Mated To The Twin Alpha Heirs -
Found
"What? How come?"
I turned to look at the boys. They were all shocked.
"Does this happen often? Or has it happened before?"
I asked them.
"This has never happened before. A thief in Stone Shadow academy? Never."
Zach's reply was certain and angry too. And I understood, this was his father's school. Their family's legacy. Such act would ruin their reputation. The integrity the school was built upon would be destroyed, all because some cheap thief could not control their urge to take people's things. This was a despicable act.
"Who is the owner of the lost phone, Katelyn?"
Aaron stepped in. His expression was grim. I had never seen him harbor such emotion until now.
"That girl there."
She pointed at a girl that seemed angry and was crying too.
Aaron went to meet her and the rest of us followed him. Immediately she saw Aaron, she stood.
"Good day Aaron."
My heart went out to the girl. Even though she was unhappy, she was still respectful and greeted Aaron according to his position in the pack.
She turned to the rest of the boys and bowed in greeting too.
They replied.
"So tell me, when did you notice your phone was missing?"
"After lunch."
"You dropped your bag and went for lunch?"
"Yes."
"When you realized you did not see your phone, who was around you?"
"We were very few. It was just him and them and that girl and the other girl on pink and that guy."
The girl pointed at some of her classmates who were present and looking scared, thinking they might be seen as the suspects. "Come here you guys."
Aaron beckoned on those the girl had pointed. They were obviously scared. One of the girls even had tears running down her eyes.
"Hey, it's okay dear. So long as it's not your fault, you're not responsible for anything neither will you be accused, okay?"
I consoled her and she nodded. But the tears still ran. This was a very terrible happening right now. Stealing? Who could have done such a crime? Who would have committed it? What did that petty thief stand to gain? I looked around the room, was the thief here? Were they seeing how their wicked act was making innocent people cry? I wish I could get the person. Whoever that had done this, I wish I could get them.
"Where were you when you discovered her phone was missing?"
"We had just entered the class. She was behind us. We went to our respective seats when we noticed her frantically searching for something. This guy here." The one that was explaining pointed to one of them. "Asked her what she was searching for and she said her phone was missing."
"That was it?"
They all nodded.
"That was how it happened?"
The girl whose phone was missing nodded. "Yes, Aaron."
Aaron walked to the podium and stood. His expression was unsmiling and he looked like he would tear the thief apart if he caught him.
"Everyone listen." The whole class went dead silent. So silent that even a pin drop would be heard.
"Now, this school has never recorded the case of theft. Even my father told me that during his time as a student in this school, he never saw nor heard the case of theft. I am so disappointed that this will be happening here. Why would you steal? My father is not here but I am representing him and I know that whatever action I take here today, concerning this case, he'd have no problem with it. Now, I am going to give the culprit one last chance to bring the phone out before I begin to take action. I am sure some of you left your phone in the class, correct?"
A large number of students said yes.
"And you have been leaving your phone here in your class when going for lunch for a long time now, correct again?"
The number of students that affirmed his statement increased.
"Good. I do not want the students of Stone Shadow academy to fret about leaving their belongings in within the school premises when it is their right to do so."
He paused and let his eyes roam the sea of students in the room.
"I am waiting for whoever that is with the phone to bring it out."
Another pause and nobody was forthcoming.
"Since there is no response, I'll assume that this thief already knows the consequences and is willing to bear it. Now, to the girl who owns the phone, are you sure you left it in your bag?" "Yes, I did."
"Very sure?"
"Absolutely."
"And the rest of you who left your phone in the class too, you saw it?"
They replied yes.
"Alright. First things first, we'll dial the phone and see if it rings."
"She has done that already, Aaron."
Someone from the crowd called out.
"That is good but we will try it again now my siblings and I are here."
"One of you should take her number and dial it, see if it rings."
Lucas already had his out before I could give mine. The girl called out the number and he dialed it. Twice.
"It's not ringing, Aaron."
Lucas informed him.
"Alright. Zach, you're close to the entrance, close the door. No one gets in or out."
Zach did as he was told and the search began. Immediately, I felt the pressing urge to pee. The urge came so strong that I could not hold it in till they were done. My legs began tapping the floor. "Are you okay?"
Lucas asked me.
"Yes."
I could not tell him I wanted to pee.
The urge became intense. I had to keep twisting my legs. This stupid pee chose the wrong time to come. If I asked to go out now the search had began, it would look suspicious.
"What's wrong with you?"
Aaron had noticed it too.
"Nothing."
"Why are you acting all nervous?"
Katelyn asked me. I knew the boys and some others close by heard it.
"I'm not nervous."
I replied and struggled to keep my legs from tapping.
It was a while before they got to my row. My bag was there and they searched everywhere. I went to a different seat and put my head down.
Soon I heard gasps and raising my head to see what was the new development, maybe they had seen the phone. Aaron was holding the phone and he was holding my bag.
