Mommy, My Daddy Is A Billionaire CEO -
Chapter 49
The man standing before Debby was Broderick Alessandro. Debby turned to face Harry, who gave her a nod and she mouthed a thank you and turned to face her father once again. She didn't bother listening to what the priest had to say, all she was concerned about was hugging her father. However she knew better than to keep her emotions in check.
She didn't want anyone from the audience suspecting a thing about them.
After the blessing of the marriage, Harry decided to give Broderick and his daughter a private moment amongst themselves. He didn't want to interfere in the father-daughter meet up, after a very long time of being distanced together. Harry closed the door behind him and went to greet the guests that had come for his wedding.
Meanwhile, with tears filled on her face, Debby rushed up to her father and embraced him in a warm hug. Broderick couldn't contain his emotion as well, as he held on to his daughter tightly. He had thought that at some point, he was going to die. When Harry had taken him out of the dungeon, Broderick believed he was going to be killed. He was surprised, when he was taken to a hotel and was properly taken care off. Broderick was even more amazed, when he had been given an Armani suite to wear earlier and was directed to the wedding ground.
Broderick eventually realized what was happening, when he was directed to stand side by side with his daughter.
"Never had I thought I would see you again." Debby spoke, after releasing herself from the hug. She used the napkin in her hands to wipe off her tears.
"I thought he was going to kill me when he brought me out of the dungeon. For the past few days, he sent his boys to properly feed and clothe me. At some point, I was beginning to believe I was hallucinating and there was need to wake up." Debby chuckled at her father's attempt of humor.
"I am glad that you are alive." Debby once again, hugged her father.
After she released herself off Broderick, Debby noticed the look of worry on her father's face. She was anxious and decided to ask.
"What is wrong father? You looked perturbed."
"Is he forcing you into this marriage?" Broderick asked.
"No father. I believe Harry is a changed man.
Although he still get under his mood some days.
However, for most part of the days, he is still a good person." Debby totally understands her father's point. She would do the same for Fred, if she had any opportunity.
"Very well then, I will take you by your words. I certainly hope they don't fail me." They both had a good laugh, before the door opened revealing Harry still with his stoic face.
"I believe the Father-daughter bond should be brought to an end at this point. The guests wishes to meet with us." He directed his question, more to Debby than Broderick. "Can I ask for one favor?" Broderick asked. Harry stopped in his track and turned around to face Broderick, who was standing alone, as Debby was now side by side with Harry. "I wish for Debby to be reunited with her mother. I am not saying the reunion would take days. Even if she can bond with her mother for a few hours, I would be grateful." Harry looked at Broderick for a moment, and then back to Debby, who had pleading eyes staring at him. Some paragraphs are incomplete if you are not reading this novel on Ebookex.com. How can he be marrying a bride whose mood is sour today? The crowds will suspect. He had noticed that despite her forceful smile before the wedding, within her eyes wrote sorrowful words and it could only be alluded to one thing and one thing entirely; her father's abduction.
"Very well then, you can have your way." Harry finished off and moved out of the room with Debby by his side.

Meanwhile, in the remote city of Lakewood, Alice was moving back and forth anxiously as she awaited the result of her daughter's surgical operation.
Lakewood was the new city that Alice and Edna evacuated to.
Apparently, Alice had taken Edna to the hospital to run a complete surgery on her. At first, Edna had protested over it, this was because she had watched countless public figure kill themselves or even cause grievous bodily harm to their body due to surgeries. However, when Alice had told her that she was using it as a means to activate her plan to get Harry back into their life, she had agreed to the surgery.
The door opened and Alice turned to see the surgeon stepping out of the room, pulling his gloves and subsequently his mask off his face.
"How did it go?" The surgeon watched Alice to see the fear written across her face.
"You are lucky you had to come to a hospital like ours for the surgery. Anywhere else, and Edna would have been long gone." The surgeon admitted, disposing off his gloves at the trash bin.
"Edna is perfectly fine and is of course in good condition. However, I would advice that you give her some times for the flesh tissues I added to her face to heal." The surgeon explained. "Did her face match the description I gave to you?"
Alice asked anxiously.
"You insult me, madam. I am the best surgeon here in Lakewood and I already told you that it was successful. You don't need to question my competence." He yelled out loudly to her.
'Doesn't mean you should be arrogant, Alice thought angrily and spoke, "I am sorry Damien. You should understand that I am her mother and I deserve to know everything in detail." Alice indicated. "Well, you can go on to see your daughter and verify my claim." Doctor Damien left for his office, while Alice punched the air in the mood of celebration.
She smirked knowing the fact that it would be only a matter of time before Harry would come back begging to take them back. Alice was keen on making Harry beg to take Edna back.
"Time shall tell Harry Vernon, only time." She finished off and head towards the theatre.
