Mommy for Billionaire's Baby -
Chapter 43
Sunny was actually somewhat surprised by Nathan's visit this morning. It's a workday, and Sunny was sure Nathan's visit had some ulterior motive. He'd ask about it soon, including the progress of his relationship with Tasya. There were many questions he wanted to ask, especially after hearing from Merry about how close they were becoming.
"Is Mom busy?"
"Seems like it," Sunny replied as he set down the green tea cup he was enjoying.
"Not really. When I came earlier, Jiah said Aunt Sunny was busy watching 'Wednesday.' " Nathan leaned back comfortably while chuckling. Nathan was astonished by his mother's taste in shows. She acted like a teenager.
"I intentionally came here to talk, Mom," Nathan said, taking a slow breath. He decided not to protest about his mom's taste in TV shows just yet.
"What's the matter? If it's about Naina, so far, Mom has heard that she's not naughty, doesn't cause any trouble, and her learning is improving. Do you want to complain about Naina?"
"Ugh!" Nathan grimaced, not accepting that. "When did I complain about Naina? I used to be super busy, Mom. So anything related to Naina made me dizzy." Why was he being treated like a high-profile fugitive now? His intention of coming here was not to discuss Naina.
"But you're not busy now?"
Nathan chuckled. "Well, I am, but I'm getting help."
"Most likely from Tasya and her two siblings," Sunny said with a hint of sarcasm. Even so, know that Sunny was really holding back from speaking, let alone bursting into laughter.
"Ah, come on, talking to Mom. She probably knows where my conversation is headed anyway."
Unable to resist any longer, Sunny burst into laughter. What else could he do? His son was pouting beside him. That face, even though he was handsome, in Sunny's eyes, he still looked like the kid from yesterday. The one who sulks and wants the same toy as his big brother. Ah, their childhood passed so quickly, leaving Sunny behind.
"Merry has been reporting a lot to Mom about you guys at home. Mom is really happy. I feel guilty too because I can't accompany you for too long." Suddenly, that smile vanished. "Forgive me, Nathan."
"I also have a share of the blame with Naina, Ma. I was so busy in Faldom, making Naina lonely. That's why I'm trying to make it up bit by bit, Ma."
Sunny nodded in understanding. "Mom is also working on that, Nathan."
"So... Mom approves of me and Tasya, right? If it's approved, can we speed up the engagement?" Nathan grinned broadly. That was indeed his plan. Not for any specific reason. What if Tasya suddenly changed her mind about him? It was a very rare occurrence in Nathan's life.
Well, who knows, maybe Tasya would suddenly realize what kind of person Nathan was. But when you think about it, Tasya was the one who knew herself best, right? So, don't waste the opportunity where Tasya willingly accepted his proposal to get married.
"What is it, Nathan?" Sunny had prepared himself for the relationship between the assistant and his son. Sunny agreed, really. He even felt very compatible with Tasya because even though she seemed quiet, she knew how to handle Naina's stubbornness. That was the most important thing. But not suddenly like this, right? Why did he feel like he'd been hit by a bomb?
In Sunny's eyes, the woman who could deal with a child's tantrums, had a high motherly instinct, was present in Tasya. The plan worked, right? Nathan finally realized that he had deeper feelings for his assistant. Even his son's brain couldn't understand which feelings were genuine and which were just for fun. Fortunately, Alexa's plan to send a distant cousin, Jannet Sinclair, to get to know Tasya was canceled. What if she did that? Oh... it could be a mess.
Like Mirah later on. Mirah was a good person, after all. Hopefully, she would meet her other half. "Mom, you should know that I don't like to drag things out. I'll propose to Tasya if possible next week. We'll get married in a month," Nathan said passionately.
"Can you not suddenly give Mom high blood pressure?"
Nathan pouted. "Don't dramatize things. I haven't forgotten Mom's ideas and pressure for me to get married soon." Nathan leaned back comfortably. "I don't want to delay marrying Tasya." His peripheral vision glanced at his mother's expression. He was thinking hard about what else he needed to say to convince her.
"Yeah, I understand. But not that fast either. I need time, Nathan. Later, your dad will be shocked. Accusing you of all sorts of things with Tasya. Eh... you're not, right? Don't tell me Tasya's already pregnant?" Sunny gave his son a fierce glare. He was already prepared to smack or flick his son's ear.
"No accusations are pleasant, Ma," Nathan sneered. "Yesterday, I got into trouble because of pregnancy. Don't make it more complicated, Ma."
"Oh God!" Sunny slapped his forehead. "But, right? You've taken care of it, haven't you? No problem for you, is there?" In reality, Sunny was quite anxious about this matter himself. It wasn't about a woman being pregnant with Nathan's child. His son had to take responsibility. But the problem wasn't just about responsibility, was it? The love they would spend their entire lives together, not to mention Naina, and the background of why Nathan was in Faldom. Everything was in motion and could become a boomerang. That was Sunny's biggest fear about his son's behavior.
He often asked Tasya about Nathan's behavior out there. Although not much was revealed, Sunny could imagine quite clearly.
"No, of course not!" Nathan raised his voice slightly. "I sent her away along with a serious threat, Ma. She had the audacity to slander me." "Sent her where?"
"To her messenger, of course." That's right. Nathan wasn't kidding when he got rid of Bonnie. After exposing the woman's trickery, he also didn't hesitate to report her for defamation and her collaboration with Farhan in trapping him. He provided the evidence he had obtained and, with the help of his legal team, made sure Bonnie wouldn't get off that easily.
Regardless of their fate, Farhan, and Bonnie. They acted without thinking about the consequences. What it meant for Faldom. Why should Nathan show them any mercy? Forgiveness without punishment didn't apply to him. He let the law take its course according to the crimes committed by Farhan.
Sunny sighed in relief. "You're really not going to be threatened again, right?"
Nathan shook his head confidently. "Don't worry, Ma. Nathan knows how to handle it."
"Thank goodness." This time, Sunny was truly relieved to hear it. "Don't let Mama's grandchild be born before the wedding, Nathan."
"That's why I want to speed up the proposal and wedding party. No need to invite a lot of people, that's not a problem. Just keep it simple, Ma."
"Yeah, yeah. Mama will prepare it quickly." Sunny didn't mind the idea of a rushed wedding preparation.
Nathan grinned broadly. "Better than me making Tasya pregnant first, right?"
"Don't be absurd!" Sunny really realized her intention. She slapped her son's shoulder quite hard, causing Nathan to grimace in pain and apologize. Nevertheless, Sunny continued to deliver her blows. "I don't want to get any more stressed, Nathan. Don't make Mama have a heart attack!"

Since morning, Tasya had been busy checking the reports Nathan had handed over. Meanwhile, her boss, as usual, had various activities outside the office. This time, Tasya wasn't included. He said, "You stay at the office. I'll go home after lunch. I want that report finished by then."
Raptor's boss was still the annoying boss. He couldn't see Tasya relax for even a moment. Although she had been happy when Nathan said she could stay in the office for the meeting. She thought she could temporarily put aside the many sheets filled with numbers and project progress that Nathan was currently working on.
In reality?
Many had been asking about Nathan's whereabouts this morning. Tasya gave straightforward answers because that's what had happened. Except in front of Leo, where Tasya received many questions, especially regarding Nathan's future plans, including Leo's opinion that Nathan was too bold in speculating.
"Shouldn't Mr. Leo know how Mr. Nathan works, right? You've been under Mr. Nathan for quite some time, right? You must understand the working style of our boss." Tasya said this at the end of her conversation with Leo not too long ago. From the middle-aged man's gaze alone, Tasya could see doubt about what steps Nathan would take for Faldom. Sometimes Tasya wanted to emphasize, "Why not ask Mr. Nathan directly? Don't you often have discussions with the boss?" But Tasya had her limits. She could only say so much. The rest she excused herself after obtaining the desired documents.
"Oh my God, Raptor is such a tormentor." She slumped slightly in her chair. Taking a moment to relax because her work had piled up after the recent shareholders' meeting. "What should I eat?"
She reached for her phone to check the menu she could order from one of the e-commerce food delivery services. Nowadays, everything was made easier. So Tasya didn't have too much trouble choosing a meal without leaving her desk. Before she could even replace a menu that suited her preferences, there was a knock on her office door. When granted entry, the office boy arrived with a tray containing a box and a bowl.
"From Mr. Raptor, Miss Tasya. Mr. Raptor said, 'Don't skip lunch.""
Tasya gawked.
"Earlier, Mr. Raptor asked me to buy lunch for you. I got you some spare ribs soup from the nearest restaurant. Finish it; that's what he ordered." The tray containing the steaming soup was placed on the table near the sofa. Often, that table was used by the boss for meals when he didn't leave the office. With Tasya, of course.
