Selina started talking sternly.

"Sabrina, tell me what happened."

Sabrina realized that her mother was doubting her and decided to double down by shouting.

She stomped her feet on the ground. "Mommy! I already told you! That woman slapped me! Twice! Why don't you believe me?! She beat me up so badly that my face is swollen! Sabrina then ran away.

Selina immediately chased after her.

Leaving behind Dory and the woman.

The woman was still in shock.

It was as Aimeen had told her.

That little girl did come from a very wealthy family. Her father was the president of a large company and her mother came from a powerful family.

The woman realized if she had upset either of them, her life would be in danger.

Dory was scared as well.

She was scared that Sabrina's mother would punish her as well.

She saw how terrified the woman was and said to her, "It's okay madam. You should go home now. If they come back and ask, I'll tell them that it was all my fault." The woman was shocked to hear Dory say that.

She asked, "Where did that rich lady and her daughter go?"

"She ran off, her mother chased after her." Dory replied.

Aimeen whispered and said, "You didn't listen. I told you to put the blame on Auntie Lee. She's the one who slapped that little girl!"

Auntie Lee was the woman's name.

Aimeen didn't want to get in trouble for this and wanted her to take the blame.

But she steeled herself and said, "Mom, Auntie Lee did nothing wrong. She helped me and I won't let them hurt her." Aimeen lost her temper when she heard this.

She pulled at Dory's hair and yelled, Just what do you think you're doing you stupid girl?! You won't let people hurt her? So you'd rather protect her than your own mother?! You'd rather protect some old woman instead of your own family?! How shameful!"

Aimeen pulled hard on Dory's hair, nearly ripping her hair out. Dory screamed out in pain. Suddenly a figure approached.

It was the woman from earlier.

She had come back.

She was terrified earlier, but as she ran, she realized that she couldn't leave Dory by herself.

That little girl had so much courage, whereas she, an adult, ran. She decided to go back. So she did.

The moment she returned, she saw Aimeen beating Dory!
