Mommy for Billionaire's Baby -
Chapter 53
"Tasya, um... Mama Tasya!" Naina shouted with joy. She didn't care about the sharp glare she suddenly received from Sunny. Naina had intentionally waited for Tasya and Nathan to return from out of town. Naina only knew that they both had a work trip, just like usual. Although she had begged to go along, Tasya had said their trip was boring.
Evidence proved Tasya used to bring back souvenirs that Naina loved from these trips.
"Oh, is it only Mama who gets a welcome?" Nathan asked, pouting. The two large suitcases he had been pulling were now being taken over by Merry, who was also there to welcome the future residents of this place.
"Tsk!" Naina pouted but couldn't resist approaching the man she called Daddy. She had wanted to hug Tasya longer, but Nathan had asked her to come closer. What could Naina do? She extended her hand to the man who looked at her mischievously. Who would have thought that Nathan intended to tease Naina, creating a sudden commotion in the living room due to laughter and Naina's pleas for forgiveness?
This clearly left Sunny and Tasya shaking their heads in amazement.
"Alright, Tasya, just leave the two of them," Sunny said as she grabbed Tasya's free arm. The large bag that had previously been carried by her son-in-law had now changed hands. For Sunny, Tasya had truly become her child. Well... at least her new shopping buddy after being alone for so long or only with her co-conspirators.
In the past, Sunny often went anywhere with Jannet Sinclair just to tire out their legs. Jannet was happy to accompany her. Even Naina seemed to prefer the mall's atmosphere to being at home. She was lifted onto a stroller so that her little legs wouldn't tire from wandering around the mall. It made sense that Naina loved going around the mall; she had spent a lot of time there since she was little.
No, Sunny was just shopping casually. Jannet Sinclair was the same. They just enjoyed the atmosphere and hustle and bustle there. Sunny felt like she had found that joy again with Tasya this time. Besides, Tasya was often around Naina and Nathan, so she must have known their habits to some extent.
Tasya could only grimace as she left her uncle and niece still playfully joking around. Most of her heart warmed seeing Naina's happiness. And when she looked at the hand that was still touching her arm, the woman she called "Mama," it softened her usual call.
The woman's acceptance made Tasya feel truly fortunate. She had never been asked about her parents before. Maybe Nathan had already explained what her family situation was like. But Tasya herself wasn't an insensitive woman. Even though her child had already explained, there would still be a lingering curiosity. It could be satisfied by asking directly.
However, Sunny didn't do that.
Sunny was cheerful, her smile didn't fade, and she talked a lot about Naina or the activities she had been doing. What made Tasya feel that Sunny's heart was genuinely filled with love for her was that she had never heard Sunny ask about Tasya's two younger siblings who sometimes stayed here. In fact, she said, "Nathan's house has become lively, and that child often comes home, Tasya. Why should Mama ask a lot of questions? Besides, Naina is happy with Robin and Ronan. Your children are all polite, so you don't need to worry about it."
Oh, God is truly good, isn't He?
"Why did you choose Nathan's room over there to be the master bedroom?" Sunny's question broke Tasya's reverie.
"Huh?" Tasya blinked in surprise. She was somewhat taken aback by Sunny's question.
"Are you still imagining being alone with Nathan?"
Oh God! Why did Nathan's mother suddenly steer the conversation that way?
She took a deep breath and mustered a faint smile to start giving her reasons about why she wanted to stay in Nathan's old room. She thought that Nathan's room was much more suitable for her than the master bedroom. Although she had never been inside, in Tasya's mind, she could picture every corner of the master bedroom that Nathan occupied.
How could Nathan live in a somewhat cramped space? This man loved putting things wherever he wanted. This habit had been displayed long before Tasya became his wife. Well... what else could she do? Their togetherness was as strong as Korean glue. Even though there was a height difference that always made their relationship return to its original point: boss and subordinate.
"I think Nathan's room there has a much calmer atmosphere, Ma."
Tasya's words made Sunny furrow her brow a lot. "What do you mean?"
"Nathan agreed to move to the previous room after a little renovation. I know Nathan is already used to a much larger room. So I made some adjustments to the design. I hope Mama doesn't mind."
"Why should I mind?" Sunny laughed. "I just don't understand why the master bedroom ended up being so far back, Tasya."
"Nathan has more work, Ma. I can't stand the increasing pile. You know Nathan's obsession with Faldom? Until Nathan feels that Faldom can be left alone and in a stable condition, it seems Nathan won't stop expanding his network." "What does that have to do with Faldom?" Sunny was confused by Tasya's explanation just now.
"It's related, Ma," Tasya smiled. She briefly released Sunny's hand, asking the middle-aged woman to sit at the dining table. "I'll make tea, okay? Mama Alexa said there was a tea delivery yesterday."
Sunny gave a wide smile. "Okay. Just don't make it too sweet, okay? But aren't you tired, Tasya? Let Merry do it."
