"Thanks, Mr.," Tasya just grinned. Shortly after the office boy left, Tasya immediately sent a message to Nathan. But Nathan's message had already come in, making Tasya burst into laughter. Raptor Nathan (boyfriend):

Mama Raptor is not allowed to get sick. Daddy Raptor will be sad and unable to think about the future. Please report one hour after lunch immediately. The bowl must be empty, and the rice finished. Remember, you don't need to eat the plates and bowls.

Before she could reply, it turned out Nathan had already made a video call. Oh God! Back then, he used to call at any time, and his questions often irritated Tasya. Why has Nainak become even more chaotic now?

"Yeah, Nathan?" Enough is enough. Tasya can't refuse and ignore, or she'll be bombarded even more. Now she's treated to Nathan's cheerful face. "Are you driving? Why do you have to call me?" "Why not? Is it not allowed? Miss you!"

"Come on!" Tasya sighed. "I'm about to eat. You'll be at the office soon, right?" She could hear Nathan's hearty laughter.

"Yes, but is it wrong to talk about missing someone?"

The girl with bangs just shook her head. "Someone's asking me to eat quickly while the food is still warm. But you're bothering me. What should I do?"

"Is the disturber being mean?"

Tasya chose to sit on the sofa instead of staying at her desk. "Focus on your driving, Nathan. Don't video call me while doing it. We'll meet later, right? The meeting with Waskiya Construction is scheduled for three in the afternoon." "Yeah." On the other end, Nathan just glanced at his phone placed right on the dashboard. He deliberately set it up on the holder so he could look at Tasya even through the hands-free connection. "I'll keep you company while you eat, Tasya. Don't refuse. I don't accept rejections."

"Why does Raptor have to be so annoying?" Tasya grumbled while rolling her eyes. But she couldn't just ignore what Nathan wanted. "I'll eat. The aroma of the oxtail soup makes me hungry."

"Don't eat the plates and bowls," Nathan teased. Teasing Tasya, where he could see, that suddenly sullen face became a source of amusement. He temporarily removed his thick glasses, allowing Nathan to gaze at Tasya's face without growing tired. Unfortunately, he had to divide his focus on driving as well.

"Darn! It's dangerous, but what can I do? If I detain Olivia, it's heavy. Nathan couldn't ignore it.

"No, I want to eat rice with delicious side dishes."

"You look beautiful without your glasses," Nathan sincerely complimented.

"Unfortunately, I'm not beautiful right now, Nathan. My face is starting to break out because of PMS," Tasya blurted out without reservation.

"Oh, by the way, while eating, listen to some good news from me. But remember, don't choke."

Tasya, who had just tasted the oxtail soup broth, suspiciously stared at her phone screen.

"You don't have to do that, Tasya. I'm not a criminal. I'm your boyfriend, you know, handsome and kind. Soon I'll be your fiancé, and not long after that, your husband. So don't look at me as if I'm a bad lover."

"Because you're so kind that many women are trapped, and you're so bad that some claim to be pregnant because of you."

Nathan burst into uncontrollable laughter. So much so that he accidentally honked the car horn. Fortunately, he didn't receive a barrage of curses from startled drivers.

"But the one I'm really serious about trapping is a girl named Tasya Rosmerry."

"Yeah, yeah." Tasya continued eating. She began to chew on the carrots in the soup. "This is delicious, Nathan. I like it."

"Thank goodness you like it." Nathan started to suppress his laughter. He cleared his throat briefly to talk about something more serious. Not that he didn't want to wait, but in his heart and mind, Nathan couldn't wait to share his plans. "Next week, I'm going to officially propose to you." Tasya fell silent.

"I'm serious, Tasya. Earlier, I didn't have an external meeting, but I met my mom. I'm sorry, not to lie, but I can't delay what I've been thinking about for too long. Especially when it comes to you. I don't want to risk you suddenly rejecting my marriage proposal."

The bespectacled girl sighed. "But my mother won't be there, right, Nathan?"

"Yes, I understand. Given her mental health condition, are you okay if I propose next week without your mother?"

Tasya pondered for a moment.

"But if you want to focus on your mother's health first, I don't mind."

Tasya's eyes were fixed on her phone screen. The silhouette of Nathan's face from the side was clearly visible. Nathan's eyes were fixed straight ahead at the road. From the screen, Tasya could also see the heavy traffic that had trapped Nathan there. There was a strong sense of conviction in the words she had just heard.

Truly, she didn't doubt any of Nathan's words about love. Tasya understood what often came out of Nathan's mouth to other women. There was never the word 'love', it was truly just about enjoying their time together. Even though it hurt and made Tasya keep her distance to protect her heart, what else could she do? In reality, Nathan's presence was still in her heart.

It had taken a long time for her to overcome the terrible behavior of the man. She held onto Nathan's promise, which was only loyal to her. Hopefully, God wouldn't test their love with a third party. She was already troubled by her current life. She didn't want to get married and add to her life's burdens. She wanted a partner with whom she could share her worries, not someone to burden her with the responsibility of taking care of his family.

"Oh my God! Tasya didn't have any intentions or plans that devious. Her heart genuinely loves Nathan, just as he is."

"Can I talk to Ronan first?" Tasya asks.

"Sure. I'll wait for good news, okay? Oh, speaking of engagement, I also want to ask your dad for permission, Tasya. Even though we can't meet him in this world, it shouldn't be a problem to visit his grave, right?"

"I didn't even think about that," Tasya replies softly.

"Are you still angry with Appa?"

"I don't know," Tasya shakes her head slowly. "I feel like I jumped into an unfamiliar time."

"What do you mean?"

"I'll talk about this later, okay? You're driving right now, aren't you?"

"But don't forget to tell me. You have a habit of not speaking up unless you're pushed."

"Because it's not necessary to remember and talk about that, Nathan."

"Now there's me, Tasya. Don't keep it to yourself. For me, you're close, but also so far away that it's hard to reach."

"You're exaggerating," Tasya smiles, albeit faintly.

"Keep eating, Tasya. Remember, you've already missed a lot of your lunchtime."

"Boss, could you act a bit sane? Who was the one talking seriously? Why the sudden change of tone?"

Once again, Nathan bursts into laughter. "Wait for me, okay? I miss you, you know."

"Stop being noisy. If you miss me, just get to the office."

Unfortunately, those words seemed to set the course for everything, marking a distinct line between meetings and farewells. Because after that, all Tasya could hear were loud crashes, Nathan's curses, and a fallen phone, along with another voice that made her heart stop suddenly.
