Chapter 85: Marriage Invitations

Freya POV

Kiev had a small and cozy house. Whenever he didn't like to stay in the packhouse, which was most of the time, he came to stay in his house

The house consisted of a small hall on the ground floor with a kitchen that led to a tiny backyard and a master bedroom where Kiev stayed. There were two rooms on the second floor with a common bathroom. The room I was in opened into a narrow balcony

I was aware of the gammas that were standing outside the balcony. I could gear their movement throughout the day and night. Kiev

hadn't been able to talk to me because I was not feeling well, because I was dealing with the rejection, but I could sense the anger bubbling inside him. He wanted to question me, and I wanted to avoid him because if I answered his questions, I knew I would snap. And it was important to keep myself cold in order to execute my revenge against the fuckwit called Drexel

I walked to my small closet that I had maintained in Kiev's house. I pulled out a pajama and a crop top. I pinned my hair up and then walked to my table. Taking a paper and a pen out, I went to sit in the balcony. I reclined on the wicker chair and placed my feet on the rail of the balcony and as soon as I was about to write out the points of my plan, I heard a knock on the door

It was Kiev. He came to the balcony with two mugs of hot coffee and cookies. And cigarettes

Just what I needed

Passing one mug to me, he asked, "How are you feeling, Freya?" I could see how he gazed at me

There was pity in his eyes. I knew I looked like shit. There were dark circles under my eyes, but they couldn't be darker than the ink that was in my heart. Ink so dark that I would spill it out on the Moonstone Pack and plunge it into complete darkness

"Like shit," I replied and sipped on hot coffee

"Drexel has busted all our companies," he breathed. He took out a cigarette and lit it for me

I dragged in a long puff and said, "I know." I blew smoke through my mouth and nostrils

He let out an exasperated sigh and dragged his bottom lip in between his teeth. "So what are we going to do now?" He lit a cigarette for himself

I placed the mug on the side table, cigarette on the ashtray, and wrote in the paper. "Be patient

Don't talk loudly. How is mother?" I looked up at him as he stared at my words in the paper and said, "I will marry Drexel. What else?"

Kiev clenched his jaws. He took the pen from me and wrote back, "Mother is fine but too guarded. She informed me that Drexel has changed the venue of all meetings to a different

location. He had gone out for two days with a large group of warriors somewhere. But he seems eager to marry you."

My lips curled up. That was the first part of the plan. I was going to go to the Moon Goddess temple with him to get married. And then-

"Can you get my phone and your laptop?" I asked Kiev in a soft voice

"Sure," he replied and hurried inside

As he went in, I crumpled the paper and lit it with the lighter

Kiev came shortly afterwards with his laptop. I

was no fool to think that Kiev's laptop was already hacked into. I was sure that Drexel's beta must have put his men to work to fish out every information before Drexel even knew about it. That's why I hated Leo and Eric. They were too loyal to Drexel and looked at everyone with suspicion. Except Penelope. That intrigued me a lot. They both had started liking the girl

Penelope had achieved something very faster than I had ever imagined

I opened Kiev's laptop. Using my knowledge, I shielded his laptop with a layer of my codes and then latched it onto my phone's network. If they had sensed that Kiev's screen had flared up, then they would have to break through a few firewalls before getting inside it. And by then I will be done and let the history stay

"Do you remember Alpha Jackson, I told you about two years back?" I asked Kiev jokingly

He nodded lightly, narrowing his eyes and dragging in a puff

My first plan was to compile a list of all the Alphas who were loyal to Drexel and those who had already submitted to him

"He is very loyal to Drexel and owns a big pack in Wyoming. I was planning on getting a list of all the Alphas who are loyal to Drexel and sending them an invitation for our marriage

Can you help me with that?"

Kiev grunted. "Why will you do that?" he asked with distaste

"L have to send them all invitations. It would not look nice if the strongest, the wealthiest and the most powerful Alpha would marry..." I tapped my chin. "...alone."

He raised his eyebrow as if asking me are you for real. But I shrugged and passed him the laptop. As he busied himself reluctantly, I got to my main plan, which was to get the five Alphas who were deadly against Drexel and who I had cultivated after I met Walker. I knew that they would come handy at some point of time in my life. Now was that time

While Kiev took the list out of every Alpha who was loyal to Drexel, 1t would buy me time to contact these five Alphas. I knew that Drexel's men must have started breaking the firewalls

around Kiev's laptop. Good. I wanted them to be engaged there. Let them think that I plan on surprising Drexel. I let out a small laugh and this was a genuine one in so many days

I sipped on my coffee as I smoked. Crushing the cigarette's butt in the ashtray, I lifted my mug and walked inside. I closed the door of the balcony and then placed my first call
