Love Comes To Me
Chapter 955: Shameless!

Although his eyes were on Eloise the whole time, Hector didn't forget to call out politely as he walked up to them, "Little Aunt." Brimlad returned a smile, "Here we go."

She turned her head to look at Eloise, "You guys get over there early, Edgar should be waiting for you right there."

Hector said 'yes' and took Eloise's hand.

"Auntie, let's go. You go back and be careful." Eloise said.

Brimlad smiled, "I know."

He watched them leave before Brimlad called his driver to come and pick himself up.

...

Getting into the car, Eloise tugged at her shawl, pursed her lips, turned her head to look at the man in the driver's seat and asked tentatively, "Is this too much for me?" Hector did not answer.

Eloise couldn't help but frown, "What? Doesn't it look good?"

She didn't notice the flicker of a ghostly light under Hector's eyes, and suddenly there was a darkness before her eyes and a tightness around her waist.

Before he could react, a warmth plugged his lips.

Wildly plundering and extremely lingering.

Just as Eloise felt like she was about to break, he let go of her, a light shining in his dark, deep eyes.

It made Eloise's heart flutter.

Eloise gulped subconsciously as rough fingers gently brushed her lips.

His low, raspy voice rang out in the quiet carriage.

"It's beautiful tonight."

With that one word, Eloise's body shuddered and her lips curved up, "You're handsome too."

"I really don't want you to go to the party."

He just wanted to hide the little woman in front of him at home and enjoy herself.

Eloise is afraid that if this goes on, she might not be able to go to the party at all.

So she waved his hand away and pretended to be calm, "Well, let's get going. Otherwise cousin is waiting impatiently."

Hector knew her little thoughts and smiled, then started the car and headed for the hotel where the party was being held.

...

Tonight's charity gala gathered all of Kyoto's celebrities, and the Khan family, as one of Kyoto's leading families, were almost all present.

Edgar stood in the lobby on the ground floor of the hotel, looking out every now and then.

"Edgar, what are you doing here?"

The Farabee family were a little surprised to see him when they came in.

"Great-uncle, great-uncle." Edgar nodded politely.

"Aren't you going up there?" Farabee asked.

"I'm waiting for Eloise and Hector."

Edgar's answer stunned the Farabee family.

"They're coming too?" Farabee asked, puzzled.

Edgar smiled slightly and asked instead of answering, "Couldn't they have come?"

"That's not what I meant." Farabee hastened to explain, "I just didn't know they had an invitation too."

"Uncle and aunt, you guys go up first." Edgar didn't want to talk too much to them and spoil the fun.

Farabee and her son exchanged a look before smiling, "Let's wait too. A family should just attend as a whole."

A family.

Edgar sneered inwardly. If Eloise hadn't married Hector, I'm afraid they wouldn't have recognized Eloise as their niece.

He didn't bother with them, they could wait as long as they liked.

A little later, the Devona family arrived and, like Farabee and the others, stayed behind to wait once they heard that Hector and the others were coming.

So there were nearly a dozen people standing in the hotel lobby, each one looking out, eagerly awaiting.

Eloise and Hector arrived at the hotel and saw Edgar and the others as soon as they entered.

A look of surprise crossed Eloise's eyes at the sight of the others.

Why are they all there?

"Hector, Eloise, you're finally here." Farabee was the first to greet them.

"Great-Uncle." Eloise called out good-naturedly.

"Come on up when you're here." Farabee said with a smirk.

Hector ignored him and led Eloise straight ahead.

"Hector, Eloise, let's go this way." Edgar said as he came over and pointed in the direction of the lift.

Everyone else was ignored, and everyone's face was wonderful.

"Dad, Mom, why are we waiting for them when they won't even look at us?" Herrin grumbled disgruntledly.

"What do you know?" Devona glared at him, "Who the hell is Hector? If we can rope him in, we'll be on top of the Khan Group."

"Straddling the line?" Herrin snorted disdainfully.

Isn't Hector on Edgar's side now?

But Edgar is not yet struggling at the Khan Group.

But...

Herrin stared at the already distant figure of Eloise and licked his lips, having to say that this cousin of his was very good looking. "I'm telling you, don't get any thoughts you shouldn't have." Goode saw what he was thinking and warned him in a whisper.

Herrin grunted, "My business is none of your business."

With those words, he strides forward.

The rest of the group hurried to follow.

The evening was decorated in understated luxury, with bright lights and glamorous clothes.

As soon as Hector and Eloise walked in, they were immediately the centre of attention.

"Who are they?" Someone made a puzzled sound.

"I don't know. This man is so handsome!"

"And what a beautiful woman he has with him."

With all sorts of gasps and murmurs in her ears, Eloise subconsciously grabbed Hector's hand.

She hadn't been in a public place like this for a while and was suddenly uncomfortable being stared at like this. It was really uncomfortable to be stared at naked like that. Edgar led them to the side of the venue.

"Mr Edgar," someone came up to say hello.

The man looked at Hector, then turned to Edgar and said, "Mr Edgar, why does this look familiar to me."

Edgar laughs, "He's my Hector, Hector."

"Hector," the man repeated the name and whirled around with wide eyes, "You are Hector!"

The man wiped his hands and then held them out, "Hello Mr Hector, I've heard a lot about you."

Hector shook his hand, "Hello."

Some people recognised Hector and came over to say hello too.

Within minutes, a crowd had gathered around Hector.

The corners of Eloise's mouth twitched, and sure enough, the man at her side was the one who stood out the most wherever she went.

"If you don't like it, go rest next to it and wait for me." Hector whispered in her ear.

"Good."

Eloise went to sit down alone on a sofa in the corner and she looked around the whole party scene, which was lively.

But the buzz was a bit out of place for her.

She couldn't help but think of her grandfather and mother in the hospital and couldn't help but feel a little mixed emotions.

"Cousin Eloise, isn't it boring to be alone?"

Suddenly, a droning voice rang in the ears.

Eloise turned her head to follow the sound.

Herrin came over and looked at her with a smile, "Do you want me to keep you company for a bit?"

Today he was dressed in a white suit and looked fairly human, but that over-indulgent face was still uncomfortable.

"No need." Eloise refused coldly.

She didn't want to get too involved with him.

"Don't."

Herrin sat down directly beside her.

Almost the same instant Eloise stood up, "Sit yourself down cousin."

With those words, she lifted her steps and was about to leave.

A gloom flashed under Herrin's eyes and he stopped in front of her with an arrow step.

"You're not giving me face, cousin." Herrin changed his smile from earlier and looked at her with a somewhat sombre face. "No, you're mistaken."

Eloise tried to get around him, but he just stopped her from getting past.

Finally, she relented and rebuked, "Get out of the way!"

Herrin smiled, not hiding the leer in his eyes as he looked her up and down, "Cousin, I like you just the way you are." "Shameless!" Eloise cursed.

She pushed him away with force.

The next second, the arm is grabbed.
