“Why are you going office? It’s Sunday.” Caroline complained, serving breakfast to him.

“Because I’m scared that I will end up making love to you the whole day by staying by your side,” Artemis confessed and pulled a chair for her. Lucy smiled, looking at them and how they were taking care of each other.

“Pervert,” Caroline muttered, blushing.

“Lucy!! Someone is going to arrive at the doorstep.” Artemis said, catching Colton’s scent. Caroline raised her eyebrow, asking who was going to arrive. “You both, brother and sister, can have fun today. While I will be busy with Kane.”

“First, Colton is no FUN. And second, why are you spoiling Kane’s Sunday with work?”

“It’s urgent at this moment,” Artemis replied. “I will send him on vacation with his family when my situation will get a better little bit,” he added and smiled when his eyes landed on Colton, dressing up in his formals as if he was also going to the office. “Good Morning!!”

“Good Morning.” Colton replied before asking, “Going somewhere?”

“Yes. He has some important work at the office.” Caroline replied. “Come, join us at breakfast.”

“Great. Finally, I know where I can spend my day and do something productive.” Colton responded, to which Caroline rolled her eyes, knowing her brother’s wife was WORK. Artemis looked at Caroline, wondering what she would do then.

“I’m thinking of visiting both orphanage and Old age home,” Caroline answered his unasked question.

“And he is my assistant, Kane.” Artemis introduced Colton to his assistant but didn’t reveal to him that Colton was his brother-in-law because Colton didn’t want that to happen.

“Good Morning, Sir.” Kane greeted Colton as well, thinking of him as some investor that he had never met. Colton just nodded his head at his greeting.

After entering the cabin, Artemis asked, “So, what are you planning to do here? I mean, you mentioned that you want to do something productive.”

“I need a report of the projects in which you’re running loss,” Colton replied. Artemis looked at him for a while before asking Kane to bring all the reports into the cabin one by one.

While Colton was busy reading reports, Artemis worked on the total funds that he had and the total fund he required for the renovation of the first two floors of the hotels for the restaurant. After signing deals with the Weasley, they came to the term that wherever his hotels would be, Weasley’s Michelin star restaurants would also be there.

‘Even though I have cracked the deal. The company doesn’t have enough funds in the bank account to renovate all the hotels. I have to talk with other shareholders about the investment.’ He thought and prepared a proposal related to it.

“How long have you been handing office’s works?” Colton asked, feeling amazed by his work.

“Ten years,” Artemis replied. He wouldn’t have started working this early if his mate wouldn’t have given him the biggest pain of his life. He knew he had to do something to divert his mind, so instead of wasting time drinking or spoiling his life, he worked hard for his career. “I’m at this position, not because I’m my dad’s son. I have earned it,” he added. “What about you?”

“Just one and half years,” Colton replied. “I have to learn a lot of things from you.”

Artemis was surprised to hear that. Caroline told him that Colton rarely appreciated anyone’s work.

“Sure,” Artemis answered and looked at him like his younger that he never had. At the same time, Colton did feel the same way. Of course, he had his father to guide and teach a lot of things to him but having an elder brother was a different feeling.

[Caroline: What are you trying to do? Keeping an eye on mate while he will be working?][Colton: NO. I’m just checking if he needs my help, but as far as I can see, he just needs investment; the rest he has amazing in his work. Maybe he made a few mistakes in the past, but who doesn’t.][Caroline: You like him a lot, don’t you?][Colton: Nothing like that. You’re overthinking.]

Caroline smiled after reading her brother’s message and reached the Orphanage o finally see her little munchkins after six days. And as expected, everyone was so happy to see her.

“Do you know, sister, that now last week two kids were adopted, and one new little member returned back to the family?” Barbie, a girl of seven years, informed Caroline.

“Returned?” Caroline asked in a serious tone. She knew what it meant. Someone left the kid after adopting him or her.

“Yes. He first came here when he was very… very small, and now, he is back again.” Athrav, a four-year kid, told her.

‘How small he could be?’ She thought and excused herself to check on the kid about which they were talking. She asked one of the staff about the new kid, and she took Caroline to the room of the new kid.

“What is the reason that his foster parents left him?” Caroline asked.

“Actually, his foster family didn’t have any babies as their own until now. They complained that Bobby was a danger to their newborn’s life because Bobby tried to hurt him multiple times.” Maya informed.

“What?”

“Yes, and the worst part is that Bobby agreed to it,” Maya added. “I don’t know that full story, but maybe there is something that we can’t see.”
