Chapter 31

Julia was chattering away as she spoke about Anastasia's pregnancy. She and David had started courting quite seriously and the conversion about their blossoming relationship had quickly gone back to Anastasia when she offhandedly mentioned the good news.

"They all cannot believe the truth, two wombs as well as three pups. But looking at your wolf and your hair, it's not hard to believe. You are kind of a myth in surrounding packs now. How can such a wolf exist?" Julia exclaimed as she brushed Anastasia 's hair. Her hair was longer now it's past her nape.

The pack was still so astounded by her carrying three pups that when her two wombs got announced everyone was flabbergasted. Anastasia stayed inside for the announcement because she felt too unwell to go out, she wasn't nauseous, but carrying three pups still had an effect on her body.

"I know, but I hope they don't think this is all lies," Anastasia was a little worried about that.

"No, your hair is enough proof that you are magical my darling Anna," Julia reassured her. "Everyone is just excited, to be honest."

That was all that needed to be said to calm Anastasia 's ever worrying mind about her pregnancy.

She was in his third month, halfway through her pregnancy, when he first met another pack leader. The moonfire pack was arriving later that day to settle their agreements, and for formalities, they were a pack that the Sinclair were keen on getting onto really good terms with because of the roads going through their land. They owned the area between two mountainous territories, which Anastasia had passed through to arrive here. The roads were a key area for travel, and as of now, we're free to use by any pack. There had been tensions with other packs though, so the Sinclair were adamant on re- securing their alliance to keep that road available,if not trade for them would be even more difficult.

Anastasia waited at the entrance of the compound as the group of travelers stopped at the gate, all of them descending from their horses to walk a few meters to the door. The omega watched the group curiously, his wolf perking up at the faint woodland smell of one of them. Her mates glanced at him for a second at her attentive posture, eyeing the group closely.

As the leader of the Moonfire pack descended from his horse to walk over and greet them, Anastasia nearly fainted from shock. It was Hendrix! The side profile was unmissable, it was her brother. The alpha was busy getting his horse settled and handing it off to one of his companions to hear Anastasia 's loud gasp.

The omega couldn't stay back anymore, she needed to move forward. It would take forever for Hendrix to come close, and by that time the omega would be too emotional. Escaping the twin's hold on her by shaking off their intertwined hands, she ran forward towards the unsuspecting alpha, causing her mates to shout at her in shock. His belly was getting quite big now with three pups, the alphas were worried about anything and everything she did. It was quite a lot of effort to sprint that short distance with her current state, but the adrenaline pumping through her body made everyone pass by in a blur, the only thing in focus being Hendrix. Her brother. Her savior. His first true friend.

"Hendrix," she shrieked as she ran towards the elder, barreling into his arms the minute the alpha turned towards her direction. The said alpha looked up in shock before a weight pressed completely against him, standing frozen at the unexpected action. He blinked for a second to compose himself before looking down, recognizing the scent immediately. Hesitantly, he wrapped his hands around the familiar figure, a wave of emotions passing through his body.

"Anna baby?" He called tentatively, meeting the omega's gaze. His baby sister looked so different now. Her face was much fuller and she was glowing, her hair no longer hidden and was long, a thin fringe covering her forehead as two loose braids were weaved on the sides of her face. She looked so much better than four and a half years ago. So much had changed.

"Brother!," she whimpered up, burying her face in the elder's chest and the strong arms encased her. Hendrix must be so confused as to what she was doing here, but Anastasia was the opposite. In the four years he had gone, Hendrix must've managed to become the leader of a powerful pack. Four years. Loyalty took years to form, yet her brother managed to secure himself a powerful spot so quickly. She always knew her brother would achieve greatness, it was a huge disappointment to their pack when he left in pursuit of his mate, the loss astounding. Their hunts had no longer been as successful, and neither was the leadership.

Anastasia wanted to know about Hendrix's mate, whether he found them or not, but she had time. They were staying for a week.

She smelt the twins come up right behind her, confused and jealous over her actions. They had no idea that Hendrix was his long-lost brother, so they were not happy. Any second now, a brawl could happen. The aggressive pheromones they were releasing were not good, so she reluctantly detached herself from her big brother and walked back into their arms, keeping an eye on her brother the whole time.

"My love, my heart, this is Hendrix. He's my brother," she introduced. Hendrix looked at her in confusion, he had missed a lot of his baby Sisters life. His eyes shifted between the two alphas and his sister, connecting the dots in his head. The twins changed their angered expressions to be more subdued, understanding what was going on. Hendrix was not a threat, their mate trusted him with her life. They both had heard a lot about him from Anastasia, how the alpha looked after his little sister and protected her from the others.

"Pleasure to meet you Hendrix," Leo spoke tersely, putting an arm around the omega and settled a hand on her stomach, rubbing it out of habit. Hendrix eyed everything, taking it all in. He hadn't felt the bump when they hugged, too immersed in Anastasia's presence to take anything else in. It was a shock to see how far she had come even though he had not presented long ago.

"So you two are mated to my Sister? And are expecting a pup?" Hendrix eyed Anastasia, his brotherly instincts kicking in. The Sinclairs' were good people, but he had never met them personally, and now his baby sister was mated to two of them. Anastasia nodded vigorously back at him, eyes dancing with happiness.

"I have so much to tell you Henny, I am so happy," she smiled at her brother. Her heart was slowly becoming fuller. Hendrix gave her a tight-lip smile, trying to take everything in. There was so much he wanted to know.

"Alpha," a voice called out behind Hendrix to show an omega holding a pup in his arms. The omega was a male, face bright and smile wide as he gazed at all of them from a little distance. The pup in his arms was around two, a female who was sucking on an apple slice. Her face was round and cute but had Hendrix's unmissable eyes. Anastasia gasped in shock, quickly morphing into excitement.

"So you found him," Anastasia felt tears brimming in her eyes, unable to take so much good news at once. She was so happy, happy for her brother, her mates, herself. Hendrix nodded back with a bigger grin, bringing his omega under his arm. "Shall we all head in," Logan interrupted, reaching down to lift her and carry her inside. Anastasia demanded to go back to Hendrix the minute they had gotten settled into their guestroom, wanting to know as much as possible. Dinner was in an hour, but she couldn't wait, she wanted to know everything right at that moment. Leo Carried her there, knowing how important this reunion was for her. Logan followed behind, wanting to know as well.

"Henny,” she said excitedly, barging into the room. Hendrix looked up from his suitcase and smiled at her, faltering a little when he saw the alphas near her. It was a classic alpha thing to do, to start posturing and checking each other out for any signs of weaknesses.

She imagined how Hendrix felt about knowing that his omega sister was no longer single like he had thought, and on top of that, pregnant. It was a pretty big shock with how young the omega still was. Hendrix had some negative feelings over the twins even if they were fine.

"Hey Annababy," he greeted casually when the omega entered the room. She was still a little tired from running towards the alpha earlier, all the adrenaline had worn off and her knees were hurting again.

The alpha didn't pay too much attention to her mates, it was going to be awkward for a little while. She was just glad that both sides were civil and didn't posture too much as most alphas did in such situations;

"I couldn't wait to see you again. I want to talk to you about everything right now," Anastasia wasn't known for her patience, and Hendrix knew this well. "Okay, let's just sort out Selena first," Anastasia felt his eyes enlarge as he saw Hendrix pick up his daughter. It was such a sweet sight to see as he put on her shoes and sorted her out a little. She felt a little emotional at seeing her brother interacting with his family, knowing that soon it would be her turn as well.

His mate, the omega with the friendliest face and the brightest of smiles came over from where he had been in the bathroom seconds ago whilst Hendrix was preoccupied.he was so pretty

"My name is Aiden," the omega greeted her, Anastasia smiled back and assessed the omega. She could never imagine her toned-down all black brother with such a colorful omega but in a way, they fit. She could tell by the way they moved around each other that they were very comfortable in their relationship and more subdued, compared to how Anastasia was still in her honeymoon phase with the twins. "Hendrix was so eager to replace you. I want to know exactly how you met and everything. He's wanted his mate for so long." The elder omega just grinned as he stared at his alpha, who avoided eye contact. It was a fact though, judging by Selena's age, Hendrix found his mate pretty quickly.

"Well I want to know about your mates too", Hendrix added in. "You have two somehow, and are pregnant with one of their children."
