Chapter 126

Next to them, Terence’s brother, Andrew Hark, asked, “Mr. Foley, what’s this supposed to mean? Are you asking for my brother’s…”

“Break one of his legs, Brian interjected coldly.

Andrew visibly trembled, attempting to clarify, “Mr. Foley, technically, both my brother and your wife are victims here. The one who orchestrated this was Mrs. Foley’s uncle.”

“That’s your issue with Chris. From where I stand, all I know is, my wife was assaulted. If she hadn’t acted quickly to knock your brother out, we wouldn’t be discussing just breaking a leg today,” Brian stated firmly.

The Hark family members were all taken aback. A cold shiver ran down their spines.

Indeed, if Terence had harmed Stella, the repercussions would have been beyond comprehension.

Andrew pondered Brian’s words. “Mr. Foley, we’ll take care of Chris ourselves. You can count on us to make him pay for what he did to my brother.”

Brian’s lips curled into a faint smile as he listened.

Andrew was certain he had deciphered Brian’s message correctly. He understood that Brian expected them to handle Chris on their own terms

Andrew approached Brian and said with a humble tone. “My brother’s in the ICU. Can you consider being

lenient with him?”

Brian’s gaze turned cold. “One leg. No negotiations.”

Intimidated by Brian’s demeanor, Andrew visibly recoiled. “Alright, we’ll provide you with a satisfactory-

answer tomorrow.”

“Escort them out,” Brian commanded, rising and guiding Stella upstairs.

Yvonne escorted the Hark family members out of the room.

Stella glanced back at them and quietly asked Brian, “Are you really going to break his leg?”

*Actions have consequences. If he doesn’t pay for what he’s done, he’ll do it again, Rather than feeling sorry for him, think about other innocent women he drugged,” Brian replied firmly.

Stella was taken aback by his response. She hadn’t realized he held such strong principles.

At that moment, Stella’s sympathy for Terence evaporated completely.

He drugged those innocent women–he deserved whatever punishment was coming his way.

Stella returned to her room for a shower, and as she dried off, her phone on the desk kept ringing–it was

Yoel calling her.

Sitting down, Stella answered, “Hello, Mr. Perkins.”

“I heard there was some trouble at your company today, Yoel said over the line.

Stella hesitated briefly. “Mr. Perkins, how did you hear about that?

“Yelena told me,” Yoel replied. Since they had a collaboration, they were in a joint WhatsApp group.

Stella opened the WhatsApp group. Indeed, Yelena had informed Yoel about today’s events.

Stella felt a twinge of embarrassment. “It’s honestly not a big deal.”

“Do you need me to step in and help? Yoel offered.

Shaking her head, Stella replied, “No, I’ll take care of it myself tomorrow.”

Earlier, she had some concerns, but Brian’s words tonight resonated with her. She realized that if people didn’t face consequences for their actions, they would kely repeat them.

Brian’s words echoed in her mind. “When you feel soft–hearted, think about how hard–hearted they were when they harmed you.”

“Yeah, if Chris had shown an ounce of compassion back then, he wouldn’t have sold me out to Terence Since he disregarded family ties, I won’t hesitate to be assertive now,” Stella thought to herself.

“Can you handle it?” Yoel asked,

Stella smiled confidently. “I may not handle it alone, but there’s always the police. If they persist, I’ll report

them and let the law deal with them.

“I didn’t know you had it in you,” Yoel remarked.

Stella blushed, a bit taken aback by the unexpected praise.

Meanwhile, Brian emerged from the shower, toweling off his hair. His eyes fell upon the jewelry box resting on the table–a pink diamond bracelet he had planned to give Stella.
