Chapter 1223 Sherry grinned as she got up from the couch and headed to the dining table. After setting up all the dishes on thetable, she sat down and started eating happily.

The reason why she wanted to return to her quarters was to reach her phone to contact Sylvia so that her friend could help herescape the Stocktons’ residence.

John was obviously keeping her in the house as his backup lover.She had tolerated it before the man got married, but now, she could not bear it for another day.

Meanwhile, in Stockton Tower on the other end of the city, the handsome man had just woken up and was eating breakfast bythe window.

His phone was connected to a recorder hidden in his house and it was currently playing the conversation on speaker. The talkinghad stopped and was replaced by the noise of chewing and gobbling.

The man grinned as he picked up a piece of toast and took a bite of it.

Sherry went back to sleep after breakfast and started munching on snacks as soon as she woke up.The day went by in the blink of an eye.

After the sun set over the horizon, she got up and waited by the window.

Awhile later, Queenie came by. The girl even cautiously looked around before she came in, making sure that she was not beingfollowed by the bodyguards.

She went over to Sherry and pointed at the wall further away. “The ladder is there. Hailey is waiting for you outside. Go now. Andstay low, don’t attract any attention. I'll stay here for a while and meet you back at your quarters.”

Sherry grinned. “Got it. Thank you.”

Queenie glared at her. “Remember to tell me who the man is and give me the address.”She desperately wanted to replace out who the man was.

As she sat down on the couch, Sherry went out through the door.

The front gate was closed, and no one could see through it from the outside.

Sherry tiptoed to the wall in the yard and whispered, Hailey.”

Hailey immediately extended the telescopic ladder from outside the wall.

Sherry climbed up the ladder and then pulled it back when she was on the other side.

After that, Hailey took the ladder from her and whispered, “Go to the quarters quickly. Be careful not to get caught by thebodyguards.”

“Alright. Thanks.”

Sherry tiptoed along the shadows and made her way to the employee quarters . She took a shortcut , snuck past several people,and finally made it back to her quarters after ten minutes.

She pulled the keycard out of her pocket and tapped it at the door. She did not even switch on the lights to stay inconspicuous.After she quietly closed the door, she made her way to her bed and started searching under her pillow.

She usually hid her phone under the sheets right below her pillow. However, there was nothing under the pillow or the sheetseven after a thorough search.

Could it have fallen on the ground?

She went to the switch by the bed to turn on the lights.

The lights dispersed the darkness in the room, and before Sherry could bend over to look for her phone, she wasshocked by the person standing in the corner.

The man leaned against the wall lazily with his hand pocketed while his other hand was holding the phone that Sherry waslooking for. —

He smirked and said while waving it in front of her, “ Looking for this?”
