Chapter 892: Good cooperation, Mr Hector

"Pierce, this partnership is very important to us, nothing can go wrong! Otherwise, I will hold you accountable!"

When the caller finished, he simply hung up.

At this point, a cold sweat broke out on Pierce's back.

He didn't want to mess this up any more than anyone else, otherwise what he had to face when he returned could be a more painful ordeal than death.

Pierce then went to the bathroom, washed his face with water and straightened his grooming before returning to his table.

Pierce had adjusted himself, pulled back his chair and sat down, saying, "Mr Hector, in order for us to work better together, I can tell you about the use of our herbs."

Hector looked at him wistfully and gave a slight nod, gesturing for him to continue.

Pierce cleared his throat, "The reason for acquiring this batch of herbs is that our group has been developing a viral bacterium.

When used well, it can help boost one's immune system and even have the effect of transforming cells. As you know with many difficult diseases nowadays, the first thing that germs attack is the person's own immune system.

We have developed this germ which happens to be the nemesis of some toxic bacteria, it changes the action of the toxic bacteria in the body to achieve the effect we are looking for, which requires some ingredients of toxic herbs. But what we have added is just a little bit, it is only at the research stage at the moment and will definitely require large quantities of herbs. Once developed successfully, this will be a great saviour for a number of ailments and will certainly benefit mankind.

At these words, Hector is silent for a moment, his thumb dropping to the mouth of his glass and rubbing it slowly, weighing up whether Pierce's words are true or not.

Pierce smiled at his agreement and held out his hand, "Good cooperation, Mr Hector."

Meeting Pierce's somewhat disingenuous smile, Hector returned the grip and let go.

"I have business this afternoon, goodbye."

With those words, Hector picked up the cheque from the table and left the cafe.

Staring at Hector's departing back, Pierce's brow furrowed.

This man's identity is definitely not as simple as it seems, so it seems that we should keep a closer eye on him.

As he came out, Thomas, who had come with him, inquired in disbelief, "Prince, do we really have to supply such large quantities of poisonous herbs, what if they are used to harm people?" Thomas' words have been considered by Hector.

However, if they don't work with them this time, they won't have access to their institute, and then the germs on Eloise can't be removed.

So, he had to say yes.

Outside the window the sky is sinking, twilight is falling, and the clock hand is pointing to eight o'clock.

Inside Rogers Villa, the family has just finished dinner and Hector's mother and Eloise are playing with Sweety and Solomon.

The doorbell rang at that moment and Eloise was a little puzzled as to who would be at the door this late at night when everyone in the family had gone home. Eloise got up and headed out, pulled open the door, didn't see anyone outside, walked out and looked around, and didn't see anyone in sight. "Eh? No one?"

Just as she mumbled something and turned to enter, a pair of hands suddenly encircled her waist and brought her into a wide, warm chest.

She had a moment of panic and was about to struggle when she felt the familiar scent that wrapped around her and knew who it was.

Hearing the scolding in her words, Hector smiled and pinched her cheek, "I missed you so much, I just thought I'd get home soon, so I didn't get to tell you." Eloise couldn't help but blush as she took his hand in the door.

Sweety was having a good time when she heard the sound of footsteps coming from the front door, and her eyes lit up when she inclined her head to look. Striding on short legs, he rushed straight towards Hector, "Daddy!"

Hector's mother smiled at the sight and asked Hector about his business trip, then went upstairs to her room, leaving the living room downstairs to the four of them.

Hector replied one by one, then, sitting on the sofa with Sweety in his arms, he said deliberately, "I remember if someone disobeyed me before. Daddy was going to punish." Sweety sniffed and wrapped her arms around Hector's neck, pouting, "Daddy, Sweety's not being disruptive, she's always listened to Mommy!"

Seeing her ingratiating look, Solomon couldn't help but break it down, "I wonder who spilled the soup on her dress on purpose."
