Love Comes To Me
Chapter 930: Competition for the Heir

Halfway through the conversation, Edgar suddenly got up and headed out the door.

"Cousin, what's wrong with you?"

Eloise thought he was in some kind of hurry, but instead he turned back and said, "I'm going to get something." Then leave in a hurry.

About a few minutes later, he returned with a large bag.

"Is this wholesale for you?" Eloise's jaw dropped at the dozen bags, large and small, that had been placed on the floor.

"You always have to bring a gift for your first official visit." Edgar smiled with some sincerity.

Last time I came over, I was in a hurry and didn't know much about the situation, so I didn't have time to prepare anything.

It's always time to make up for it this time.

Eloise laughed helplessly, "Then you don't have to buy so much."

"Not much." Edgar said as he knelt down to look through the bags.

"Auntie, this is for you. I didn't know what you liked, so I picked out a silk scarf, and I hope you like it." He handed one of the bags to Hector's mother. Hector's mother was a little flattered, "I got a present too."

"Of course." Edgar nodded, then lifted another bag and handed it along, "Here's some tea for Uncle."

"You're a very polite boy."

Hector's mother's impression of Edgar rubs off on her.

The rest, apart from the gifts for a few other adults, were toys, with dolls and cars, Transformers ... several types of toys.

Even Solomon, who is always a stable man, could not help but get excited and could not let go of his favourite car.

Eloise was shocked to see so many toys, "How did you get them so many?"

"I buy what I see and I like it."

Edgar's answer left Eloise speechless.

"You'll spoil the two kids."

Even though the Rogers family had money, she never bought so many toys for her children because she was afraid that they would not appreciate them once they had more toys.

Seeing how happy the two children were, she couldn't say anything more, but could only say with a stern face Edgar, "It won't happen again."

Edgar smiled and nodded his head.

Afterwards, while the others weren't looking, Edgar went over to Hector and whispered, "The batch of herbs you ordered earlier, I've delivered them to Italy on time. It arrived yesterday and I should have told you about it, but I forgot about it in the rush."

There's been a lot going on with the Khan family lately, which has caused him to forget about it.

Hector smiled slightly, "I see, you've done a good job."

Secretly relieved by his compliment, Edgar smiled and said, "It's really nice to be able to help you out."

Eloise turned her head, looked at the two of them, frowned and asked suspiciously, "What are you talking about?"

"Work stuff." Edgar replied.

Eloise didn't doubt it either, "Let's not talk about work at home, let's talk about something lighter."

"Good."

Edgar and Hector looked at each other and the two didn't mention business again.

At dinner, the rest of the Rogers family welcomed Edgar and thanked him for the gifts he had bought, and for a while the atmosphere was electric. "Sister-in-law, your family is really genetically strong and all good-looking."

Rupert looked at Eloise, then at Edgar, and so lamented.

At that, Eloise smiled, "Thank you for the compliment."

"Then my daughter will be beautiful too." Rupert reached out and touched Aisly's bulging belly, "We have strong genes in our family too."

Eloise put down her chopsticks and looked at him, "I dare you to take a turn and compliment yourself."

Aisly slapped Rupert's hand away with a grimace, "Who says it has to be a daughter."

"It's definitely a daughter." Rupert sounded very sure of himself.

He really wanted to have a daughter as lovely and beautiful as Sweety and dreamed of it.

"I think it's the son." Aisly sang back at him deliberately.

"Daughter!"

Seeing that the two were about to argue, Hector's mother hurriedly spoke up to stop them, "Come on, your son and daughter are both your children, what are you arguing about, aren't there guests here?" "There are no guests, it's all our own people."

Edgar was somewhat flattered by Rupert's casual remark.

Although the Khan family is no less powerful than the Rogers family, Edgar was somewhat touched to have the Rogers family's approval, given the Khan family's current recent situation.

Eloise put some food in his bowl and joked, "Cousin, you're about the same age as Rupert, he's going to be a father, you need to work on that too." Edgar: "..."

How did the conversation turn to him all of a sudden.

The rest of the conversation revolved around the topic of introducing Edgar to someone, and the meal lasted nearly an hour before it was over.

After dinner, the others went about their business, leaving Eloise to sit and chat with Edgar in the living room.

"Eloise, I spoke to Grandpa about you guys going to see him and his old man meant for him to come over to City D himself."

...

Before dinner, Edgar called Grandpa Khan to report his visit to the Rogers family and his inability to return for dinner, mentioning in passing that Eloise and the others were going to Kyoto. "No need for them to come over, I'll go over."

Grandpa Khan had long wanted to visit the Rogers family and see for himself how the Rogers family treated his granddaughter.

It's just that there's been a lot going on recently and it's been delayed.

"Grandpa, your health ..."

It was a two to three hour drive from Kyoto to City D. He was afraid that the old man's body would not be able to withstand such a long journey. "I'm as tough as nails."

Probably trying to prove as much to him, the old man's voice became mid-sentence.

Edgar couldn't help but lose his smile, Grandpa was too cute too.

"You tell Eloise and the others that as soon as I've secured an heir over here, I'll go over to see her and the baby."

The smile on Edgar's lips faded at the word 'heir', "Yes, I'll tell her."

"Then take care on your way back."

After the admonition, the old man hung up the phone.

Edgar took down his phone, looking a little stoned.

...

"Grandpa's coming over himself?" Eloise wasn't too surprised; after all, Grandpa Khan had mentioned coming to City J last time. Still, she was a little worried, "Is he physically okay?"

Edgar smiled, "Don't worry, Grandpa will be fine with me."

"So when is he coming?"

"When the heir is determined."

Eloise frowned, "An heir?"

"Well." Edgar sighed and continued, "It's been a rough time for the Khan family, and it's about this heir thing."

Eloise's heart lifted as she saw his expression turn grave, "It's all about the heir, isn't it?"
