Chapter 863: Preparation

Chapter 863: Preparation

Of course, he wouldn't dare.

Camille smiled inwardly, then gently moved his hand away and askedhim to focus on driving.

In her heart, she was extremely grateful to Ayan and the Simpsonsbecause they truly treated her as one of their own. Unlike other peoplewho always saw their daughters-in-law as outsiders, Fletcher and Taliatreated her like their own daughter. Sometimes, Camille even felt thatthey treated her better than Aria.

And as for the old Simpson, there was no need to mention it.

She kept this gratitude in her heart and silently promised to providewholehearted care and companionship when they grew old.

She would definitely fulfill that promise.

They arrived at the airport and soon met the rest of the family.Originally, they were planning to drive back on their own, but it wouldtake a long time, and the journey would be tiring and arduous. So theychose to take a flight. The old Simpson, with his strong physique evenafter such a long time, and Timmy, who was excited about his firstairplane ride, didn't fuss at all.

Talia said, "Even the flight attendants couldn't resist taking photos withTimmy and wanting to hold him, but I didn't let go of him the wholetime."

Talia was clearly bragging, which prompted Fletcher to chime in, "Youdidn't let go? I held him too!"

Talia became displeased and glared at him, saying, "I held him more.Timmy prefers Grandma.”

“It's clearly Grandpa.”

"Grandma."

"Grandpa."

The two of them started arguing in the car, while Timmy, with his bigeyes, looked left and right, completely accustomed to this.

The old Simpson gave Camille a glance and whispered, "They've beenlike this lately, competing for Timmy's love!"

Camille finally understood and couldn't help but smile. It was genuinelyamusing.

Fletcher and Talia got along very well, to the point that they hardly everspoke loudly. So why did they change after becoming grandparents? Was their jealousy and little competition really so adorable?

Camille pressed her lips, unable to suppress her laughter, and lookedat Timmy sitting in the child seat. She waved at him, her eyes full of amother's love. Timmy responded with a smile, revealing his bright whiteteeth. He was practically a replica of Ayan.

The group returned to the Simpson family, and it was already close to 7o'clock.

Ayan had already instructed the housemaids to prepare dinner, so theycould eat as soon as they arrived.

It had been a while since the whole family had eaten together. Knowingthat Fletcher, Talia, and the old Simpson were bringing Timmy backtoday, Aria made a special effort to replace time and join them for dinner. The old Simpson was delighted and specially requested a glass ofwine.

Fletcher and Ayan didn't want to spoil the joyful atmosphere, so theynaturally agreed.

The old Simpson raised his glass, his face full of tenderness, and said,"At my age, I don't have any dreams anymore. My only hope now is forthe family to be harmonious. I hope Aria will replace a good partner before Iclose my eyes."

Aria, suddenly named, felt that the chicken on her plate lost its flavor. The old Simpson had always been open-minded, so he had neverpressured her about personal matters. That's why she was caught offguard by his sudden mention, feeling unsure of how to respond.

She was completely stunned.

With food still in her mouth, she almost choked because of the oldSimpson's words.

Camille, acting like a good Samaritan, handed her a glass of juice. Ariaimmediately used Camille as a shield, saying, "Cami and Ayan shouldremarry first. You can rest assured about my lifelong matter. I'lldefinitely take it seriously. But I think it would be better for they toremarry, especially now that Timmy is already a big boy."

Aria could only sent Camille an apologetic look before bowing her headand pretending to be silent.

Her diversion tactic was successful, and the old Simpson immediatelyshifted the topic to Camille and Ayan.

The old Simpson asked, "Ayan, when are you and Cami going toremarry? Haven't you made an effort to pursue her and show her yourattitude and commitment? That's why she still hasn't agreed to you untilnow?"

The old Simpson's question was sharp and direct, showing noconsideration for Ayan's pride.

Ayan smiled helplessly and said, "Grandpa, Timmy is here. If you saythat about me, I won't have any dignity left in front of Timmy."

"Do you want your dignity or your wife?" The old Simpson snorted. Heput down his glass and looked at Ayan, saying, "You have ten days towin Cami over."

The old Simpson's words stunned Camille, the person in question. Shewhispered, "Grandpa, I'm here too!"

The old Simpson was well aware that Camille was there, so hedeliberately said it like that. He smiled at Camille and said, "Cami, youshould test him. Don't show any mercy just because of my words, anddon't blindly agree due to our relationship."

Old Simpson had completely made Camille not know what to answer.Ayan was also helpless at the old Simpson's words. He looked at OldSimpson and said, "Grandpa, do you actually want her to agree or not?I feel like you're not assisting me but intentionally hindering us."

Old Simpson snorted coldly. "If you're not good to Cami, let alonehindering you, I won't allow you to be together.”

"Grandpa, that's not fair," Ayan couldn't help shaking his head.

Talia calmly took over the conversation and said, "If your Grandpadisapproves, I disapprove too. So, you'd better treat Cami well. Thatway, you can continue to survive in this family. Otherwise, forget aboutsitting here and having meals together; even entering this door mightbecome difficult for you."

"I agree with your mother," Fletcher raised his hand in support.

Aria also hurriedly raised her hand in agreement.

The whole family was on Camille's side. Ayan finally understood, so hedidn't plan to conceal anything anymore. He casually raised his handand placed it on Camille's shoulder, his voice slowly sounding, "Camihas agreed to remarry me, so you might not have the chance to kickme out anymore.”

He raised an eyebrow, a smile playing on his lips, and his tone was fullof a boastful demeanor.

His words caused everyone at the dining table freeze.

After a brief silence, Old Simpson's face was filled with a smile as heasked, "Cami, is what he said true? Did you agree?"

Facing the expectant gaze of the old Simpson, Camille nodded slightlyand said in a low voice, "Yes, it's true."

Old Simpson was genuinely happy, his face beaming with a smile, andhis clouded eyes twinkling with joy. He said, "Good, today is truly agreat day.”

Talia, Fletcher, and Aria were also overjoyed. The whole family happilyraised their glasses and clinked them together.

As the spokesperson, Fletcher said, "Here's to a lifetime of happinessfor you both."

"Thank you, Dad," Camille and Ayan said simultaneously.

After the toast, Talia asked, "When do you plan to handle theremarriage formalities?"

The question was directed at Ayan.

He put down his glass, glanced at Camille beside him, and whispered,“Let's wait a while. I want to prepare for the wedding first.”

Upon hearing the word "wedding," Camille's eyes widened in surprise. It was unexpected.

He hadn't mentioned it before.

Moreover, they already had a child, so she thought the idea of awedding seemed distant.

Old Simpson, however, had a different thought. He said, "That's theright thing to do. You owe Cami a wedding, and you should give it toher. She is the hero of our Simpson family. You can't let her down. Thewedding must be sensational. Tomorrow, I'll have your mother contact awedding planning company to customize the theme according toCami's preferences.”

Old Simpson continued, "You can handle the remarriage formalitieslater. A wedding require careful preparation. What do you think?"Camille and Ayan glanced at each other. Before Camille could speak,Ayan said, "Grandpa, I still want to have the wedding first."

Ayan seemed adamant about having the wedding and didn't plan tohandle the remarriage formalities for now.

His attitude and response were too firm, causing Camille to have somedifferent thoughts.

Did he not want to remarry?
