I shake the thought of my son out of my head and walk back to theoffice, where both women are chatting away.

"your done already?" Sally pouts at me and I grin back at her.

"yep, tell him if he keeps this up I'll charge him extra.” she giggles,Mulan and I smile at her and watch as she stands up and hands overthe cash to my cousin who quickly puts it away.

"so are you guys coming to the pack party tonight? Colton says thereare a few Alphas coming with there mates and the alpha king will bethere to." Sally was beyond excited about this party, I saw Mulanquickly look my way then back at Sally. I showed no emotion and juststared at the tiny girl who was talking away about other crap with thepack.

“I'm not going.” I tell them, Mulan shows me her sad pitting eyes but Iignore her. Sally now has her mouth wide open.

"But you have to, everyone in the pack has to go." I raise and eye browat her words, it took a few seconds for her to realise just what she saidand her head goes down as her cheeks turn red.

"I forgot your not in our pack.” I smile and place my hand on hershoulder.

"I have my Dad's pack to rely on and because they don't have to bethere then neither do I.” she nodded and hugged me tight, I just stoodthere in shock, staring at my cousin who was trying not to laugh at me."well I better go, I'll talk to you both later.” before we could reply shewas out the door climbing up the truck and then pulled out of theshop.

"are you really not going?" my cousin ask in a soft voice.

"l will be busy, I have the car show on tonight.” and for once I wasglade I had to attend the car show.

"do you want me to come with you?" I walk out to the kitchen and hearher following me.

"that's up to you dear cousin, it's only a show it starts at 8pm if you dodecide you want to come." even though I gave her the offer I knew shewould end up at the pack dinner as her mate is the delta in their pack. Igrabbed my now full coffee cup and went back out to the workshop tofinish off the painting on a Lamborghini. the owner decided he wanteda hand painted tiger with its claws running across the bonnet of the car.taking a deep breath, I grab my brush and start. where I had finished offyesterday. I got so into the painting that i didn't realise it was already6pm out side, until my cousin taps my shoulder to get my attention andthen flashes her phone in my face.

"shit" I grabbed my stuff and lock up, we both jumped in the car andflew off towards my little blue house with steel fencing around it. Asshe pulls up I tell a bye and race up to the door. I didn't have time tostop, I jump into the shower and wash the paint and grease off mybody and out of my hair.

after I wrapped the towel around my body i brush my hair and put it upinto a high ponytail with a few stands to curl around my face and thencurl a few pieces in the ponytail, I then put some mascara and eye lineron with a touch of gloss to my lips.

I raced to my room and put on my black lace underwear then chuckedon my black and silver strapless dress that has a split on one side. onceI put my silver high heels on, I look at the time to see it was time toleave, I got into my ford f350 ute and drove off towards the car show.thankfully it didn't take me long to get there and when I did, I noticed itwas already full of people and fancy cars. As I made my way to the frontentrance a hand grabbed my arm stopping me in my tracks.

I look up at the person to see dark brown eyes staring back at me, mymouth drops open as I watch a smirk cross his lips.

"so this is where you've been hiding out?" his deep voice growled outin a playful manner making me laugh.

"I was never hiding dear beta.” he growls out when I mention his statusand then surprises me by grabbing my arm and lacing it through his,before I could object he was walking us both through the main doors.every single soul in the room stopped dead and turned to watch us aswe walked down the stairs into the room. it was like they had all frozenas their eyes widen once they saw the king's beta standing beside me.
