I frowned. I knew I needed to move on.

I sighed slightly. "I know, I..."

"Then we go on with my plan!"

"I want to take Anne to Hovell!" I said as I looked at him.

"With who?" He put down the spoon, looking rather cold.

"With Aaron!"

He pursed his lips as he was a little unhappy, "When did you decide?"

"It was before the New Years!" I was not aware of Monique's condition at that time.

"You did not intend to tell me, did you?" He was a little angry.

I felt pain throbbing in my head. I pinched the temples and answered impatiently, "You know now."

I put down the spoon and went to the study room.

I could not eat anymore.

I was still in charge of the Granger Group projects. The company will launch a new product and marketing proposal must be ready after the New

Year.

However, I did not have the mood to read the marketing proposal. I was not tired yet my head was aching.

Hendrix leaned against the door looking at me. He did not seem angry anymore.

I got annoyed as he stared at me. I asked, "What's wrong?"

He raised his eyebrows and answered, "Anne is here."

I put down my work to see Anne. Hendrix stopped me at the door and kissed me on the lips.

He let go of me after kissing for a while. He held my hand and went downstairs together.

lan was playing with Anne in the living room. Uncle Charles and Aaron were there watching them.

Aaron did not know how to take care of children. Besides, Anne was too young for him to handle

So he decided not to touch Anne at all. However, he would criticize and gave his suggestion to lan from time to time.

lan was so angry that he shoved Anne into Aaron's arms. He said to Aaron, "You're right in everything, carry her then!"

Aaron didn't dare to move with Anne in his arms.

He was a tall and built person but he was very careful when carrying Anne.

His body was as stiff as a big stone. Anne's little hand curiously grabbed Aaron's expensive watch.

When he saw me coming down the stairs, he heaved a sigh of relief. He immediately looked at Hendrix and said, "You're too slow. Hurry up and take your daughter." Hendrix had been taking care of Anne for some time. He taught himself.

He took Anne over from Aaron naturally and played with her in his arms.

lan threw a scornful look at Aaron, "Look at you. Who would want a man who does not know how to take care of a child?"

Aaron answered him back, "Yes, you can do everything. Yet you don't have a girlfriend."

lan sneered. "Who cares if I don't have a girlfriend? Why do I need a girlfriend? Why do you need a girlfriend?"

These two people...

Acting like children!

I sat beside Uncle Charles and made him a cup of tea. He frowned as he saw I was busy. "Where is the nanny?" "She is not working today." I smiled as I explained.

"The nanny will come if Anne is around. Hendrix and I don't really like to have others in our home."

Charles nodded and looked at Hendrix. "I heard that you've obtained a valuable item lately. Aren't you planning to show me?"

Hendrix raised his eyebrows and passed Anne to lan. Then, the two of them went straight to the study. It was obvious that they had something to discuss.

Aaron's eyes were focused on Anne. I could not help asking him, "You're 35 years old this year. When are you going to settle down?"

Aaron glanced at me. Ian grunted, "He is good for nothing. Who wants him anyway?"

"Why do you care?" Aaron shot lan a look. He turned to me and answered, "What's the point of getting married? I'll just stay by your side and live a good life with Anne."
