Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 964: Can you be trusted?
Brimlad really felt for Eloise and his eyes were red.
Eloise could only repeat over and over again to reassure her and tell her she was fine.
"If something like this happens again in the future, make sure you tell us at the first opportunity. We'll definitely do it for you!" Brimlad gripped her hand tightly.
"Okay, Auntie, I got it." Eloise nodded heavily.
Everyone's heart was a little heavy after what had been a nice dinner was ruined by the Goode brothers.
The following day, Eloise and Brimlad took the two children to the hospital with them.
On the way, Eloise cautioned, "Auntie, don't tell my mother about that one."
"I know. Even if you hadn't warned me, I wouldn't have said anything." Brimlad patted her hand.
"Thank you brother-in-law."
Brimlad gave her a feigned look of displeasure, "What's with the thank yous."
Eloise smiled and said nothing more.
When she arrived at the hospital, Maryam saw Solomon and Sweety and a surprised smile instantly burst onto her otherwise slightly pale face, "OMG Solomon and Sweety, my little ones are here!" "Grandma."
Solomon and Sweety ran towards her.
They thought of what their mother had explained, that Grandma was not well enough to be carried by her, so they ran up to her and suddenly braked sharply, Sweety shouted.
"Good girl." Maryam bent down to give them a hug, then looked up at Eloise.
"How did they get here?"
"It just happened to be a holiday, so Hector brought them over for a few days."
"So that's it." Maryam nodded, "This is a hospital, don't leave them too long, it's not good."
Children already have low resistance and it would be bad if they caught any germs in such places.
Eloise smiled, "Mum, don't worry, we'll leave later."
She patted the two children's shoulders and said softly, "You guys stay with Grandma for a chat while I go and see Grandpa Tai."
"Mummy, I'm going too." Solomon said.
As soon as he said this, Sweety immediately followed, "I want one too."
"This ..." Eloise was in a difficult position, Grandpa was not well and she was afraid it would scare the two children.
At this point, Brimlad said, "Go on, show them."
The two children will only be over here for a few days and if they don't see each other this time, they may not see each other after ....
Brimlad's heart can't help but feel heavy when he thinks about it.
Eloise nodded helplessly, "OK, let's go."
She walked out of the ward with a child in one hand.
After watching them go out, Maryam turned to Brimlad and curbed her smile, "Brimlad, yesterday second brother and sister-in-law came to the hospital."
At these words, Brimlad's heart thudded, and he immediately understood what his brother and sister-in-law had come for.
"Did they say anything?" Brimlad asked tentatively.
"Says he's here to apologise to Eloise, seems Eloise and Herrin got into a confrontation."
Maryam's brow furrowed, "What kind of conflict do you think they'll get into?"
Brimlad thought about it for a moment and smiled, "They're all young people, probably had a few bad arguments. You should leave that alone, the young people will sort it out themselves." "Is that it?" Maryam always felt it wasn't that simple.
"Of course it is." Brimlad laughed, "How serious did you think it was otherwise? Well, let's forget about that and get breakfast out of the way."
She then turned around, secretly relieved, and then lifted a step to bring the thermos over.
...
In Grandpa Khan's ward, it is very quiet and the only sounds that can be heard are the instruments working.
When Sweety saw the old man lying motionless on the hospital bed, she asked in a milky voice, "Mummy, is Grandpa Tai asleep?"
"Well, asleep."
Eloise couldn't help but have a sore nose and hurriedly took a deep breath and said to them, "Grandpa is asleep, so you two behave yourselves, okay?"
"Uh-huh." Solomon and Sweety nodded their little heads obediently.
Eloise stroked their heads tenderly before turning her head to the old man and murmuring, "Grandpa, I've brought Solomon and Sweety to see you, you must get well soon." Said the man, unable to stop the tears falling down his face.
"Mummy, you're crying." Solomon noticed.
As soon as Sweety heard this, she padded over to take a look, cocking her little head, full of innocence, "Mommy, why are you crying, are you sad?"
Eloise wiped her tears and shook her head with a smile, "No."
She took them into her arms and whispered, "You also talk to Grandpa, he will surely wake up soon when he hears you."
"Really?" The two little ones looked at her with shining eyes.
She smiled and nodded, "Really."
So the two little ones flopped down onto the bed.
"Grandpa, Daddy says you are very good at chess, Solomon wants you to teach me how to play chess, so when you wake up you must teach me oh. We have a deal." Solomon gently touched the old man's finger, a sort of hook to make a pact.
Sweety cocked her head and thought hard about what to say.
She thought and thought, probably because she couldn't think of anything to say, so she said in a milky voice, "Grandpa, Sweety likes you very much, and when you wake up, you will play house with Sweety." Hearing this, Solomon frowned like a young adult, "How can Grandpa play house with you when he's the elder?"
"I don't care, I want Grandma to play with me." Sweety was insistent.
Eloise put her arms around her, "Okay, I'll play with you when Grandma wakes up."
The three of them, mother and son, spoke to Grandpa Khan for a while longer and then went back to Maryam's ward.
Maryam was having breakfast and saw them and waved, "Solomon, Sweety come here, Grandma has something delicious here."
As soon as they heard that there was food, the two little ones ran over to them.
Maryam took a snack for each of them and said lovingly, "Eat slowly."
"Mum, they've eaten." Eloise was a little bemused.
"It's okay for kids to eat more when they're growing up."
As she watched the two children eat happily, she was also happy to see them finish the large bowl of porridge in a rare moment. "Eloise, don't you still have to take the kids to play?" Brimlad asked as he packed.
"I'm waiting for Hector to come and pick us up."
Eloise said, glancing down at her watch and frowning slightly, it was almost ten o'clock, why hadn't Hector come yet?
Meanwhile, the Khan Group.
"Did he really say that?"
Hector sits on the sofa, his long legs folded, his long fingers tapping on the armrest.
"He did clearly express his desire to work with us." Edgar said.
Hector lowered his eyes in contemplation for a moment and asked in a deep voice, "How about the Bartram family, can they be trusted?" "On par with the Khan family, but with one advantage over the Khan family."
"Hmm?"
"They have their own researchers who are said to have poached talent from other countries."
Hector narrowed his eyes slightly, pondering.
Edgar continued, "I see the Rawlins are being sincere, perhaps we can say yes."
At that, Hector looked up at him, "Are you sure?"
