Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 938: None of the good guys
"Grandpa is still being resuscitated and here you are arguing, it will be ungrateful of you if this gets out." Edgar looked at them with a sullen, cold look.
"Edgar, how do you talk? Who's ungrateful?!" Clemon yelled at him in displeasure.
"Okay sister-in-law, it's that time of year, calm down, let's talk about what's going on when Dad comes out."
Baggott couldn't help but speak up as well, he sighed and then said, "Whatever the truth is, we have to respect Pa's wishes."
Although still resigned in their hearts, Clemon and the others were quiet.
Some things don't have to be rushed, or they will only backfire.
Arlice stared at the door of the operating theatre, a gloom in his eyes.
"Why is there such a big gap between people?"
Seeing that the Khan family had gone quiet, Eloise, standing aside, couldn't help but sigh softly.
Hector raised an eyebrow, "How so?"
Eloise turned her head to look at him and took a deep breath, "Both the Rogers family and the Khan family are gentry families, but in comparison, the Rogers family is amicable and friendly, while the Khan family ...' She paused, swept her eyes over a few of the Khan family and lowered her voice, "Each with their own agenda. None of them are good people, except for my brother-in-law's family."
If my mother hadn't left home in anger, I'm afraid she would have been caught up in this family feud.
She was right.
The Khan family is not at all like-minded and at the same time selfish, thinking only of their own interests, without any regard for kinship.
That is why Grandpa Khan decided to leave the family business in the hands of Edgar.
Because the entire Khan family, and only the Edgar family, is the most normal.
...
After several hours of resuscitation, the old man's life was saved, but he was still in a coma.
"The old man is old and has suffered such a severe impact, his situation is not very optimistic, for the time being he is not in danger of dying, but it is still unknown whether he will wake up." As soon as the doctor's words were spoken, a cry went up.
Eloise's brow furrowed fiercely and she turned her head to look over, only to see Silvia crying so hard.
"Dad, you have to live, the Khan family and we all need you." She cried as she spoke, grieving as if Grandpa Khan was no longer with us.
Eloise was sad too, but when she heard Silvia say that, she was a little angry, "Auntie, the doctor has said that there is no danger of death for the time being, what are you talking about?"
At her question, Silvia froze, perhaps not expecting her to say that.

But she quickly reacted, wiped her tears and grunted, "Who are you to question me with such an attitude, a junior? And don't forget, you are not from the Khan family and are not in charge of the Khan family's affairs." "What are you babbling about?!"
At these words, Devona's face changed and she apologised to Eloise, "Eloise, your second aunt was just too upset and said something out of turn, don't be angry with her."
When he finished, he turned his head and glared hard at his wife, lowering his voice and cursing, "Are you out of your mind? She is not a member of the Khan family, but she is a member of the Rogers family. If you offend the Rogers family, I don't think your son will ever think about the Khan Group again."
Silvia's body shook at the sound of it, yes, how could she have forgotten this?
So she apologised too, "Eloise, it's my second aunt who talks too much, don't take it personally."
Eloise doesn't want to deal with them, one by one, hypocritical as hell.
Baggott sighed darkly, then said to the doctor, "Please make sure you get my father well, no matter how much it costs we are willing."
The doctor nodded, "Mr Farabee, don't worry, we'll do our best."
When the doctor left, the ward was instantly quiet, the atmosphere was oppressive, everyone's face was grave, even Silvia who was crying earlier was standing peacefully by now. Grandpa Khan's face was pale and bloodless as he had various tubes in his body and an oxygen mask on his face.
It was hard to recognize my grandfather, but I had only met him once, and he was lying here motionless.
Tears came to my eyes.
Eloise bit her lower lip and tightened her grip on Hector's hand so hard she couldn't breathe.
After an unknown amount of time, Great Uncle Farabee was the first to speak up, "What about the Khan Group when Dad won't wake up for a while?"
A sneer appeared in Eloise's eyes when she heard this, and indeed it was mentioned again.
Don't they all have hearts?
Is Grandpa less important to them than the Khan Group?
"So what do you say, big brother?" Devona asked.
Farabee thought about it and said, "I think we can let Arlice run it for now."
This proposal was immediately opposed by the Devona family.
"No, it's going to be Goode as well. In my opinion, Goode is better than Arlice."
"Second brother, isn't that wrong? What do you mean Goode is better than Arlice, and I think you all know how much benefit Arlice has brought to the Khan Group over the years!" Clemon retorted back with defiance.
Seeing that they were about to get into another argument, Baggott shouted in a deep voice, "Enough! Dad's still lying there, so I'm begging you to feel sorry for him, okay? Don't talk about the Khan Group all the time!" Clemon snorted, "Sandi, stop pretending to be so noble here, don't you want Edgar to run the Khan Group?"
Baggott stared at her without answering.
"Great aunt." Edgar stepped forward, "Whether my father wants to or not, the least he could do as a son is not to bring it up on such an occasion."
The implication is that they are so unlikeable.
"You!"
Clemon was so angry at being taught one thing after another by a junior that he couldn't speak.
"All right, everyone, let's cut the chatter and we'll talk about what we have at home." Baggott, feeling more exhausted than ever, turned his head to look at the unconscious old man and sighed heavily. Now that the old man has fallen, there's no telling what kind of mess the Khan family will be in.
Eloise saw the sadness on her brother-in-law's face and her heart felt like it had been punched hard. She turned her head and said softly, "Hector, please help your cousin if you can."
The most important thing was to preserve the old man's life's work and not to let the Khan Group fall into the hands of the Farabee or Devona families.
Once one of them gets hold of the Khan Group, the Khan family will really fall apart.
Hector tightened his grip on her hand and nodded, "Don't worry, I'll help him." Whatever she asks, he will do.
"I thank you for my cousin." Eloise looked at him gratefully.
The old man needed peace and quiet and to avoid any more family arguments, Baggott left the family aunt and carer to look after the old man and the group went back to the Khan family.
The Khan Group's problems had to be resolved or else the others would be fighting endlessly and the Khan family would not be at peace.
"Why don't you come with us, cousin?" Edgar knew that the situation was complicated and he needed a strong backer.
And Hector is that backer.
Eloise nodded, "Yes, together."
