was about to close his eyes and continue his previous dream when a sharp doorbell rang abruptly.

Rowson went to open the door with a stern face and there was Katerina standing outside.

When she saw Rowson's messy hair, his rumpled clothes and his chin covered in fresh stubble, she knew the man was probably just now waking up.

Looking at the time, Katerina urged, "Take you to the Institute at nine, go and get ready."

A sleepy-eyed Rowson washed his face and teeth as quickly as he could, shaved cleanly and emerged a very different person.

"Let's go." Rowson said faintly.

Katerina looked at him for a couple of moments and wondered what a good-looking man he was, but unfortunately, blind.

Rowson went over in Katerina's car and was blindfolded when he got there.

He said impatiently, "You have already agreed to my entry into the Institute, which means that you approve of me, so what's the point of playing these tricks." "It was Mr Bergerian's request, I was just following orders."

Katerina's voice was calm, not angry at Rowson's bad attitude.

Rowson grimaced and stopped talking.

Katerina gave him a look and started the car.

On the road, Rowson is in a bad mood and doesn't talk to Katerina.

Katerina concentrated on driving, occasionally glancing at him through the rear-view mirror, looking puzzled and unsure of what she was thinking.

Rowson couldn't see it and couldn't tell where it was, but had to feel it by the car running.

The road was uphill and there were many bends, so he guessed that where they were going, it would be up in the mountains or something. Bergerian was careful to choose places that were not necessarily so easy to replace.

Rowson thought coldly.

He was unfamiliar with the place and was blindfolded, so he couldn't reveal the address of the place later even if he had to exit. When it comes to cunning and vigilance, it is the Bergerian who is the best.

After about an hour or so, the car finally stopped.

It seemed that someone greeted them and spoke to Katerina in a strange language that Rowson did not understand. They should have done it on purpose, to guard against him.

Immediately afterwards Rowson was led, into a place of some kind.

Rowson couldn't help but feel a little impatient inside, but at that moment someone finally came over and took his blindfold off.

As he lifted his eyes and adjusted to the light, he drew a backward breath, shocked by what he saw before him.

It is a very large research base with several extremely extensive laboratories.

In addition, these laboratories, which house a very large collection of advanced medical equipment, are a mecca for medical freaks.

Rowson guarantees that even the best medical laboratories in the world would not have this luxury of the Bergerian.

Rowson looked at it twice more, sweeping his stern eyes over it and making a mental note of it all.

The face remained unmoving as she silently followed Katerina.

Two people came up to him and Rowson squinted; one of them was Bergerian.

"Here we are, we've been waiting here for a long time."

Bergerian shrugged his shoulders slightly and looked around the room, spreading his hands out and enquiring confidently, "How's it going here, not too bad, huh?"

The questioning phrase, the tone of the statement, is clearly a way of showing off what he has.

Rowson looked round cooperatively, a brilliant gleam in his eyes, a gentle smile and an exclamation, "Certainly very good, this is the most comprehensive research base I have ever seen."

As the words left his mouth, Rowson gazed aside to see the man, Professor Curry, examining himself up and down.

Bergerian looked at the pair as they locked eyes and introduced them, "This is Professor Curry, you've met before and you'll be partners from now on."

"Welcome to us." Professor Curry's reaction was somewhat unnaturally excited.

Rowson had it in his mind that he had just known what his name was and now he was acting like it.

This man is certainly not simple.

It seems Bergerian doesn't trust him enough after all.

"Nice to meet you."

Both men held out their hands with formulaic smiles.

For a moment the eyes meet in the air, both flashing with an unintelligible light, but hidden by the dim light around them.
