Love Comes To Me
Chapter 824: I am your husband's old lover

After Maryam adjusted the position of her phone, a kind smile appeared on her cheeks, which were poorly channelled. "How have you all been doing?"

Eloise gave a soft 'hmm', "It's all good."

She looked closely at Maryam's face and found the slightest hint of sickness that could not be concealed.

Eloise couldn't help her nose, but hung her head in fear that Maryam would see her.

Noticing the change in Eloise, Hector's hand patted her at the shoulder in what appeared to be a silent reassurance.

"Eloise."

Maryam's voice was very soft and sounded a little tremulous when you listened closely, "You're so old, why can't you take care of yourself, look at you, you've lost weight." At that, Eloise laughed, "Mum, I'm not skinny, I still have meat, believe it or not."

She said it with all seriousness and pinched herself in the face.

Yet the truth is that she pinched her face so hard that it hurt before she could barely pinch two taels of flesh out of it.

How could she not lose weight after running around for the past few days? She was just trying to allay her mother's worries by doing this.

"Well, I know you've grown flesh, but it looks better with a bit more growth."

Hector took her hand in his and rubbed the back of it gently against her face.

"Mum, we're all fine, and you and the kids are doing well too."

At that moment, Solomon spoke crisply, his eyes looking up at Eloise, "Mummy, when are you coming back? We miss you so much."

Sweety also cooperated by saying "mmmmmmmmmmm" several times and looked at her mummy with bewilderment.

At these words, Eloise's expression showed a slight downcast look.

All her documents were with Rowson and she couldn't really go back for a while until she got them back.

Hector knew she was in a difficult position and said, "Daddy's project here has just come down and he needs to stay here for a while, so he can't go back yet."

But it was children on the other side of the screen, and the two little ones knew enough to listen to Hector's answer without further ado.

Just keep staring at Eloise on the other end of the video, with a hidden watery look in her eyes.

Eloise realised that this would not do and hastily changed the subject to bring the mood up.

Within moments, the two young children were laughing.

Hector puts his arm around Eloise's shoulders, occasionally rubbing his fingertips against her delicate skin. He occasionally rubs his fingertips against her delicate skin, occasionally returning a few words. This image is quite harmonious.

After a long time, Eloise looked at Maryam's face with a slightly tired look on it before reluctantly hanging up the phone.

Hector kissed Eloise on the cheek and said reassuringly, "Mum's always been that way, don't worry too much."

The two were pressed closely together, Eloise closing her eyes and brushing against his shoulder.

"Well, I know, just miss them."

Hector didn't say anything, his long fingers threading into Eloise's hair, stroking it one by one, "Soon, get your papers back and I'll take you back." Eloise nodded, silent, and after a few minutes her mood had returned to normal.

"Let's eat, I'm hungry."

"Good."

...

Dinner had long been prepared, yet the two had just been seated when the doorbell rang.

Hector couldn't help but frown at who was coming over so late at night.

He poured Eloise a glass of juice in his hand and put it in front of her, "I'll go and see, you eat first if you're hungry."

With those words, Hector got up and went to open the door.

Hector's eyes fell on the doorway and a woman of about five foot seven appeared in his vision.

The woman is wearing a short top with a plunging neckline and black Martin boots under long trousers.

The long hair is worn casually to reveal a sleek forehead, the eyebrows are raised and when not speaking it is a fierce look, a look that is extremely aggressive.

While the smile is fake, Eloise has to admit that this is a beautiful woman.

The woman walked over very naturally, "So you're already eating, the food is good!"

She walked around the table and came between Hector and Eloise, reaching out to put her hand on Hector's shoulder.

Hector's brow twitched and his dark eyes were like deep, dark pools, "Killers, the hands aren't wanted?"

Killers' hand lurched and withdrew instantly.

Very naturally, she stroked her long hair and snapped, "Ken, why are you still the same, you don't even want to touch after knowing each other for so long, I don't know how you got your wife." When she had finished, she did not wait for the two hosts to speak, and settled herself down on Hector's right hand side.

Hector watched her sit down, the air around her changed a little, and asked in a cold voice, "What are you doing here?" "To see your wife, of course."

Not caring about his attitude, Killers eyes drifted to Eloise's face for a couple of seconds to survey it and after a pause, smiled softly, "No wonder Ken is so protective, she really is a beautiful woman." Hector didn't say anything this time and wasn't sure what the mood was, but it certainly wasn't pleasant.

Killers then warmly extended her hand towards Eloise with a lift of her red lips, "Hello, I'm your husband's old flame."

Eloise froze and looked inquiringly at Hector.

Hector's gaze was like hardened ice, his eyes landing coldly on Killers as he warned, "You came out here in the middle of the night to get yourself killed?"

Seeing some kind of bad emotion bubble up in Hector's eyes, Killers hastily changed his tune.

"No, no, no, that's the wrong word, not old lovers, old partners, we've known each other for many years."

She smiled at Hector, but it was as if the comment was now her joke.

What had been a leisurely dinner time was made a little awkward by this interruption, and the smell of gunpowder seemed to be spreading as Hector's face grew colder and colder.

Seeing this, Eloise suddenly smiled and politely shook her in mid-air, replying, "Hello, my name is Eloise."

At these words, Killers brow was tinged with arrogance as if he was scrutinising Eloise, but only for a moment.

Eloise withdrew her hand and took a napkin and wiped it on her fingertips, "It just so happens that we haven't started our meal yet either, so if Miss Killers doesn't mind, why don't you join us?" On hearing Eloise's invitation, Killers was quite nonchalant and naturally obliged.

"Good! In that case, then I'll be respectful, and it just so happens that I'm hungry."

Seeing Killers take his seat, Hector's eyes flashed a hint of displeasure.

But looking at Eloise's lack of any other reaction, nothing was said.

Just then, Eloise took Hector's arm, her tone suddenly a little more delicate.

"I want to have soup."

Hector's expression just froze and soon a smile appeared on his cheeks as his fingertips touched Eloise's face and he said dotingly, "Good." Then, he got up and went to serve a bowl of soup and handed it to Eloise.
