Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 825: All over the North and South
Killers watched the interaction between the two, glancing at Hector's softer look when he was in Eloise's presence, his face expressionless as he shoved a mouthful of greens into his mouth and chewed slowly. The atmosphere afterwards was fairly normal, although sensitive people always notice a bit of awkwardness, but Eloise didn't care. Because the meal was to her liking, she ate happily.
Seeing Eloise like this made Hector feel much better too.
After eating the last prawn on her plate, Eloise wiped the corner of her mouth gracefully and got up.
"I'm going to the bathroom."
Hector nodded and Killers looked at her with a good-natured grin.
Eloise smiled at the two men, and knew since then that Killers had come today for more than just a meal.
So, it was also probably a good guess that these two must have a lot to say that was not convenient to say in front of her.
After she left, Hector and Killers were the only ones left in the dining room.
The air pressure dropped by countless degrees in a matter of moments.
There was a cold light in Hector's eyes that looked like the refraction of cold ice, and the emotions he had been suppressing just now burst out in this instant.
"Say, what are you doing here?"
At that, Killers grumbled, "Ken, I'm here to remind you in good faith, so why the bad attitude, like I owe you money?"
"If you really did owe me money, I wouldn't be doing this to you."
Hector spoke in a rather muted voice, "You know I don't usually like to be disturbed, don't come challenging me."
"Not to mention the fact that your wife is here, so that makes it all the more important that you don't want me to show up, right?"
Killers interrupted, raising an eyebrow and smiling, "Are you really that protective of her?"
Hector's eyes were cold, not bothering to bother with her any more, he warned, "You have half a minute more, if you can't come up with a valid reason, get out of here right now and don't hang around with me." Killers rolled his eyes with great displeasure, "And you can't wait to get rid of me? When you think about it, how many years have we known each other?"
"You've come to catch up with me?"
There was no expression on his face, and his voice grew colder and colder, as if it was quenched with crushed ice, sending chills down one's back.
Killers has no doubt that if she had said 'yes' she would have been thrown out immediately by Hector.
Seeing that the joke was almost over, Killers put away his playful expression and said with a serious look on his face, "I came to kindly remind you that someone was investigating your whereabouts, but I've steered you away." At that, Hector's face fell, "Any idea who it is?"
Killers said in a good-natured way, "Do you need to tell me that? It must be your enemies, and you have enemies all over the world, even if I had to count them all day, I wouldn't be able to do it." That's no joke.
However, he would like to know who, exactly, had the audacity to come over and stalk?
At that moment he fell into deep thought, and seeing his silence, Killers also very rarely did not speak.
Hector's long fingers pick up the porcelain cup that sits to one side and rub the white rim of the cup against his fingertips.
The ruthless aura around him could not help but deepen by a few points.
After a moment, he glanced faintly at Killers, "Do you have anything else?"
Killers gave Hector a blank look and, looking at his expressionless face, sighed, "The people who are following you are a force to be reckoned with, so be careful when you go out, it's dangerous out there." Hector swept a glance in the direction Eloise had left and raised a hand to pinch his brow as he nonchalantly gave the eviction order, "I know, don't stay here either, go away."
"You're so heterosexual and inhuman!"
Killers frowned and grumbled as he dropped the words and stood up.
"Forget it, since you're not welcome, I'll just leave and not disturb you and your little wife to make love."
With that, he strode towards the door and closed it with a dashing bang.
Hector was unmoved, the indifference on his face instead dispelling some of it.
"What's wrong with you guys?"
Eloise happened to be coming out of the bathroom and as soon as she did, she heard a violent slamming of the door and the dining room was empty of the Killers, thinking they had had a bad time. "She had something to go first." Hector explained, stepping forward to take Eloise's hand and squeezing it gently.
"All right."
Eloise surveyed his expression without moving, and seeing nothing out of the ordinary, did not suspect anything.
Hector walked to the living room with his arm around Eloise and sat down on the sofa, his fingers playing with the hair on her shoulder as he asked out loud, "What do you want to do next?" When Eloise heard this, she couldn't help but think seriously about it.
When she was bored watching dog and pony shows before, she was envious of those couples who could watch movies with two people nestled in peace and quiet.
Today, it seems to be just the right opportunity.
Eloise snuggled into his arms and tilted her head, her eyes glowing with a fine light, "There's a movie I really want to see and I never got around to finishing it, why don't you finish it with me?" Looking at her in such a small feminine way, Hector pinched the tip of her nose, "Good."
Hector told the maid to bring over some snacks and fruit, and found out what Eloise wanted to watch.
With everything in place, Eloise nestled into his arms and watched the film comfortably.
Perhaps his embrace was so warm that Eloise fell asleep just halfway through the film's progress bar. Hearing her even, long breaths, Hector looked down at her with doting eyes.
The tenderness in his eyes seemed to overflow with water.
After another forty or fifty minutes, the movie ended and Eloise woke up rubbing her eyes, "Well."
Watching the end of the film, Eloise buried herself in Hector's arms with some embarrassment.
It was clearly her request, but in the end he was the one who read it all alone.
At this moment she was sleepy, her brow drooping, her voice softer than usual, and her whole appearance more languid.
Hector looked at her like this, and his heart felt like it was filled with cotton, very full.
The two of them got mushy on the sofa for a while longer before going back to their room.
While she goes to take a shower, Hector calls out to King.
It's better to replace out sooner rather than later about him being followed.
Ten minutes later, the door to the study was gently knocked on.
King stood respectfully in front of Hector, bending slightly, "Boss."
Hector's eyes moved away from the computer and fell on King, "Any recent movements?"
King sniffed and spoke with a flourish, "We have discovered that someone is investigating your whereabouts and that this force is very active." Hector asked in a cold voice, "Can you replace out who it is?"
King said truthfully, "It's Bergerian."
