Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 871: Rejection of the antidote
Hector couldn't resist Eloise's prodding and smiled softly as he stepped into the shower.
Eloise had planned to wait for Hector to come out and sleep in together.
But strangely enough, as soon as she sat down on the bed, her drowsiness came in uncontrollable bursts and her head became dizzy. Hector emerged from the bathroom with his short, wet hair on top.
The bedroom does not have a large light on, leaving only a small warm table lamp by the bedside table.
And there Eloise slept, her serene sleeping face making Hector's heart cave in.
Beside Eloise, Sweety's extremely inelegant yet very cute sleeping position made him give a soft chuckle.
Sweety was lying there in a large shape with her little white belly exposed.
Hector wiped the excess water from his hair before fetching a thin blanket to cover the mother and daughter.
For himself, he turned to leave the bedroom and prepared to go to the study to continue the work he had not finished at the office today.
He hadn't been out of the bedroom long when Sweety woke up.
She rubbed her eyes and turned her head to shout, only to replace that her mummy had fallen asleep.
Sweety thought about it and still didn't wake Eloise.
She carefully climbed out of bed and walked out of the bedroom.
She poked her little head in and saw that the light in the study was on, so she thumped her little bare feet into the study.
"Daddy!"
Sweety cried out in a crisp voice, then realised that Mummy was sleeping and covered her mouth in a hurry.
The little smartass ran to Hector's side and reached out for a hug.
"Baby, why are you awake, did daddy wake you up?"
Hector bent down and took Sweety into his arms and sat her on both knees.
"I couldn't sleep, and I didn't wake Mummy... look at me, Daddy!"
Sweety tilted her little face up in invitation, her grape-like eyes fluttering as if she could talk.
The word "compliments" was written all over his face.
Hector laughed and stroked Sweety's little head, "Well, our Sweety is the best behaved, but daddy has to work now, so you be a good boy and play aside first, okay?" Sweety pretended to think very seriously for a moment, then nodded.
voluntarily popped off Hector's knee and played nicely on his own aside.
But children are already very energetic and it is too boring to play alone.
It didn't take long for Sweety to come over again, climbing hard onto Hector's knee and burrowing into his arms.
Hector cried and laughed, and with a long arm he simply hugged the little girl and took care of business.
Sweety's big eyes bounced around, looking over the pile of papers and notebooks in front of Hector.
But the little girl couldn't read, so she soon got bored and turned around and stretched out her little meaty hands to squeeze Hector's face randomly. "Daddy, you play with Sweety."
"Daddy~"
The little girl's sappy tone was irresistible to Hector.
Besides, with the little girl making such a fuss, he couldn't concentrate on his business.
Hector had no choice but to put his business on hold and play with Sweety.
Luckily, unlike little boys, the little girl was coaxed and played with for a while before her energy wore off.
He was soon lulled to sleep in Hector's arms.
He did not rush to put Sweety back into bed in her bedroom, but carried her to attend to business.
Later in the evening, make sure Sweety is asleep before carrying her back to the bedroom.
Hector gently placed Sweety back on the bed and he leaned down again to drop a light kiss on Eloise's forehead.
The moment her thin lips touched her forehead, they were startled by the uncommonly hot temperature.
"Eloise?"
Hector's heart lifted abruptly.
He leaned down and took Eloise into his arms, patting her cheek with one hand, the burning warmth of his palm making him more and more alarmed. After Hector calmed down, he dialled his family doctor and asked him to come over immediately.
"Hector ..."
Eloise slept equally restlessly.
She only felt a chill run through her body and her eyes opened slightly as a slit.
When she saw that it was Hector who was holding her, she dove straight into his arms.
"Eloise, where's the discomfort?"
Hector wanted to hold the person in his arms tightly, but was afraid of hurting her, so he could only ask in a soft voice. "I'm cold."
Eloise wrapped her arms around Hector's waist in the same way.
Hector was so desperate that he simply hugged Eloise tightly and called the family doctor once again to urge him on.
The family doctor was informed and rushed over with the medicine box.
It took some tossing and turning to replace out that Eloise had a fever of thirty-eight and a half degrees.
The doctor prescribed a fever reducer and Hector himself poured warm water, holding Eloise in his arms with one hand.
With one hand, she took the pill to her lips and almost coaxed her to take it.
Originally thought this would be the end of it.
But what was never expected was this.
Eloise's stomach cramped and she wrenched herself from Hector's arms.
Turning to a side bin, he spat out the pills he had just consumed in a straight stream.
The family doctor froze, more or less at a loss for words.
It is not that he has not encountered this condition in his many years in medicine.
It's just that it's Hector's wife he's dealing with.
He was afraid that a failure to diagnose would lead to a mistake...
Hector would have realised something was wrong.
Eloise had been well all this time, but today, and after taking her medication, she suddenly developed a fever.
Hector was almost certain that it was Almeida and Sener who had worked out a drug to suppress the virus and that something had gone wrong.
As he sent the family doctor back, he called AlmeidaSener over.
Not daring to delay, the two men drove furiously all the way over.
Hector put things simply and clearly.
Even though he was trying to suppress his emotions, the cold aura revealed by his worry and nervousness still chilled people.
Almeida and Sener did not dare to delay and immediately gave Eloise a thorough examination.
At the same time Almeida was constantly explaining to Hector.
"This medicine has been tested countless times by us and there is nothing wrong with it. Don't you worry, we will replace out why."
After about twenty minutes of estimation, Almeida and Sener also determined the cause, "The virus in her body was rejecting the antidote we had developed and that was causing the discomfort." Hector's brow hadn't been stretched since he heard the words, and his frown tightened, "What do we do now?"
His voice was low, but revealed an icy coldness.
Even though the fever is only high now, who can they guarantee that other problems will not arise?
That was something he would never allow to happen!
"Don't you worry! We'll take care of it as soon as we can."
Almeida hastened to speak up and reassured Hector in all seriousness.
Sener's side had also dispensed the medicine and the two men hooked up an IV for Eloise.
To be able to observe Eloise's condition more quickly, the two men stay at the bedside every inch of the way.
Fear of missing a tiny bit of the situation.
