"I understand if you don't like it," Sunny sits next to the girl, who still looks a bit pale. She gives Tasya a gentle pat on the shoulder. "But it's probably what you should do." Hearing Nathan's story about Tasya's mother's condition saddened Sunny. Honestly, she didn't expect that behind Tasya's often displayed cheerfulness, there was such a heavy sadness. "Don't let your sister get hurt again."

"Yes, Ma'am," Tasya bows her head. "I'll think about it."

She places her spoon on the table slowly. Tasya is so afraid of hurting Sunny's feelings. It's not that she's unwilling to accept all of the middle-aged woman's advice about her mother. Oh God, not at all. In fact, she feels that Sunny's words hold some truth. Maybe... her mother's condition really should be monitored by a specialist doctor.

Not to mention the motivation that Sunny gave her. It's clear how genuine and non-judgmental it is. As if what Tasya feels about her family, Sunny is deeply involved in it. This is what makes Tasya think a lot during this delicious dinner. "It's never too late for your mother to get checked. Besides, your brother has already taken her to the doctor, right?"

"Just waiting for the results, Ma'am." Tasya takes a long breath. She fills her lungs with a lot of air. "Ronan hasn't given an update yet."

"Maybe because you're still in the recovery phase, that's why Ronan doesn't want to talk yet."

Tasya nods again.

"Alright, dear, I'll go to my room. The doctor said you shouldn't be too active either."

Before Sunny leaves her, Tasya holds the end of the navy blouse sleeve that Sunny is wearing.

"What's wrong, Tasya?" Sunny asks, puzzled. Since earlier, Sunny has been waiting for Tasya to speak, but the girl has been silent. Maybe it's because of all her remarks about her mother. I swear by anything, Sunny didn't mean anything by it. She just wants the best for Tasya. Sunny cares about that girl, you know.

"Thank you."

That statement brings a broad smile to the woman who is now sitting next to Tasya again. "What are you thanking me for?" She gently lifts Tasya's chin so they can look at each other. "It's actually me who should say thank you. You've cared about Naina and been patient with Nathan."

Tasya didn't know how to respond.

"I am happy you're always around Nathan. You understand what Mom's child needs the most. Most importantly, you love and care for Naina. There's nothing else Mom wants except those two things. And God has already granted them, right?" Tasya blinks her eyes.

"Don't worry, there's no more matchmaking ideas for Nathan. You're free from that duty."

Tasya is left confused. "I don't understand."

"No need to understand, just follow through."

"Is Tasya feeling better yet? I have so much homework, and no one can help." Naina's arrival interrupts their conversation. She looks a bit flustered with her textbooks and pencil box. Naina won't easily let Tasya go. She immediately places her book on the dining table. "Come on, Tasya. Help me."

"Be patient, okay? Let me finish this first."

"Oh, no need." Sunny immediately intervenes. "Let Merry tidy it up. You accompany Naina. Your room has already been cleaned up. You can do your homework there."

"In my room, please, Grandma," Naina insists with finality.

"Tasya's room. So Tasya can rest." Sunny lovingly pats her granddaughter's head. "What if Tasya faints again, what will we do?"

"Okay," Naina gives in. "You're done with your meal, right? Come on, Tasya," she says with a pleading tone.

"Okay!" There's nothing Tasya can do but comply. "But I'll help explain, okay? I still feel a bit dizzy." That's a lie. Tasya wants Naina to become more independent. As long as Tasya has been helping Nathan's niece with her studies, she has always been working on fostering Naina's independence when it comes to solving problems.

"Yeah, but you'll check my homework when I'm done."

Tasya follows Naina's cheerful steps toward the room she knows well. She doesn't know when she suddenly took over that room. The previous owner never complained, except for the matter of her childhood pictures.

"But are you really all better?" Naina suddenly stops. Her eyes gaze at Tasya with curiosity. As if in her clear ocean-like gaze, she's contemplating and examining whether the person in front of her is truly healthy. But why does she still look a bit pale? Her smile isn't as wide as usual. If she's not well, why did she come back?

"I am, Naina," Tasya slightly lowers her head to meet Naina's gaze. "No need to worry."

"I'm afraid you'll faint again," Naina says softly. Then she takes a step closer to the person who has never been friendly when approached by her. Tasya has always been curt and sometimes grumpy, but she's always patient with Naina. She immediately hugs the slender figure, even if it's just chest-level.

"No, I won't. I'm all better," Tasya laughs at Naina's recent behavior. Unsurprisingly, her hand gently strokes the child's head. "Come on, we might run out of time to finish your homework."

"Can I sleep with you tonight?" "Sure."

They didn't realize that there were a pair of eyes observing from another corner. A wide smile stretched across the watcher's face, replaceing their interaction so beautiful. Until a rather forceful pat on the shoulder caused them to grimace in pain. They wanted to scream, but they had to stifle it. "Mom!" they exclaimed with annoyance. "Ouch!"

"Your eyes, Nathan. No need to act like you're about to jump because of Tasya."

"I was looking at Naina."

"Oh, come on!" Sunny scoffed, her hands on her hips. "When did you admit that you can't do without Tasya?"

Nathan laughed. "Well, it's true, isn't it? Tasya knows everything about me."

"When are you two getting married?"

"About five months from now, how's that? So, Tasya can have a bit more time to take care of her mom first. I'm sure we'll both be busy, Mom. We don't want our busyness to cause trouble." Sunny was dumbfounded by Nathan's words. "R-really?"

"Do you think I'm lying?" Nathan sighed. "I've never lied, especially about feelings."

"But you often play with women's feelings, Nathan. Don't compare yourself to Tasya."

"Oh, come on, Mom," Nathan said, frustrated. "I get all jittery just holding Tasya's hand." "Really?"

Nathan nodded confidently.

"So, this is how a crocodile behaves when it meets its trainer?"

"Did Mom just call me a crocodile?" Nathan looked at his mother in disbelief.

"You're okay with Tasya calling you Raptor, right? So why do you mind Mom calling you a crocodile? They're a similar species, aren't they?" "Mom!"
