Love Comes To Me
Chapter 829: It should be made whole

Hector paused slightly, as if he hadn't expected that Rowson would still help them cover up.

If Katerina replaces out about their presence, they probably won't be able to leave the house easily.

Looking around, the Rowson is simply furnished and there are no big-ticket items.

Eyes falling on the door, Hector hesitated a little; after all, the bedroom was someone else's private space.

While he hesitated, Rowson had pushed the door open ahead of him, gesturing for the two men to duck inside.

Outside the door Katerina did not hear an answer and knocked persistently.

After Hector had hidden inside with Eloise, Rowson straightened his clothes slightly and quickly went downstairs to open the door.

Katerina looked at a slightly flushed Rowson and asked, a little puzzled, "What took you so long?"

Rowson turned blandly up the stairs, sat back down where he had been earlier and said, "Changing clothes."

Katerina glanced suspiciously at the clothes Rowson was wearing, which appeared to be the same shirt as yesterday.

And the cuffs and collar of the dress were very neat, as if they had been carefully tidied, but there was no way that such care could have been taken in the rush earlier. Katerina, always observant and sensitive, was already suspicious.

Looking around, there is a cup of tea on the coffee table, already cold, without having taken a few sips.

There were no other mugs either, but Katerina couldn't help but wonder.

Her eyes darted around, knowing that if she asked a direct question, Rowson was unlikely to tell her and would instead be more wary.

So with a slight smile, he joked, "I've come to pick you up and take you to the Institute, I don't know if you're ready?"

Rowson stood up and raised an eyebrow, "I'll get a coat and get going."

Katerina returned the smile and watched Rowson walk into the bedroom.

Seeing Rowson walk in, Katerina surveyed her surroundings with increasing directness, her eyes falling on the door of the room that Rowson had closed with his backhand. Intuition told her that Rowson must be hiding someone in the house.

And, perhaps, it was inside his bedroom.

Katerina walks slowly, as if she were a ghost, almost without a sound.

Rowson went in, originally to tell Hector and Eloise when it was safest to leave.

Before he could say anything, Hector blushed and ducked into the bathroom, pulling Eloise with him.

Even though Katerina's footsteps were as soft as they could be, Hector was aware of them.

So much so that he took Eloise into the bathroom but didn't dare lock the door for fear of making a noise that would alert Katerina.

Katerina swung open the door and slowly stepped inside, looking around.

Rowson instantly understood Hector's actions and became enraged, turning to Katerina with a cold face, "What do you mean by that? Didn't your master ever tell you not to go into people's rooms at will?!" Katerina withdrew her hand in embarrassment, smiled sardonically and explained, "It's just that I'm afraid there's a burglar in your house."

Rowson grunted and pointed directly at the door outside, giving the eviction order, "Don't bother, you get out of here now, I don't need you to pick it up, I'll be there myself later."

Katerina's eyes fell on the door handle for a moment before she finally gave up, bowed deeply and immediately exited.

Her life, after all, was still in Rowson's hands.

It's not in your best interests to piss him off.

Only after watching Katerina's figure disappear completely did Rowson breathe a sigh of relief and open the bathroom door, "Come out." When he pushed open the door, he was greeted by the image of Eloise clinging to Hector's arms, her trusting gesture piercing Rowson's eyes. He took a deep breath and forced himself to calm down.

"Rowson, thank you for what you just did, and as for the papers, you can hand them over too."

Hector looked at Rowson, who had removed his defences in front of him, and said faintly.

He begs to differ with Rowson's approach, but it is also clear that the man's heart is not so bad. It is only being used.

Rowson was silent for a moment, exhaling a foul breath, finally intending to compromise.

He had been with Eloise for three years, three years that will probably be the best memories of his life, so that, perhaps, will be enough.

He closed his eyes and resigned himself to taking Eloise's papers out of his pocket.

He kept them with him as a final bargaining chip.

He didn't think that he would one day willingly hand this over, largely as a result of demons.

Eloise's eyes were already red beyond recognition and she actually wanted to sit down with Rowson and have a nice chat, like she used to.

But there is no going back, no going back to the old days.

"Rowson, thank you." With that last thank you, Eloise took a deep breath and choked out a sob.

Rowson forced back the tears in his eyes and smiled gently, with a lingering look in his eyes, but still handed over the papers to Eloise himself, "I'm sorry." The word sorry made him seem to let go of a lot in an instant.

All that doesn't matter anymore, Eloise is happy.

Looking at Hector in front of him, Rowson sighed in his mind.

In the end it is not herself who can bring happiness to Eloise after all, but the man in front of her.

Perhaps Hector not only appeared earlier than he did, he did better too.

But it doesn't matter, no matter what, he will always stand behind Eloise, supporting and protecting her, and he is content to watch her happiness and joy.

Love, it should be made whole.

Rowson has finally got it right by the end of the day.

Eloise looked at Rowson in front of her with nothing but endless frustration.

Finally, it was a matter of speaking up and advising, "Rowson, give up your previous idea and go back home to be with your mum and dad, they miss you. Hector will replace a way to save me, you ... have to be good." Rowson smiled bitterly, gathered himself and resumed that cold face.

All tenderness is left in the past, and from now on he, Rowson, will not hold out any hope.

Rowson didn't answer Eloise's words and walked straight away, not daring to look back.

He was afraid that if he saw Eloise, he would give up all his previous thoughts.

She will always be his weakness, always was and always will be.

But the difference is that from now on, as only he knows, Eloise has an unparalleled place in his heart.

But in the eyes of outsiders, she was unimportant so that she wouldn't be hurt again because of him. It's a comfort to think so.

Walking downstairs, he realised that Katerina hadn't left and had been waiting for him at the front door.

Katerina was aware that she had indeed been reckless in her earlier actions, so she had been afraid to leave, but also afraid to stay inside for fear that Rowson would misunderstand more deeply. "Get in." Katerina saw Rowson come out and immediately pulled the door open and invited him to get in.
