"After spending thousands of dollars on the plane ticket from Jarold City to Ucrebury, you're telling me that you came here just to have a meal with me?" She raised her eyebrows, "Yes!"

As expected, I didn't understand the world of rich people.

After eating and chatting for a while, I still had no idea what Freya was planning to do.

Seeing that it didn't seem like she was going to leave, I felt a headache brewing. I said, "Miss Moore, we..."

"He's coming!" She did not pay any attention to me at all. Her gaze fell on the person who had walked in through the door of the restaurant. She appeared to be very excited.

I was astonished. I quickly shifted my gaze to the person who made hade lose her bearings like this.

The man who came in had a refined aura about him and good-looking features. He exuded warmth and sophistication.

What an elegant gentleman.

I felt like words could not do his beauty or elegance justice.

"He's Zachary Holt. What do you think? He's handsome, right?" Freya asked, her eyes never leaving him.

I looked away and pursed my lips, "So, did you trick me here and stall for half a day just to see him?"

She shrugged her shoulders and smiled innocently, "You may interpret it that way, if you like. After all, it would've been very awkward for me to eat alone for so long."

I was rendered speechless.

So, I was just a pawn, a tool.

Forget it.

What could I even do at this point?

I stared at her and asked, "How long have you known each other?"

As if she had suddenly found a common topic with me, she excitedly replied, "It's been 469 days, but 470 days if I were to count today as well."

I was dumbfounded.

That was accurate of her.

Zachary entered the dining hall and sat down at a different spot. A pretty woman sat beside him.

I lifted my eyebrows and glanced at Freya, "Are you stalking him?"

She clicked her tongue, "What do you mean stalking? Stop being so vulgar. This is just a coincidence."

I had to suppress the urge to laugh.

"He is a professor at the University of Ucrebury. That person sitting next to him is his student," she told me while her eyes continued staring at that man.

"A nightclub owner with a professor. Miss Moore, you are amazing," I stated.

She shot me a sideways glance and when she saw me chuckling, she could not help but say, "What are you talking about? We're a good match."

I held my chin and relied, "Didn't you just tell me that my mind is full of love and resentment? What about you?"

Her mouth twitched, "This is my career, my love and my life. Do you understand?"

I shifted my gaze to Zachary. The girl who was sitting with him seemed to have left.

Freya pulled me up and said shamelessly, "Come on, let's go sit with him."

I was at a loss for words.

She then dragged me towards Zachary's dining table, smiling like a noble lady the whole way.

"Professor Holt, it's been a while. What a coincidence to meet you here. Are you alone?"

Zachary caught sight of her and then peered at me. He pushed his black framed glasses up his nose bridge and asked with knitted brows, "And you are?"

I was surprised. It turned out that Freya had known him for 470 days one-sidedly. Professor Holt actually had no impression of her at all.

"Professor Holt, I'm Freya. We met in Jarold University while you gave a speech there a while ago."

Zachary paused for a moment and finally remembered. He stood up and greeted, "You're Mr. Moore's younger sister, Miss Moore!"

When Freya saw that he remembered her, she beamed with happiness. Without waiting for Zachary to speak, she responded, "It's rare to see you in Ucrebury. I would like to ask you some economics- related questions - would it be convenient for you to discuss it with me now?"

Freya was the only one who could talk about getting a free meal in such a refreshing way.

Zachary smiled gently, "Of course, please have a seat.'

As soon as she sat down, Freya set her eyes on me and asked, "Arianna, you're leaving soon to pick your husband up, right? Will you make it in time?"

I was flabbergasted.
