Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 956: It's All My Fault
"What are you doing? Let go of me!" Eloise struggled hard, trying to break his grip.
But the power gap between men and women was so great that she was no match for Herrin.
"Hector!"
With no choice but to shout out.
But with the noise of people around and the corner, her voice was drowned out and Hector, who was talking to someone, didn't even hear her.
"They can't hear it." Herrin smiled smugly.
"Herrin! I am your cousin, are you mad?" Eloise glared angrily at the man in front of her.
She had noticed that he was looking at her wrong, she just hadn't thought about it deeply, but she hadn't expected him to be so bold as to hit on her right here.
"I just want you to talk, it's not like I'm doing anything."
Looking at Herrin's smiling face creeped Eloise out and she struggled once more, "Get off me now!"
"My good cousin, don't do that, I'll be sad."
Herrin pulled her closer to him with one force, then lowered his head.
Eloise shuddered, subconsciously closing her eyes and struggling hard. "Ah!"
The screams suddenly rang out.
Eloise felt a relief in her hands and hurriedly opened her eyes only to see Herrin on the floor.
"Shame on you!"
A pretty looking girl walked up to her and snorted disdainfully at Herrin on the floor.
Eloise responded, "... You helped me?"
The girl turned her head to look at her and gave a noncommittal shrug.
"Thanks." Eloise was busy thanking him, "I don't know what I would have done if it wasn't for you?"
The girl Sweety smiled, "No need to thank you. I hate to see a girl get aggravated."
"Who are you? How dare you meddle in my prince's business!" Herrin climbed to his feet and glared angrily at the girl.
The girl snorted, "I don't care who you are, it's not right for you to bully!"
"She's my cousin, how could I possibly bully her?" Herrin slyly argued.
"Cousin?" The girl was a little surprised.
What she had just seen did not look like the kind of relationship he was talking about.
Eloise knew what she was surprised about and explained helplessly, "It's true that I'm his cousin, but it's also true that he has bad intentions."
The girl's eyes widened in shock as she turned her head to look at Herrin and shook her head tsk-tsk, "You're practically an animal to attempt to do that to your own cousin..." She didn't even dare to go down the list because it was too dirty.
"I ... won't let you guys off the hook." Herrin glared viciously at Eloise, then walked away in a dusty manner.
"Scum, beast!" The girl cursed at his back.
Eloise was relieved to have help or she would have been in trouble.
"Stay away from that man in future."
The girl turned around and was about to leave with that statement.
"Wait." Eloise called out to her hastily.
"Hmm?" The girl turned around.
Eloise stepped forward, extended her right hand and raised her lips in a smile, "Hello, I'm Eloise."
The girl raised her eyebrows slightly and took her hand in hers, "Earlene Bartram."
"I really thank you for today, if it wasn't for you, I would have been miserable."
Eloise is still a little distraught at the thought of what has just happened.
Earlene Bartram laughed, "If you ever meet someone like that again, hit them hard, okay?"
"I know." Eloise nodded.
"Eloise," Hector said as he approached.
"Hector," Eloise said, looking over at him happily.
Earlene's eyes flickered when she saw Hector and quickly regained their composure.
"Eloise, this is ..." she said with a probing look at Eloise.
"He's my husband." Eloise took Hector's hand and smiled sweetly as
Earlene's eyes widened in surprise, "You're married?"
"Yeah, and already a mother of two." Eloise coyly smoothed the tangled hair at her cheeks behind her ear. Earlene laughed softly, "I can't tell."
Eloise suddenly remembered something and turned to Hector, "Miss Earlene just helped me."
"Help?" Hector frowned.
Eloise told him what had just happened.
After hearing this, Hector's entire face darkened and the temperature around him swished down several degrees. Is that Herrin tired of living?
"So it was Miss Earlene who turned up just in time to save me, and we should thank her properly."
Hector suppressed the anger that was churning inside him and nodded at Earlene, "Thank you for saving Eloise." Earlene returned a smile, "You're welcome. Anyone would have helped out no matter who was in this situation." "Miss Earlene, why don't you leave your contact details and I'll buy you dinner some day." Eloise said. Earlene refused, but Eloise was insistent.
In desperation, the two men left each other a phone number.
After saving the number, Eloise smiled contentedly, "I'll contact you some time."
Earlene nodded her head without saying anything.
She glanced at Hector and curled her lips in a smile, "I'll leave you to it."
Having said that, without waiting for Eloise's reaction, he turned and walked away.
"Not only are you beautiful, but you have such a kind heart."
Watching Earlene's back, Eloise turns to Hector and asks, "Do you think so?"
Hector did not speak, his dark eyes locked on her small face.
Eloise bit her lip and lowered her head, "I didn't know it would happen like that."
Hector stepped forward, reached out and took her into his arms and whispered, "If someone hadn't helped you, you'd be ... now"
A chill came over me as I said this.
He didn't dare say any more.
"It's all my fault."
The hand around her couldn't help but tighten and regret was written all over his face.
He should not have left her alone, he should have stayed with her.
If something happened to her today, he would never forgive himself for the rest of his life.
"It has nothing to do with you, you're not to blame."
Eloise hugged him, rested her head on his chest and said softly, "Hector, this was an accident today, don't blame yourself."
Hector didn't say anything, just held her tightly.
In any case, he would never let Herrin go.
...
Edgar saw the two embracing from afar and smiled helplessly, a smile laced with a hint of envy.
What he will also meet his other half?
"Mr Edgar."
As he was thinking about it, an abrupt voice suddenly sounded in his ears and woke him up.
He turned his head and it was the host of the party - Rawlins Bartram.
"Hello, Mr Rawlins."
"Didn't you say you were going to introduce me to someone tonight?" Rawlins asked with a smile.
"That's right. It's just that..." Edgar glanced subconsciously in Hector's direction of them and continued, "It might be a bit inconvenient right now." Rawlins followed his line of sight and was a little surprised to see the two people embracing each other, "They're the ones you're introducing?" "Well, my cousin Eloise, and... her husband Hector."
The Rawlins were even more surprised to hear "Hector", "Mr Hector of the Rogers Group, Hector?"
"Well, it's him."
As soon as the answer was confirmed, Rawlins said, "Then get them over here, I'd like to get to know Mr Hector as well."
He looked a little excited and Edgar was a little unresponsive.
"Come on, why are you standing around?" Rawlins urged.
"Oh." Edgar responded, "I'm going to go over and get them."
At Rawlins' gaze, Edgar walked towards Hector and the others. "Ahem."
As soon as he approached, Edgar coughed softly.
Hearing the sound Eloise hurriedly pushed Hector away and looked around, "Cousin."
