Love Comes To Me
Chapter 945: Sudden fainting

"Sweety!"

Eloise walked over quickly.

At the sound of her voice, Sweety, who was crying, immediately stopped and looked over.

When she saw it was her, she burst into louder and sadder tears.

"Baby don't cry." Eloise rushed to take her into her arms and kissed her forehead down, too distraught to hold back the tears that had fallen too. "You're finally back."

Hector's mother sighed in relief as she looked at Hector who had come in and then said, "Sweety has been crying for most of the day and can't be coaxed." There was no trace of impatience in her tone, only heartache and worry.

Hector stepped forward and touched Sweety's forehead, his sword brows furrowed, "What did the doctor say?" "The doctor said this is a high flu season and the child's resistance is not good, so he may not get well as quickly." Sweety fell asleep in Eloise's arms after crying her eyes out, her little cheeks still red.

Eloise gently stroked her head, heartache in her face and eyes.

"Actually, a shot would get better faster." Hector's mother said.

Eloise shook her head, not approving of the injection, "Let's take the medicine first, if the fever still doesn't go down."

Then she got up and went to the bathroom to wring out a hot towel and rub Sweety's body, trying to bring the fever down with physical cooling. Hector was afraid she would get tired and took the towel, "I'll do it, you go and sit down."

Eloise didn't refuse and dutifully went to sit next to her.

He glanced at her for a moment, then looked down and grabbed Sweety's small hand and gently wiped it, looking unusually focused.

Eloise's eyes rippled with a light softness as she looked at the side of his focused, austere face, the corners of her lips lifting slightly. It always feels particularly reassuring to have him around.

Hector's mother looked at her son and then at her daughter-in-law, smiled and withdrew sagely from the room.

...

Sweety slept through the morning and woke up in significantly better spirits.

Eloise took her temperature, which was not quite gone, but it wasn't that high anymore.

"Mummy, hungry."

Sweety looked at her accusingly.

Eloise stroked her head dotingly, "What do you want to eat? Mummy will make it for you herself."

Once she heard she was going to cook it, Sweety's eyes lit up, "I want to eat noodles."

"Okay, then Mummy will go and cook you some noodles."

Eloise told her to just stay in bed and not run around, then went downstairs herself.

"How's Sweety?" Hector's mother asked with concern when she saw her coming down.

"Fever's gone down a bit, spirits are fine."

At that, Hector's mother breathed a sigh of relief, "That's good."

The doctor's words made her worry that the baby's fever would not go down, but now it seemed like a blind worry.

"What are you going to do now?" Hector's mother asked again.

Eloise replied as she headed for the kitchen, "Sweety wants some noodles, I'll cook some for her."

"Do you need my help?" Hector's mother followed.

Eloise turned around and smiled slightly, "No, Mum. You should get some rest too, Sweety is sick and you're suffering with it."

Hector's mother didn't insist, "That's fine."

Hector had been busy in the study, taking care of the business at hand, and had just come down to be informed by the housekeeper that Miss Eloise was busy in the kitchen. The direction changed and headed towards the kitchen.

Walking outside the kitchen, I caught a glimpse of the slim, busy figure.

The cold, hard brow softened momentarily as he quietly walked up, "What's cooking?"

The sudden noise startled Eloise with a low, startled cry.

Turning back to see it was him, she glared at him, "Why did you walk without a sound, you scared me."

"What's cooking?" Hector glanced at the pot.

"Sweety said she wanted to eat the noodles I made." Eloise said back as she dropped noodles into the pot. Hector raised an eyebrow, "Got more than one?"

At that, Eloise looked at him askance with amusement, "What? You want some too?"

Hector did not answer.

His silence was tantamount to acquiescence.

Eloise laughed, "It's very light do you eat it too?"

"I'll eat whatever you make."

Well, another love line.

But it was a hit with Eloise, "Yes, I'll cook more."

Hector smiled back.

After the noodles were cooked, Eloise served the bowl and then said to Hector, "You can have the rest."

"I'll serve it."

Hector took the bowl from her hand, fearing that she might burn it.

"Aren't you going to eat?" Eloise asked.

"I'll go up and check on Sweety first."

The two went upstairs together and Sweety saw them, a big smile immediately blossoming on her somewhat pale little face. "Daddy, Mummy."

Hector put the bowl down and reached out to touch her forehead.

"It's receded a bit." Eloise said in an aside.

"Finish your noodles, then take your medicine." Hector withdrew his hand.

Eloise said "hmmm", then picked up the bowl, sat on the edge of the bed and began to feed Sweety.

Suddenly, she noticed that Hector was still standing unmoving.

She couldn't help but smile helplessly, "I'm fine here on my own, go downstairs and eat the noodles, they won't taste good if they sit for long." "I'll stay with you."

Eloise burst out laughing, "No need for company, just go and eat, I'll be down as soon as I've fed Sweety."

At her insistence, Hector could only turn around and go out.

But as soon as he left the room, there was a "pop" behind him, followed by Sweety's shriek.

"Mummy!"

Hector's face changed and he immediately rushed back in.

Eloise was seen collapsed on the floor next to the bed, spilling pasta all over the floor.

"Eloise!"

Hector also called her name nervously and took a big step forward, picking her up in his arms. Hector's parents arrived at the sound of the noise and saw Hector carrying the man outside. "What's going on here?" Hector's mother asked.

"Mom, watch Sweety."

Hector didn't answer, dropping the words and walking quickly down the stairs.

"What the hell is going on here?" Hector's mother was worried sick.

"Don't worry, let's get Sweety taken care of first."

As soon as Hector's father said that, Hector's mother remembered Sweety in the room and rushed in. Sweety sat frozen on the bed.

"Sweety," Hector's mother said as she hurried over to him.

At the sound of her voice, Sweety looked up at her and burst into tears with a loud "wow".

Hector's mother rushed to hold her and gently coaxed, "Sweety is not crying, Sweety is not afraid."

Hector's father called for the maid to clean up the spilled noodles and then looked at Sweety, who was cradled in his wife's arms, with distress.

"The boy should be scared."

Hector's mother sighed as she patted the child's back, "What do you think this is all about?"

The child is still sick and the adult has fallen.

It's been a restless day and a restless one.

"Don't think so much about it, it'll be fine." Hector's father patted her shoulder reassuringly. Sweety's temperature went up again, scaring Hector's parents into calling the family doctor.

The temperature only came down slowly after a fever-reducing injection.

This scared Hector's mother enough to sit on the edge of the bed, looking at Sweety, who was already asleep, and sighed heavily at the image of her son holding Eloise. "Fletcher, I feel I need to ask Eloise for a peace charm, it's been a really rough year for her."

Hector's father didn't believe this, but thinking of Eloise's situation, nodded, "Indeed."

The two elderly men couldn't help but worry about Eloise's health.
