Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew)
Chapter 3436 Expelling the Toxins

Early the next morning, strange sounds echoed across the northern dock. "Hiss-ah!"

"Ugh!"

"Bring it on, I won't make a sound-ah!"

Cries of pain filled the air, one after another.

Bare-chested men stood in line, each with someone behind them holding syringes for injections. Matthew and Mack observed from the sidelines, watching the scene unfold.

"It's working, Matteo!" Mack exclaimed, feeling a dampness on his back. He looked at his fingers and saw blackened blood.

Matthew observed the process carefully. A silver needle was embedded in the Gorgon Brand on Mack's back, and the needle's exposed end steadily seeped black blood. This was the contaminated blood and toxins being drawn out from Mack's system. For a swift removal of the brand, there was no other way.

The sharp pricking on his back was barely noticeable to someone like Mack, who'd wrestled wild tigers in the past.

Seeing the excitement on Mack's face, Matthew smiled and nodded. "Once the toxins are fully expelled, I'll apply a special ointment. After a few days of treatment, it should be completely healed."

One by one, the dockworkers began noticing changes.

"I can feel something happening!"

"This black blood... I think the brand on my back is fading!"

A cheer went up among the dockworkers.

In truth, the appearance of "fading" was an illusion. The scars left by the hot iron branding were damage to the skin itself and unrelated to the toxins. But once the toxins were fully expelled, skin repair would be possible.

Half an hour later, all the dockworkers had expelled the toxins, though the loss of blood left them looking a bit pale.

Each man straightened up, shoulders squared, and looked proudly at Matthew.

A particularly robust man stepped forward, addressing Matthew with respect. "Mr. Larden, this brand has haunted as for over a year, a painfu

freed as from a burden that's

reminder of our captivity fine

weighed on our hearts for sodong. From this day forward, you're our second-in-command. When you say jump, we'll only ask, 'How high?""

One by one, the men knelt on one knee, fists over their hearts as they pledged loyalty to Matthew.

Matthew was momentarily taken aback, then spoke, "Thank you, brothers. If you're willing to follow me, then, Matteo, will watch over you. But I hope we stick to certain principles. Our guild, the Veiled Assembly, won't go looking for

trouble-but we won't back down if it comes our way, either."

After Matthew spoke, he glanced at Mack, who nodded, recalling their discussion the night before. Stepping forward, Mack raised his voice to the crowd. "Starting today, we officially establish our guild the Veiled Assembly. I, Mack Hancock, will serve as chief, with Matteo Larden as deputy chief. Who's in favor?"

"We're with you, Chief!" the men roared in unison, their combined enthusiasm and energy palpable.

Until now, Mack hadn't formally declared the guild's establishment. Though they'd called him "chief," it was only in spirit. Now, their guild was officially born. "Long live Chief Hancock! Long live Deputy Chief Larden!"
