Love Comes To Me
Chapter 875: Retreating to the background

Hector's parents brought Solomon along to the airport to meet the three Eloise's flight.

At the sight of Eloise, Solomon couldn't resist and rushed forward like a little cannonball.

"Mummy-!"

A clear, childish voice rang out as Eloise smiled and crouched down to catch the rushing little one.

Eloise picked up Solomon and rubbed his little cheek, "Solomon, Mummy missed you!"

"Solomon misses Mummy too! And sister and daddy."

Hector's parents also came over and said something about how Solomon had been mumbling about how Mummy hadn't come back for the past few days. The group had a great time getting back to the Rogers family car.

With this return, the Eloise family of four is now completely settled in the country.

When I returned home, the maids had already prepared dinner.

The Rogers family, which had been quiet for some time, is back in full swing with the return of the Eloise trio.

"Sweety, come sit next to Grandma and she will give you a fish to eat."

Hector's mother, who had not seen her for a few days, also missed Sweety terribly and waved to her just as she sat down at the table.

Sweety also smiles as she sits between Hector's mother and Hector's father, enjoying the attention of both.

"Eloise, Hector, you guys can stay at home this time when you come back home, it'll be nice for us to have a nice family time."

Hector's mother said to Eloise as she picked out the tiny spines from the fish and put them in Sweety's bowl.

Without waiting for Eloise to say anything, Hector was the first to say back, "Mum, I've been house hunting recently, so Eloise and I won't be staying with you." Hector's mother's generation likes a good time, yes, but Hector likes peace and quiet.

And he also wants to build a mansion that Eloise likes properly.

Besides, he had already contacted his assistant to look for a house before he left for France.

Hector's mother sniffed and a look of disappointment came over her face.

It was a long time coming for Eloise and the others.

She was overjoyed to learn that they had settled in the country and thought she would see her grandchildren every day.

But Hector didn't want to live at home, so how could she not be disappointed?

But Hector's mother didn't say anything either.

After all, it's understandable that young people want to have a life of their own.

Rupert couldn't bear to see his mother's lost expression and spoke suggestively, "Brother, I found a number of villas for sale nearby the other day, do you think you should...?"

Eloise bent her elbow and bumped Hector without moving, she couldn't quite bear to let the old man down either.

Hector, of course, respected Eloise's wishes and agreed to buy a new house near the Rogers family straight away.

The villa is conveniently located just a few steps away from the Rogers family's yard.

Seeing this, Rupert also thought it was good, and with a wave of his hand, he simply bought another vacant villa as well, and at the same time suggested, "Brother, you see the yards of these villas are close to each other, right? Why don't we open up the courtyards?"

As he spoke, he fetched a pen and paper to show him, in case Hector could not understand.

Hector took a general sweep.

Presumably the wall that separates the cottages from each other will be knocked down and slightly renovated.

This way the yards are connected and it is possible to walk directly back to the Rogers family.

In this way they are both living separately, but in a way they are not separated.

Even Eloise thought the idea would work.

Hector naturally had no problem with the fact that his own daughter-in-law had agreed to it.

When Hector's mother found out, she was overjoyed.

Hector's father also laughed, "Now your mother won't have to wait every day to see when she can meet SweetySolomon!"

"I'm the one who came up with the idea."

Rupert held up a hand as if to take credit for it, and then came up to Aisly and said, "Daughter-in-law, don't you see how clever I am? This way, our daughter will be born without a playmate!"

Aisly laughed and nudged Rupert's forehead, saying, "How grown up are you to act like a child? And you're so sure it's a girl in your belly."

Rupert nodded solemnly and brushed one hand over Aisly's bulging belly.

"I've heard people say that if a pregnant woman has a round belly, she'll definitely have a girl! A pointed belly is a boy."

This drew a smile from the whole family.

The atmosphere is harmonious and welcoming.

The family gathers around the table ready for dinner.

As if remembering something, Rupert put down his chopsticks and spoke seriously, "Brother, I remembered something very important." Seeing the solemn look on Rupert's face, everyone cast a glance at him and waited for him to continue.

"What is it?" Hector asked.

"Brother, since you're back in the country, are you going back to your position as President of Rogers Group?" Rupert asked.

Perhaps in the eyes of others, the position of President of Rogers Group is highly sought-after, even coveted.

But God knows how tired he is from dealing with the company every day and not having much time for his wife at all!

Rupert is now desperate to get this post handed over in a hurry.

Then he concentrated on staying with his daughter-in-law while she was in labour.

Hector's father coughed lightly and put down the dishes in his hands.

Eloise and the others set their eyes on Hector's father again.

"As it happens, there's something I want to talk about too." Hector's father frowned, a serious expression not seen in a long time appearing on his face. A sense of foreboding rose in Rupert and he asked tentatively, "What, what is it?"

"I'm getting old and it's time to retire."

Hector's father sighed softly, and although his mouth was convincingly old, he couldn't hide the smile in his eyes.

"The chairmanship has also been entrusted to you, and the future of the Rogers Group depends on you two brothers!"

With that, Hector's father looked at the two brothers, Hector and Rupert, with a loving gaze.

This is clearly a move to take a back seat.

Rupert was all but dumbfounded straight away and muttered, "How so ..."

He was counting on dumping his post to Hector so he could concentrate on his daughter-in-law!

Compared to Rupert's incredulous face, Hector just laughed.

He was very supportive of Hector's father's decision: "It's not bad, Dad, you'll have more time to spend with Mum on trips." "Brother, you're really my own brother."

Rupert gave a sudden wail and looked at Hector accusingly.

Hector's father has naturally put in the time and effort to develop the Rogers Group to the point where it is today.

But this also meant that there was no extra time to spend with Hector's mother.

Not only does Rupert want to spend time with his daughter-in-law, but so does Hector's father.

So he simply took the opportunity to announce this as well.

At his eldest son's words, Hector's father smiled and nodded in relief before saying frankly, "I've been thinking that for a long time." With that he turned his head to look at Hector's mother again.

Rupert was directly silenced by this dog food.
