My Ex-husband Begs Me Back
Chapter 864: Takeout

Chapter 864: Takeout

Once the idea occurred to Camille, she couldn't shake it off. Even whenAyan explained to the old Simpson and Fletcher Talia why they shouldprioritize having the wedding first in order to combine it with theremarriage proceedings, Camille didn't pay much attention.

After Ayan finished speaking, he reached out and gently held Camille'shand. However, Camille didn't respond and kept her head down, herexpression somewhat distant.

The old Simpson also looked at the two of them and asked in a gentlevoice, "Cami, what do you think about what Ayan said? From myperspective, it would be better to handle the remarriage proceedingsfirst and then prepare for the wedding separately. After all, it takes time, sometimes up to six months or a year. We can collaborate with severalwedding planners to speed up the preparations, but it will still take afew months. So, what are your thoughts?"

Camille didn't show much emotional reaction. With a calm expression, she looked at the old Simpson and said, “Let's go with Ayan'ssuggestion. Since he has already made up his mind, we should followhis lead."

Since Camille had spoken like this, the old Simpson and the othersnaturally had no objections.

However, preparations for the wedding did need to begin, and naturally, that task was entrusted to Talia.

Talia said, "You should take some time to choose your wedding dresssoon. Wedding preparations take time, so it would be good to take yourwedding photos first. It will also give us the opportunity to take a familyportrait.”

Talia's idea was unanimously approved. However, Camille's moodremained somewhat low. The others might not have noticed, but Ayancould sense it.

After dinner, the old Simpson insisted that they stay at the Simpson'smansion.

It worked out perfectly since Camille hadn't spent much time withTimmy lately. Naturally, she agreed.

She played with Timmy in the nursery, then with the help of a nanny, she bathed him. Around ten o'clock, Timmy fell asleep.

Camille stayed in the room and didn't go out until Ayan pushed openthe door and entered.

Seeing her sitting by the bed, watching Timmy sleep, Ayan spoke softly,"What are you doing sitting here?"

"Nothing," she replied calmly, without even lifting her head.

After she spoke, Ayan became even more certain that she was trulyupset.

He walked over, stood next to Camille, and looked down at her. Neitherof them spoke, and she didn't even make eye contact.

Ayan squatted down, holding her hand and gazing into her eyes. "Areyou angry?"

"No."

"Are you upset because I suggested planning the wedding first?"

He asked softly, his expression tense and serious.

Camille gave a faint smile and said, "I'm not upset. Besides, I didn't sayanything about when to handle the procedures, did 1?"

Ayan frowned tightly. Her tone was different from her usual calm voice, and he could clearly sense it.

He glanced at Timmy on the bed and said in a low voice, "Can we talkoutside? Timmy is asleep, and we might wake him up."

“I don't want to talk anymore. Let's just do as you suggested.”

"Cami..."

"Alright, if you don't want to wake Timmy, let's drop the subject, okay? Ididn't say anything, so why bother overthinking it?"

Camille's tone was already very displeased, and her indifference in herwords was clear.

She didn't want to continue this topic. She didn't know if they wouldargue if they kept talking.

As for Ayan's real intention to combine the remarriage proceedings withthe wedding, or if he had other plans, she didn't want to think about itanymore.

From the beginning, he was the one who brought up the idea ofdivorce. Now that she agreed, he had this kind of attitude. Camillecouldn't understand what he was thinking.

Camille was firm in her attitude, and Ayan couldn't do anything about it.In the end, they could only leave Timmy's room.

Camille took a deep breath, pursed her lips tightly, and her facebecame stiff and cold.

She sat quietly for a while, unable to dispel the suppressed emotions inher heart. After a moment, she took out her phone, intending to send amessage to Sienna and chat with her.

But as soon as she typed a few words, she deleted them. Rex hadgone to Flento, and she didn't know if he had seen Sienna yet.

The answer was that he had.

Rex arrived in Flento in the afternoon and didn't immediately go toSienna. Instead, he contacted Ayan's people first and learned fromthem that Mario was still in the hospital, and Sienna hadn't visited sincethe second day of his hospitalization. She hadn't even been to KingGroup.

Sienna hadn't left her apartment and had been ordering takeout everyday.

That was the most information they had so far.

After Rex received this information, he immediately drove to herapartment building. He waited downstairs until the takeout arrived andthen rang her doorbell, taking the opportunity to deliver the food to her.As she opened the door, she thought it was just the delivery person, soshe reached out to take the food and said, “Thank you" out of habit. Butwhen she saw the person standing at the door, she froze.

She stared at the man in front of her with wide eyes, filled with disbelief. Her initial reaction was to think that she was mistaken.

Because this man shouldn't be here in front of her. He should be inHance. Why did he suddenly appear here?

Sienna was completely stunned.

She stood there, completely frozen and unresponsive for a while, untilshe realized that her hair was a mess. She quickly closed the door. The loud sound echoed in Rex's ears and throughout the hallway.

With just a door separating them, Sienna's heart raced as if it wasabout to jump out of her chest. She couldn't hold back her feelings. She quickly tidied her hair and then nervously opened the door again.Their eyes met, and she looked at Rex and asked, "How... how did youcome here?"

Rex held up the takeout in his hand and said, "I came to deliver yourfood."

Sienna reached out and took it, knowing very well that he didn't comejust to deliver food.

She bit her lip lightly, her voice low as she asked, "Why... why did youcome to deliver food?"

She didn't know what to say.

Rex, on the other hand, remained calm and smiled lightly. “Isn't it whatyou ordered? You've been eating takeout for so many days. Aren't youtired of it?"

"So many days..."

After those words spread, she instantly understood.

She stared into Rex's eyes, feeling a bit embarrassed by what he said. She looked down slightly and said softly, "Because I don't know how tocook, so I can only eat takeout. I can't starve, can 1?"

“I'm not saying you can't eat. It's just that eating too much takeout isn'tgood for you. So, I'll cook for you tomorrow, alright?"

Rex didn't know how to cook before, but later, seeing that Ayan couldcook, he even enrolled in a cooking class. During the time Sienna wasaway from Hance, he spent his time learning to cook. Now, he can cooksome dishes.

Sienna didn't know about this, so when he mentioned cooking for her,she couldn't help but smile and ask, "Can you cook? Mr. Baxter, areyou joking with me?"

Rex didn't respond to that topic. After all, they were still standing at thedoorway. He lightly asked, "Can we go inside and talk? I've beendriving all day, waiting downstairs for the whole afternoon. I'm a bit tirednow. Can I sit down while we talk?"

He asked softly, his voice carrying a hint of helplessness, makingSienna instantly stunned.

But she quickly recovered and hurriedly said, "Come in!"

She stepped back, making room for Rex to enter, and then closed thedoor. Since there were no men's shoes in the house, she proactivelysaid, "No need to change shoes."

But Rex still insisted, "I'd better change my shoes."
