Chapter 84: Destroy Him

Freya POV Rejection

It was the most excruciating pain I had ever received in my life. When Walker rejected me, I stared at him incredulously. I couldn't believe that Drexel was forcing us to part

I did so much for him. Duped Drexel in many ways. Funded his shell companies when I also knew that he had gambling addiction. Yes, Walker had come in contact with Nash Perez. I was turning a blind eye to it but I thought that once I would gift the Moonstone Pack to him in

our marriage, his attention would be diverted

After I rejected Walker, Drexel's wolves descended upon the cottage I was in, like savage beasts. They took me as their captive but left Walker. They said that he was of no use to them. At first, I didn't understand because Walker had access to all the shell companies and also all the money we jointly owned, but later I came to know why they weren't bothered about Walker

When I reached the Moonstone Pack, it was early in the morning. Boris left me at Kiev's place but there were four gamma warriors who were keeping an eye on me. Kiev opened the door of his house and found me with my hands cuffed and a special helmet on my head to prevent me from shifting

They didn't need it because I was feeling so much pain after Walker's rejection that it was as if I was moving like a robot. All the way back to the Moonstone Pack, I was quiet. My mind was numb because it couldn't understand the shock that had dug its thorns inside of me. I wanted to cry, but the depression drove me to switch off my body to every emotion that was cruising through it. All I wanted was to curl myself and shut myself from everything and everyone

Eyes wide, Kiev opened the door wide enough to let me and the warriors enter. "What is going on?" he asked, shocked written all over his face

Boris opened my hand cuffs and unlocked my helmet with the same key. One look at me and Kiev's face paled. I stared at him with blank

eyes

"Oh my God!" he rasped

"Miss Freya was found to breach the confidentiality of the Moonstone Pack. She was found to embezzle funds and siphon off the pack's money. She will be kept in house arrest till Alpha Drexel makes his decision," Boris informed. "And she will remain in your house until then."

Blood drenched from Kiev's face as he whipped his head between me and Boris and rest of the gamma warriors, when realization hit him like gravity. He knew that we were busted. And we were deep in waters

"You both will not be allowed to leave the house," Boris continued. "You will be fed while you are living here. Megan has been assigned to send food to you."

As if unable to take any more of this, Kiev succumbed. He sank on the sofa behind him as his mouth fell to the floor

Boris left while the gammas remained stationed around our house

I looked at Kiev for a long time and then in a slow voice that sounded warbled to me, I said, "Drexel forced me to reject Walker..."

"What?" Kiev's knuckles went inside his mouth

as the last bit of wits vanished

However, my own words hit me like a tsunami and everything around me faded. I lost consciousness. Besides losing a part of my soul

When I woke up next, I didn't know how long I had been out. It was dark on the outside and also in my heart. Somehow, I managed to get out of the bed and go to the bathroom on my shaky knees. When I returned, I lay back in my bed and curled, hugging my knees to my chest. I avoided the food that was kept on the bedside table, having lost all my appetite

I knew that Drexel was ruthless, but he had been very nice with me. It was fair to take advantage of him because I wanted everything for my mate. After rejecting Walker, I was feeling empty, but yet another feeling took roots

in my heart. Of revenge

I was going to avenge Drexel in a way that he would think twice before fucking up with a she- wolf like me. And for that my plans had to be in place

For two days, it was impossible to handle the rejection. And surprisingly in those two days Drexel didn't come even once to see me

It was on the third day that my mind began to gather coherence. I took a long bath under a hot shower and scrubbed myself off Walker's smell

It was the smell I had held for two days as if it was my last lifeline

When I came back to my room, the first thing I

did was to call Drexel

"How are you, sweetie?" his voice crooned over the phone

"You didn't come to see me even once, Drexel?" I complained as I brushed my hair, looking at my reflection in the mirror. I had dark circles under my eyes

"I wanted to give you time for yourself. So what decision have you made finally?"

"Let's get married," I found myself saying. He did all this to marry me, then why delay our matriage

"Sure!" he replied as if smiling at his victory

"When do you want to get married?"

"On the weekend," I replied. "Why waste time?"

"That's interesting," he chuckled. After a moment of silence in which I was sure he was stunned, he said, "I will call the Shaman and fix the time."

"That would be nice," I replied coldly. "I can't wait."

"Great!" he exclaimed. "I suggest that you stay with Kiev for a while."

"Okay..." I disconnected the call. I knew that if

he had discovered my fraud, he must have discovered Kiev''s too. There was no point in hiding it. But I could fake my redemption

My plans to destroy him kicked in
