"Raiya was killed by Stanley's men!"

I roared and glared at him with a ruthless look. "I recognized the gun that the kid was holding. Did you think that if you don't tell me, I wouldn't know about it?"

Jordan's neck stiffened. Obviously, he never expected me to figure out the truth. He was taken aback and speechless.

I sneered and struggled again. "Let go of me. Don't touch me with those merciless hands of yours. I feel disgusted!"

However, Jordan didn't move at all. He didn't let me go nor say a word. It was like he had turned into a rock.

After a while, he sighed as if he was tired. "What can I do to make you forget those things?"

"Nothing," I blurted out.

"It has to be resolved, and you can't leave me. There will always be a knot in your heart, and it's not good for you or me. Whatever you say, I'll do it without hesitation," Jordan replied calmly. The knot in my heart was revolving around Raiya. How could I just forget?

Hendrix did say that we have to seek revenge for Raiya, and if Raiya died in the hands of Stanley's men, then so be it. I'll push him to death by the hands of Stanley as well!

"Unless you get rid of Stanley and stop doing these cruel things from now on. I know you can do it. You must have a clean business." I shut my eyes and did as I pleased to push his limits.

With me by his side, Stanley almost took his life. This time, if he chose to leave this criminal group, what would the outcome be?

Jordan's handsome face turned cold, and the grip on my arms loosened. His gaze was hazy for a second, and he didn't answer immediately.

He knew very well how much he had to pay for this.

"What's wrong? Are you hesitating?" I asked sarcastically. "Compared to me, you value your dirty money more and have to live life on the edge."

"It doesn't matter. This is all a game to you anyway. You can't do it, and it only proves that you and Hendrix are very outstanding. You won't lose your mind over love."

"But the difference is that Hendrix

had once done it for me. That's why

I still love him to this day. But you, you are smarter. You've never invested in anything, nor have you lost anything. Even when you are loathing it and even tired of it, you wouldn't get tangled by me. You are the smartest one," I said mockingly.

I continued poking him, "Whatever, I never had any hope for you anyway."

After saying so much, Jordan had

yet to come to his senses. I then hurriedly escaped his grip, ran into the quest room next door, and

slammed the door shut once I got in.

There was no lock. In any case, Jordan could easily get a key to open the door even if it were locked. It was pointless to try.

However, at that moment, I needed some personal space, even if it was just for a few minutes.

To my surprise, Jordan didn't bother me again. When I walked out of the room in the afternoon, he was gone. Even the men who guarded the house were gone.

I was a little surprised and thought

that Jordan had completely given up control of me. However, when I went downstairs, I just realized that they had only just moved out of the

house.

I was too naive.

But at least there wasn't a need to see Jordan's face that day. That itself was a blessing.

Late at night, I stared blankly at the female anchor on TV, wondering when Hendrix would be able to breakthrough Jordan's lair.

Suddenly, Jordan stumbled in. From the door, there was a strong smell of alcohol that lingered in the air.
