Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 833: Coming to see the joke
"So he's here today..."
"Come for the joke." Hector looked icy.
At that Thomas understood.
This Bergerian is clearly lifting a stone to his own feet.
Thomas settled down and asked, "Prince, so what do we do now?"
Bergerian has been so arrogant and oppressive that it is unbearable.
Hector's face remained unchanged as he said lightly, "No need to rush into it just yet."
Thomas has been with Hector for years, but still has some trouble keeping up with his thinking.
To Thomas' way of thinking, this kind of face should be punched back on the spot, so that Bergerian can experience a burnt-out feeling too.
As if he knew what Thomas was thinking, Hector said coldly, "The company has lost so much, and it is definitely time to get it back, but not now.
If we do it now, Bergerian will definitely take advantage of the situation again and the company will be even worse. So the first priority is to stabilise the situation and put the rest on hold." "Good." Thomas nodded and turned to go out.
As Thomas walked to the office door, Hector called out to him, "Inform all senior management that there will be a meeting in the conference room in five minutes."
Thomas responded and immediately went out to give notice.
Hector slowly leaned back in his chair, his perfect, knife-like cheeks were cold and sullen, and a stern gleam crossed his eyes.
Bergerian likes to have fun so much, so it was time for him to replace time to have some fun with Bergerian.
...
Bergerian took the lift down, his face as gloomy as the sky at the onset of a storm on the way down.
The assistant trotted after him.
A stretch limousine was already waiting at the curb when we left the office gates.
When the driver saw Bergerian coming out, he busily got out of the car and respectfully raised his hand, trying to open the door for Bergerian. Who knows, but was pushed aside with force.
Bergerian himself pulled the door open hard and bent down to sit in it.
And then, with a bang, the door slammed shut in anger.
The driver gave his assistant an innocent look.
The assistant gave him a look and told him to stay out of it.
The Bergerian was in a state of anger, and anyone who dared to pluck the tiger's whiskers at this time would have died a horrible death.
The driver was quiet as a chicken and went around the back of the car to the driver's seat.
The assistant sat in the passenger seat and quietly glanced sideways at Bergerian.
All that could be seen was Bergerian's tall frame sunken into the leather seat, his good-looking face expressionless, a storm gathering in his eyes.
His own boss had just lost a fortune and was naturally in a bad mood.
But it was also clear to the assistant that what Bergerian was really angry about was that he had gone to see Hector as a joke and ended up being made a joke of by Hector. How can this be tolerated.
Thinking of Hector's bemused face as he spoke to him about calling the police, Bergerian slammed a fist hard against the car door.
A muffled thud startled the two men in front of him.
The assistant glanced over and asked worriedly, "Your hand, sir?"
Bergerian's knuckles quickly flushed red as he put them away with an expressionless face and said coldly, "Nothing."
At those words, the assistant closed her mouth.
Bergerian looked out of the car window, the more he thought about it, the more irritated he became.
He was actually threatened by Hector?!
With a hostile look in his eyes, he could not wait to bring down the Rogers Group and see if Hector could still be arrogant.
The problem now, however, lies in the fact that Hector is wary and murderous.
Otherwise, the Rogers Group would not have expanded so rapidly.
This time, the move against his company under his nose must have made him even more wary, and it would be as difficult as heaven to make another move. Not only was it difficult to make a move on him, but also to prevent him from actually revealing anything to the police.
The thought of this sent a chill down his icy face.
After the car had travelled a little further, the assistant, thinking about what had happened at the Rogers Group, asked stiffly, "Sir, what should we do next?" Hector is unfathomable and the assistant has a vague feeling that his own boss is no match for him.
However, this is the sort of thing that he could never say in front of Bergerian.
If he really had to say it, Bergerian might have thrown him out of the car.
"What do you think, you think I'm going to be afraid of Hector?"
Bergerian looked unhappy.
The assistant wiped his sweat and said, "I mean, Hector already knows about our institute, so shouldn't we move immediately?"
Bergerian's private institute, which researches things that, no matter what country they are put in, would be enough to be arrested and shot.
If Hector were to leak out, the consequences would be unthinkable.
At that, Bergerian gave a mocking smile.
"Bullshit you! You think he knows everything?"
The assistant sweated a little, Bergerian had always prided himself on being a high class person and never showed such a vulgar side, so it seemed that he was really angry. But, still, the words did not answer his question.
So much so that the assistant had to ask again carefully, "So... that means no transfer?"
"Shift what shift," Bergerian burst out angrily, "do you really think he has our exact. location?"
At these words, the assistant was torn.
Is it not, and if not, why should Bergerian be threatened by him?
"He's scamming us?" The assistant suddenly said with a flash of light in her head.
Bergerian stared and sneered, "At least, he doesn't know where the Institute really is."
Even if Hector knew they had an institute, he didn't know exactly. Location.
If Hector did call the police, he could in turn sue Hector for false accusations.
"He's just using it as blackmail. The Rogers Group has lost a lot of money this time and Hector has nowhere to go, can't you see that he looks like he's just being mean?"
Bergerian was well aware that he had failed to fight Hector today and had suffered a stifling defeat, but how could he possibly admit it in front of his own assistant?
The assistant recalled that Hector seemed to have taken control of the situation in three words, but, since his boss had said so, he could not deny looking for death, and could only nod.
Bergerian folded his legs and added: "What's more, if he knew exactly.. where the location is, how could he hold back from making a move? Mind you, the virus in his wife's body hasn't been resolved yet." This analysis made perfect sense, and it was only then that the assistant agreed somewhat that this was indeed the case.
The first thing Hector would do if he really found the location of their institute was definitely not to go to the police, but to take it down himself.
After all, everything Hector does now is to replace a cure for the virus for his wife.
"Sir, you're right." The assistant patted a horse's back.
Bergerian glanced at him and said faintly, "That said, the Institute's security measures should be reinforced and ready to be relocated if problems are detected."
The assistant answered yes, picked up the phone and started to contact people.
Bergerian leans back in his seat, rubbing his brow with one hand, his eyes narrowed slightly, making it hard to read his emotions.
