Chapter 453

“Get out!” With the tone of a CEO, Mackenzie pointed outside with her delicate

finger.

Emmanuel saw her determination and could only comply with her request.

However, she was serious about this. She believed it was unfair for other men

to enjoy their wife’s lovingly cooked meals while he did not have the same

privilege.

Although she could not promise to cook for him every day, she would fulfill

her responsibility as a wife whenever she had time.

Entering the living room, he began tidying up and organizing things.

Emmanuel noticed the illogical arrangement of several decorations in the

iving room. Due to his distant relationship with Mackenzie in the past, he

never felt a sense of ownership over the house and therefore never took the

initiative to change the layout.

With nothing better to do and knowing that she did not treat him as an

outsider, he decided to treat the house as his own.

He had always found the west balcony too empty, but he envisioned

transforming it into a beautiful space with a small rockery fountain

surrounded by vibrant flowers. And adding a rattan swing chair would allow

them to sit together, swing, and enjoy the romantic atmosphere when spring

arrives.

Pft! Stop, stop, stop! He quickly snapped out of his daydream and wondered

if he was losing his mind. How could he entertain such dangerous thoughts of

imagining Mackenzie sitting on a swing and enjoying the romantic.

atmosphere with him?

Emmanuel questioned his sanity and immediately remembered that Felicity

was coming over today. If she arrived at the house and saw her precious

Mackenzie busy in the kitchen while he was lost in daydreams, what would

she think of him?

No mother would want her daughter to become a worn-out wife, especially

when the daughter was the princess of the Quillen family!

Realizing this, he felt the urgency to convince Mackenzie to step out of the

kitchen and let him take over the cooking. Unfortunately, he realized it a bit

too late. There was already a knock on the door!

“Emmanuel, go answer the door!” Her authoritative voice echoed from the

kitchen, which indicated that she had not reconsidered her decision despite

her mother’s arrival.

She questioned the unfairness of the situation. If Felicity could cook for his

father after marriage, why could not she do the same for Emmanuel?

He also knew that time was running out and had no intention of being

deceitful, so he steeled himself and opened the door.

To his surprise, he found two women standing outside. Both were stunning

beauties, with the only distinction being their age.

“Hello, Mother, and whom might you be…” He greeted Felicity but did not

recognize the young beauty beside her.

In contrast, the young woman wore a polite and elegant smile as she

greeted, “Hello, Emmanuel!”

“Oh, it’s you, Sarah? Please come in quickly!” Emmanuel smiled and invited

the two inside, noticing their beauty and distinct differences in temperament

compared to Mackenzie.

Sarah secretly sized up him and did not appear embarrassed but smiled

generously instead upon being caught.

On the other hand, Felicity’s attitude was less amiable, and she wore a

somewhat chilly expression, although it was not to the extent of being

gloomy or terrifying.

“Felicity, you’re here?” Mackenzie heard the commotion and emerged from

the kitchen, so her brow was slightly furrowed upon seeing the two. “Sarah,

why are you here?”

Emmanuel was bewildered. Is this Mackenzie’s way of treating her family?

Why does she seem to treat her mother and sister as strangers?

Felicity and Sarah were taken aback when they saw Mackenzie coming out of

the kitchen. Despite not holding a spatula, her apron was a clear sign that

she had been cooking. They stood there in disbelief!

Is this a joke? The Quillen family’s princess is cooking and serving a man. This

is unbelievable.
